Review of Bohill House, Coleraine, County Antrim by Nuala Ellison (Daughter in Law of resident)
Tuesday 16 April 2013
My Mother in Law has been a resident of the Bohill Care Home since September 2011. She is very happy there and is treated with dignity and respect. The staff working in the home are professional and it is evident that much emphasis is put on the recruitment process, recruiting individuals who are professional, experienced and work well in the team. The staff always seem to have time to talk to you and even whilst working in such a challenging environment always seem to be able to smile through. When my mother in Law arrived in the home she was frail and weak from a stroke however with attention from the staff and the excellent food that is provided she has gained weight and is now much healthier. The menu is varied and healthy and special dietary requirement well catered for. The activities that are offered for the residents to engage in are varied and well thought out to appeal to the variety of personalities. There are bus trips around the coast organised which my Mother in Law really enjoys. The home is kept clean and fresh and my Mother in Law's room is well kept and clean and all rooms are equipped with a large en-suite bathroom with shower which provides privacy. I feel that the Bohill is a well kept, well managed nursing home and would recommend to friends and regularly do. The staff and management should be proud of what they have achieved in a short time and they have a very good reputation in Coleraine and the surrounding area.
