My Mum spent her final weeks at this amazing care home. The manager and all the staff were very welcoming and made sure she was comfortable and well looked after. Mum was very reluctant to move to a care home but within a week she told me how nice everyone was and how comfortable her room was. They
made a great fuss for her birthday and even made a lovely birthday cake for her as well.
When she passed away, they were very kind and thoughtful, check with myself or the family friend before doing anything.
I can't thank the staff enough.

My Mum has just ended her days at Westbury Court. She had been there for over three years and it had become her home. The staff had become her extended family and friends. During her time there she was given exemplary care and her wishes were always respected. In the first couple of years when she was
less frail she was encouraged and helped to go into the dining room and lounge and mix with other residents or join in activities. Mum always liked the music sessions and joining in with the singing. However there was never any pressure if she preferred to stay in her own room. Westbury Court was well led and the carers knew their residents and their needs. Mum was very poorly for her last few months but all the carers looked after her so well and their attention to detail was excellent. The staff at Westbury Court were also very caring to me in Mum's last days and respectful to my wishes. I would have no hesitation in recommending Westbury Court.
Thank you to you all.

When I walk through the door I am always greeted with a smile and welcomed.
I see the team take good care of Mum. She always looks clean and tidy.
The team are easy to approach and very helpful! Nothing is too much for them.
It's great to feel comforted that Mum is being so well looked after.

I found the home very friendly and the manager and the staff went out of their way to make sure my friend was comfortable and felt at home there. She thoroughly enjoyed the activities that she could join in and they held a wonderful birthday party for her including a marvellous birthday cake. When
she passed away they were very understanding regarding the removal of her personal effects and didn't move anything until I arrived to collect her personal items. I would throughly recommend this care home.

Mum and dad moved into Westbury Court in March 2025 and have been well looked after. Dad moved up to the nursing floor in July and was extremely well cared for particularly during his last few says. (He passed away on 11/10/2025). Mum is now on the Dementia Floor and is being well looked after and she
really enjoys her trips out which can be seen from the photos. Its a shame that there is not a better garden that the residents can use, as often being outside is good for their well being. The food is very good with variety, although the portions are not on the generous side. Overall, I am very happy mum and (dad) are being well looked after.

The staff are lovely and very kind to Lorna taking time to talk with her about photographs on display and memories. Lorna enjoys her food but qualities are significantly less than she ate at home (A food company provided ready made hearty meals with extra veg). Larger portions could be tried? In summer
and sunny days Lorna would always wander in the garden in Keynsham and sit outside. This lack of a sunny safe garden for dementia patients is missing. But the care is wonderful.

Westbury Court provided wonderful care to my mother/grandma. Though her time there was short it was filled with kindness, dignity and warmth. The staff treated her with such respect and compassion ensuring she was cared for, comforted, and made to feel at ease every single day, while giving her the
nursing care she needed. We are deeply thankful for the love and dedication they showed during her stay.

Mum arrived in May 25 and has settled very well. Loves the homely atmosphere, staff are caring and friendly, feels safe and secure. Enjoys socialising with other residents and joining in with the varied daily activities such as quizzes, arts n crafts, cooking etc. Her lovely clean room looks out onto
garden, has en-suite bathroom and we have personalised it with her photographs and ornaments. Her new chapter in her life is now meaningful and happy, thanks to her home environment.

Westbury Court was my first choice for dad for months before moving him in. The manager ensured that moving my dad to Westbury Court was a smooth and positive experience. My dad is fully reliant on the amazing team after having a stroke but within days of arriving he was talking, laughing, relaxed and
most of all happy. All of the residents are treated like the staffs family, treated with respect and clearly made to feel comfortable. All of the staff are caring and considerate, work as a team and all join in when they can. Even the catering staff get involved with the residents when they visit the floor. If you are looking for a safe, caring, comfortable and relaxed home with plenty of activities and where care needs are met, look no further than Westbury Court.
Thank you everyone.

My nan's friend has been at Westbury Court for a while now and is still as happy here as she was the day she arrived. My nan has said multiple times that she would happily reside here. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone and the residents always look happy and well kept. There is always lots going
on if the residents want to partake in organised activities. The garden is lovely and well used in the good weather, the only thing that could be improved is the garden furniture (which is a bit uncomfortable after a while). All the staff I have met are happy, polite and so caring towards all of the residents. Thank you for enriching the lives of everyone but even more so my nan's friend.

The Manager is very supportive, she will action issues pretty much as they arise. Deputy Manager isn't visible on the floors enough. My mother doesn't even know who she is after 5 years of residing there. The home is always very clean and the Head House Keeper goes the extra mile always. The care team
work hard and are attentive. Receptionist very supportive and has a lovely professional approach. Nurses need to know more about meds they are administering. Activities needs improvement- not much use of local amenities and garden.

Although Dad's stay was short Jan-March 2025. He was very happy & comfortable in his new home. Right from the top, the senior carers, the care assistant & support team were fantastic, supportive, caring & had a great passion for what they were doing.
They even made special meals for Dad as he was
not eating.
We cannot fault the loving care given to Dad in his final months.
Thank you from the family.

I am very pleased with the way my son is being cared for. The staff are so caring and he never bothers them unless he has to. He laughs with them giving them lots of banter but they then give it back. There's one particular carer that he likes very much, and she treats him like a son. I will never stop
praising the home and I tell everyone how good they are. I'm so pleased he was placed there.

My dad was with Westbury Court for 15 months and received excellent care. All the staff treated him with dignity and respect, as well as being caring not just towards him but towards us as a family also. The room and facilities provided everything he needed and were always kept clean and well looked
after. I live several hours away and it was very reassuring to know he was in such good care and that the staff were proactively communicating any change in his wellbeing. Towards his end of life the home could not have been more supportive and understanding and I would like to thank them for everything that they did for my dad and our family. I'll miss my dad but I will also miss visiting Westbury Court.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.864)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.864) out of 10 for Westbury Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 20 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.864 for Westbury Court is calculated as follows: ( (201 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 228 Ratings = 4.864
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Westbury Court is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 63 registered maximum number of service users is 12.6, which has been reached with 20 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
