The Manorhey community has been designed to exacting standards in order to promote unrivalled standards of Dignity and Care. All rooms offer accommodation that is oversized to afford in-room dining or an intimate social gathering with a common theme being that of dedicated en-suite shower and lavatory facilities. Spacious communal lounges, onsite dining rooms and hair & beauty salon offer opportunities to meet new friends or socialise with old ones.
The Manorhey Activity Program has supplemented its general schedule with Montessori based activity. In recent times the methods have been adapted to the care home setting and used to high acclaim in the United States where benefits have been witnessed in the care of residents suffering from various forms of dementia. Accordingly Montessori methods can be used to relate with and engage more successfully those affected by memory loss. The principles promote dignity and encourage all who engage with residents to honour the individual’s spirit.

Review of Manorhey Care Centre, Manchester, Greater Manchester by Sue Sharp (Daughter of previous resident)
Friday 11 January 2013
Our lovely Dad was only a resident for a short time before he sadly passed away. All the staff at the Manorhey did their absolute best to make both Dad and us feel welcome from his first day. His room was kept clean, he loved the food and whilst his needs were complex and many, everyone did their very best to support him. During his stay he was encouraged to join in with the activities and supported with introductions to other residents with whom he could chat to. As a family we were reassured and supported with what had been a difficult decision to place Dad in a care setting. I can comfortably say if we had to choose a care setting again we would still choose the Manorhey.

I had to find a home for my aunty with special care for dementia. I found Manorhey Care Home in Urmston, Manchester. My aunty has now been in Manorhey for a few weeks and I have to say how much better she is with the specialist care that she receives. All the Staff are caring, treat the Residents with respect and are friendly and professional, I have found them very approachable, and easy to speak to.

Review of Manorhey Care Centre, Manchester, Greater Manchester by Michaela Royle (Great Grand-daughter of past resident)

Although my Grandma has now sadly past away - I feel Manorhey did a fantastic job while she was there, She was always clean, someone was always coming to check up on her, The staff were very polite and welcoming. Every time I went to visit my grandma, a staff member would be round offering tea/coffee and biscuits - not only to my grandma but to me as well. There was always some form of entertainment on, I remember one of my last few visits there was a belly dancer - She was fab and my grandma loved it too. I want to thank Manorhey for taking care of my grandma for the last 2 years of her life. I miss my grandma deeply - Mrs Amy Byrom! RIP Grandma xxx
