When it became obvious that my Mum could no longer live alone, in her forgetfulness, she chose Brampton Lodge as her home and was well cared for during her 3 and a half years living there. The staff were professional and caring and did their best to motivate. There was freedom within the locked community and frequent visits out with the family, and some outings arranged by Brampton Lodge. A new build, the architecture enabled an open garden to residents, and modern facilities with an ensuite wet room to each bedroom. Maintaining personal dignity of the residents is a priority with staff. This can be witnessed by sitting in the lounge, which is vibrant and ever changing - no booked seats here! At the end of life there was an open and caring partnership with family, and other professional staff, such as GP's, District Nurses and MacMillan Nurses. There was a commitment to enable Mum to be cared for in her own surroundings and with the care staff with whom she had built good relationships. The level of caring is superb. The management structure is very enabling and paying for this care was made simple through the finance department. Thank you to you all.
