Ashbrooke Care home is located in a quiet residential area on the edge of Enniskillen with views of the nearby countryside. Local amenities including shops, restaurants and the farmers’ cattle market are all located nearby.

One of Enniskillen’s most popular homes, Ashbrooke Care Centre is a modern, purpose built 64-bedroom care home which offers specialist nursing, residential and dementia care in a relaxed, homely setting. The home also offers short and long term respite breaks to allow home carers to take a much needed break.

Facilities include en-suite bedrooms throughout, spacious lounges, an on-site hair salon and attractive, landscaped grounds with an enclosed garden for the residents.

Care Manager Heather Johnson is a highly experienced manager who has over 30 years of experience as a Registered General Nurse and additional qualifications including a Diploma in Orthopaedic Nursing and Rehabilitation (Edinburgh), a Certificate in Sexual Health Skills for Nurses (RCN) and has recently completed a qualification in Leadership and Management at CMI level 7.

The highly trained care team at Ashbrooke take care of the varied needs of the residents, from specialist support to general assistance with everyday activities, whilst also respecting their independence and dignity.

A full time Activities Coordinator provides residents with a full programme of activities, entertainment and events to choose from. The home benefits from strong links to the local community thanks to hosting various community events throughout the year and having established good a relationship with the local council, church groups, GPs, physiotherapists, social workers and other healthcare professionals.

Everyone goes that extra mile to make the residents happy. Care staff, cleaners, nursers, and management, always have a smile on their faces and are happy to help. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother-in-law couldn't be cared for any better.

All the staff in the home are very pleasant and helpful, nothing is too much bother, they are so kind to everyone and there is a lovely atmosphere. They do all they can to make things easier for my grandmother. All my family are very happy and greatful for the wonderful care they give.

I have been nursing for over 30 years in each of the areas: NHS, Private Hospital, Private Care Homes and also have worked for two large corporate organisations - in both roles as Deputy Manager and Manager. I am qualified as a Registered General Nurse (Queens University Belfast), Diploma in Orthopaedic Nursing and Rehabilitation (Edinburgh), and have Certificate in Sexual Health Skills for Nurses (RCN).
