For each review the care home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The care home / service receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating. • Any Recommendation. Before the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015 all feedback was limited to Recommendations (ie positive comments only)

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

      1. 3 points for receiving the first Positive Review.

      2. 0.1 Point per Positive Review, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. (ie a care home / service requires 10 Positive Reviews to receive the maximum score of 1 point.)

      3. (Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.

(For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

The Quantity Score of 3.574 for Foxton Court is calculated as follows:

      1. 4 Positive Reviews = 3

      2. 0.1 x 4 Positive Reviews = 0.400

      3. (4 Positive Reviews ÷ 46 Registered Beds) x 2 = 0.174

I've been here for respite care for the last ten months, soon to return home. During my stay here, I've been most impressed by the way the home is run and the standard of care given willingly by the lovely staff. I would have no reservations about recommending the home to anyone considering residency.

My father is currently a resident of Foxton Court and has been there for approximately 3 weeks. He originally went there for 2 weeks respite following a fall however he has decided to stay there now for the foreseeable future. From the very first day, the staff at the home have gone out of their way to make his stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Everyone is very friendly and he has been looked after very well. His room is clean and comfortable and he enjoys the activities and days out when he gets the chance. The food is very good with plenty of choice. The common areas are spacious and bright and again there is choice as to dining rooms and lounges. My father also enjoys sitting in the garden where there is plenty of seating in pleasant surroundings. I would not hesitate to recommend Foxton Court to anyone.

We are both pleased with all the aspects of Foxton Court but in particular the caring attitude of all the staff. Our aunt has had a really full life and took it very hard having to give up her home and independence following a fall, she has hearing problems and is visually impaired and yet the staff still manage to involve her in as many activities as possible. Nothing is a problem from arranging hospital appointments and keeping us in touch with all that is going on she is now very much at home there. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful patient, caring staff and managers.

Foxton Court provides a consistently high standard of care that we are very pleased to have found for my mother whilst we have not visited any other homes with which to compare, its what we have heard from other people, convinces us that we have made an excellent choice. The opportunity for my mother to have brought some of her own furniture has made her room feel like her home. The quality of the care staff is particularly high and the Helen McArdle management systems ensure that standards are maintained.
