Kentford Manor is a new luxurious care facility, which is due to open in September 2011. It is situated within the rural village of Kennett, providing high quality Residential, Nursing and Memory Care, with additional convalescent and respite care for those people from the local community and surrounding areas.
Kentford Manor will offer excellent person centred care within a fantastic environment. This will be delivered by a carefully chosen, well trained care team who share a passion and commitment to enrich the lives of those who choose to live at Kentford Manor.
High on the list of features is the stunning ‘Memory Care Suite’. This suite has been specifically designed for those living with the unique needs of dementia and incorporates the latest technology to assist and encourage those with memory loss. It also features reminiscent wall murals and decorations, incorporating images of the local area to encourage recollections and help people feel at home. It even has its own little piece of history incorporating ‘Grannies Kitchen’ which has been specifically purchased from a local museum.
Other features which can be enjoyed by everyone are a ‘Beauty and Well-Being Suite’ which includes a hairdresser’s. There is also a separate aromatherapy and physiotherapy room which allows for optional visits from an aromatherapist and reflexologist, manicurist, chiropodist and a private physiotherapist.
The cafe bar has its own piano and offers a chance to relax and chat to friends, while other features incorporate an entertainment area with a large screen TV and library, as well as a butler service that will deliver a level of personalised service that exceeds expectations.
Kentford Manor has been finished to the highest standard and will offer luxurious accommodation with 97 individual rooms all including en-suite facilities. Lounges and quiet areas have been incorporated, along with beautiful dining areas, a self-service coffee shop and a café. For those wanting more individual accommodation, there is a separate building housing 12 stunning private apartments over two floors. Each floor has a huge lounge area and kitchen areas which everyone is welcome to use. Accommodation can be arranged for individuals or for couples. There are also enclosed, well appointed and decorated garden areas that offer the chance to get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
Kentford Manor will be managed by Wendy Harvey, who has over 30 years experience in nursing and care. Wendy comments, “It is a privilege to be working with Executive Care Group at the beginning of Kentford Manor’s journey. The Memory Care Suite offers an outstanding quality of living for those with dementia, whilst other features, such as the bar and entertainment area will ensure everyone is able to socialise and enjoy an active and independent life at Kentford Manor with family, friends and community involvement”.
