Llannon Road, Upper Tumble, Llanelli SA14 6BU
Gwalia Mynydd Mawr, situated in Tumble, Carmarthenshire opened in March 2013. The state of the art residential and nursing home has been built with a dementia-friendly design. The building is divided up into five clusters to make the building seem smaller and less daunting. Each cluster has en-suite bedrooms, an assisted bathroom and lounge/diner where residents can enjoy each others company, pursue hobbies and crafts, listen to music or watch TV.
At Gwalia Mynydd Mawr, staff value each individual’s life story and take time to get to know each person, enabling carers to tailor services to each resident. Knowing what time someone likes to get up and go to bed, when they like to eat their meals and what their hobbies and interests are helps us to deliver high quality person-centred care.
The care offered includes residential, nursing, respite and rehabilitation care which are all carried out by registered nurses and well-trained care assistants who provide 24-hour professional care and support.
