L’Hermitage is located within a retirement village, with pleasant views and a purpose-built interior ideal for both residential and nursing care needs.

Inside and out, no expense has been spared to provide the very highest standards of care in quite sumptuous accommodation. Bedrooms and communal areas in this impressive two-storey home are furnished and decorated to exacting levels. Many rooms are also fitted with the latest in ceiling tracking systems which facilitate accessibility for people with mobility impairments. L’Hermitage offers a full range of residential and nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. The Review Score of 8.215 for L'Hermitage is based on 2 Reviews/Recommendations in the last 2 years.

  • The Review Score (maximum of 10) is made up of a Quality Score (maximum of 5) and Quantity Score (maximum of 5):

    • Quality Score: 5 Points are available for the average rating. For each review the care home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The care home / service receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating. (Please note that the ratings of Very Poor and Poor have only been available since the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015.)

      The Quality Score (average rating) of 4.917 for L'Hermitage is calculated as follows: ( (22 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.917

    • Quantity Score: 5 Points are available for the number of 'Positive Reviews' for a care home / service. A Positive Review is defined as:

      • Any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this care provider to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

      • Any Recommendation. Before the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015 all feedback was limited to Recommendations (ie positive comments only)

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

      1. 3 points for receiving the first Positive Review.

      2. 0.1 Point per Positive Review, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. (ie a care home / service requires 10 Positive Reviews to receive the maximum score of 1 point.)

      3. (Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.

(For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

The Quantity Score of 3.298 for L'Hermitage is calculated as follows:

      1. 2 Positive Reviews = 3

      2. 0.1 x 2 Positive Reviews = 0.200

      3. (2 Positive Reviews ÷ 41 Registered Beds) x 2 = 0.098

My Mother has resided at L'Hermitage since the middle of August 2014 and I can honestly say I have never had cause to complain. I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. They take time to talk to me if I have any questions and they treat my Mother with the utmost respect. The nursing home provides nourishing food and there are many activities to engage the residents. All areas, both inside and out, are kept scrupulously clean and it's always a pleasure to visit. The surrounding area is also conductive to well-being. A real home from home.

Description:

I lead my professional Care Team in delivering the highest level of care and support for our residents.

My commitment to professional development has equipped me well for my role here, where I work hard to ensure that those in my care lead happy and fulfilling lives, whilst maintaining choice over the care and support they receive.

I believe in maintaining strong relationships with residents and their relatives, and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of a care home.

I feel that the Caring Homes philosophy matches up well with my own beliefs on care provision, and I am committed to ensuring that all our residents continue to receive the high levels of care and protection they deserve.
