"Values service user perspectives and enables empowerment and choice" The Orchard offers residential support for a number of service users and specialises in supporting individuals who have a dual diagnosis of mental health or challenging needs associated with their learning disability.
The Orchard is committed to supporting service users towards leading as fulfilled a life as possible, in an environment which, places value on individual beliefs, choices and aspirations, promotes maximised independence and community integration.
As part of The Orchard's culture in helping service users ’to succeed’, staff use the recovery star model, an outcomes-based measurement tool. By using the recovery star, staff are able to support service user’s recovery by measuring progress in areas including managing their mental health, enhancing living skills, building and maintaining social networks and building self-esteem to maximise independence.
The service looks to encourage an active lifestyle, aiming for service users to make the most of skilled staff and their expertise, but also the amenities of the Daventry community and numerous activities and outings.

Submitted by Suzi (Resident / Service User) with assistance of Staff on Wednesday 26 November 2014.
My name is Suzi and I have lived here for 2 years and 2 months. This placement is the longest I have stayed here. I get along with all residents and staff especially Grace. I find this home very relaxing, calm and very homely, one big family. With the help of The Orchard staff I will be starting to try and walk again as I'm in a wheelchair.
