Horne Engineering Ltd a are designer and manufacturer of healthcare standard (THV3 Scheme approved) thermostatic mixing valves and surface mounted thermostatic shower panels. New thermostatic tap, the Optitherm, has won the top award for Best Interiors Product at the 2008 Building Better Healthcare Awards. Its novel arrangement facilities improved hand hygiene, reduced infection rates and greatly simplifies maintenance procedures. This unique design also facilitates best practice management of the water supplies and accessories enable regular high-velocity system flushing for the removal of excess biofilm and also in-situ thermal disinfection of the tap body and outlet fitting.
