Happy and friendly home. Kind caring and interested staff, very genuine care. Lovely garden centred modern building. Delightful en-suite room with private door to garden. Good choice of food nicely presented. Always someone available to help with queries etc.
Review of Kingfishers on Wednesday 8 May 2013 by Paul S (Son of resident)
I developed a relationship with Kingfishers after my mother died. Three months ago, my father came for respite care and while he is sad not to return home the family know that he is in the best place, which gives great piece of mind. The culture of caring, openness and clear communication permeates the whole home. There is no mistaking the genuineness of staff in their thoughtfulness , friendliness and attention to detail. My father, a man not prone to flattery or compliments, often tells me how well looked after he is. I could not hope or expect more.

I cannot speak more highly of the way in which my dear husband is being cared for in Kingfishers. He was a very clever, highly qualified man, but he is now a poor old fellow. Nevertheless, he and everyone else including visitors are treated kindly and with respect. I mark them 10 out of 10!

I have nothing but praise for this home. The manager and all of the staff were always so pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My friend, the resident, was certainly not the easiest person to deal with but never said a word of complaint about any of the staff. The environment, food and multiple activities for the residents were all excellent.
Review of Kingfishers on Friday 5 April 2013 by Lindsay Dyke (Daughter of resident)
My whole family agree that we were so lucky to be offered a place at Kingfishers for my Dad, Revd Trevor Rowe. He has vascular dementia and was beginning to need nursing care that his previous care home could not provide. I visit him at least every other day and cannot fault the care that he and his fellow residents receive. The staff give kindness, physical care, mental stimulation, endless conversation, hugs & hand holding to all residents as if they were looking after their own family members, which is so reassuring to relatives. I understand about the sometimes "challenging behaviour" of some residents but nothing seems to faze the care staff at Kingfishers! I really cannot fault anything about Kingfishers Care Home and am just glad that we were so lucky to find it. Well done to all who work there!
