Christie and Co sells Belvedere Lodge Care Home in Wakefield

Acting on behalf of Blair C Nimmo and Gerard A Friar of KPMG LLP, Joint Administrators of Ascot Care Homes, Christie + Co's Leeds Office is pleased to announce the sale of Belvedere Lodge Care Home in Outwood, which is on the outskirts of Wakefield and close to both the M1 and M62 motorways.

Belvedere Lodge Care Home is an established home registered for up to 22 people in the categories of Old Age and Dementia. It offers accommodation in both single and shared rooms, some with en suite facilities.

Jonathan Wickens, Director at Christie + Co who handled the sale, commented: "This sale confirms that the care home market has remained resilient throughout what have undoubtedly been difficult economic times. There continues to be demand from both existing operators looking to expand their portfolio and first time buyers looking to enter the market. Funding remains difficult to secure but the banks are still keen to lend on the right business opportunity."

Belvedere Lodge Care Home was sold for an undisclosed sum.
