Review of West Cliff Hall Care Home, Southampton, Hampshire by Rebecca Dean (Grandaughter of Resident)
Wednesday 25 April 2012
My Nan passed away today at West Cliff Hall and I felt I had to comment on the excellent care she and my family were given throughout her last few days and throughout the nine months she spent there. During her last few days, the staff attended her needs as quickly as they possibly could and made sure that she was never alone and never in pain. Her bed was changed and she was moved regularly so she was never uncomfortable or developing bed sores. Our needs as a family, were met beyond the expected level. The staff made sure we never wanted for anything and allowed us to stay overnight so that we could be with her at all times. The chef prepared special meals for us throughout the two days. After her passing the staff were extremely conscientious to ensure she left this world with the dignity she deserved. The moment she moved into the home we knew we had made the right decision. She improved tenfold on the person she was and her health got better within a short period of time. The staff cared for her and nursed her as best they could and at all times of the day and night. This care home and in particular its staff are a credit to the profession and deserve to be credited accordingly.
