Hull care home helps people to prepare
Date of article: 08-May-13
A Sanctuary Care home in Hull is helping local elderly people, their loved ones and carers to prepare for the future by holding a free seminar about care fees and Lasting Power of Attorney.
Ashdale Lodge on Wheeler Street is inviting members of the community along to an event on Tuesday 14 May at 6pm, where legal experts from Lighthouse Financial Advice Ltd will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions about care fees and Lasting Power of Attorney documents.
The home’s manager Lyn Buxton said: “Nobody likes to think that one day they may need someone else to care for them or make decisions on their behalf, but the reality is that it is better to be well informed and prepared should that time ever come.”
Refreshments will be provided at the event, which will finish at about 7.30pm, and people will also have an opportunity to have a look around the home and meet its residents and dedicated team.
To book a place at the event please call the home, the address for which is 2 Wheeler Street, Anlaby Road, Hull, East Yorkshire, HU3 5QE, on 01482 352938 or email email@example.com.
