Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum, needed respite while having an insurance claim repair processed. From the first contact to the last contact there has been absolute professionalism, friendly service. We could not fault the home Mills Meadow nothing was a problem, mum was cared for if she needed anything she asked and received.
3 good meals a day, drinks when she needed, her room was well organised and well equipped wet room, tv in her room, electric bed. We could not have been happier all round. Although we originally thought what a lot of money a week, but in reality well and truly worth every penny.

My dad has been a resident at this nursing home for nearly two years now, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care he receives. The entire staff - from the nurses to the kitchen and housekeeping teams - treat him with genuine kindness and respect. They take the time to get to know him personally,
which makes such a difference.

The home is always clean, welcoming, and well organised. The nurses are attentive and communicate regularly with our family about any changes or updates in his care. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he's in good hands.

Thank you to everyone at Cedrus House!

Davers Court

I just want to thank staff at Davers Court for all their wonderful support over the last few days when my 97 year old mum fell and hit her head. All the care staff on Orchard suite were so kind, sitting and holding her hand whilst waiting for the paramedics and welcoming her back and helping her to
settle in on her return late that night.
Similarly both mum and I were well supported when mum became very poorly a few days later and we were all very concerned about her. We were both helped by the kindness and care we received from staff throughout this difficult time. Since mum has been able to walk and eat again whilst remaining very confused, we have been grateful for the help and advice from the Residential lead, Deputy Manager and Manager who are great role models and lead a very good team. A big thank you to you all!

Since moving to Davers Court mum has received excellent care from all members of the staff. There is a wide range of activities including many live music events and trips out. Special national celebrations are always made more special in the home for example VE day and a beach party in the summer.
Most
importantly the staff communication with families is exemplary. We are included in conversations about care, promptly updated about changes in our mother's condition and always made welcome on the wings and joining in activities. I would recommend this home to other people.

Davers Court is an outstanding care home. My mother has advanced dementia and has been a resident since 2019. She recently had a stay in hospital and returned to the home unwell and confused. The excellent care she received from the Davers Court staff when she returned to them has turned her condition
around. She is well, happy and engaged. They pay such attention to detail and take such good care of the residents, I simply cannot thank the staff enough for everything they do.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife joined Glastonbury Court in Bury St Edmunds on 21 July this year. From the outset I have been impressed by the quality of care provided. It does not have the gloom normally associated with care homes. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, bright and airy, best of all cheerful.
The facilities are
excellent and the food, whether served at a table or, as in my wife's case, to her bedside, is very good, simple and nutritious.
Best of all are the staff. The home has its own doctor, nurses and trained care staff. All are kind and always friendly. My wife's condition means she sometimes doesn't fully understand what is going on, but they are always patient with her even if she can get aggressive. They are most of all effective, however trying the circumstances.

I went as a volunteer helper on the Felixstowe day out. The residents were all ready 9.30am & had breakfast - an amazing start by the staff. Patience needed to get 20 residents on the wheelchair lift to get in the coach. Noting was too much trouble for the staff, took their time, chatted & smiled with
residents. Fish & chips, ice cream, cups of tea and then a singer to round up the day at the sea. Perfect weather for a wonderful day. Thank you.

Asterbury Place

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
There is little doubt that Asterbury Place is now a very, good Care Home; and a lot of this (improvement), is due to the devoted leadership of Wendy,* & her staff.
I am with my dear 'Jackie' (Georgina) there, at least twice a week, for several hours at each visit; & at different times of the day, and
- sometimes early evenings.
Staff are hard working, and kind - without exception.
The canteen staff, and cleaning staff have wonderful work ethics, - nothing is too much trouble for them.
Jackie has been a resident there for nearly two years now, but I've watched with delight; the pride that has grown in recent days.*
I am proud to tell relatives and friends that my Jackie is looked after so well at Asterbury. A number of them, have seen the new 'sparkle' of the Home with their own eyes, & commented positively about it.
I want to thank all staff at Asterbury for looking after my wife for me. They could do no more, and should all receive an immediate wage rise from Care UK.

Glastonbury Court

from Nick C (Son of Resident) published on 23 September 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
In September 2024, our mum suffered a stroke, just weeks after being widowed in July. It was an incredibly difficult time for our family, and following her informal diagnosis of dementia, it became clear she could no longer live independently or care for herself. We explored several care options, many
of which seemed suitable and welcoming, but ultimately chose Glastonbury Court-and we're so glad we did.
From the very first day, Glastonbury Court felt like home. The staff are not only professional and attentive, but also genuinely warm and compassionate. The environment is calm, caring, and inclusive-qualities that have made a huge difference to both my mum and our family.
What stands out most is how consistently happy and safe my mum feels. Despite her dementia, she regularly tells me and my sister how well looked after she is, and how lucky she feels to be there. She even shares this with her grandchildren, which speaks volumes about the comfort and security she experiences daily.

My husband stayed at Mills Meadow for 2 months and was wonderfully cared for.
It is a cheerful, attractive place with a lovely garden to look out on and visit.
The staff are compassionate and engaging. It is extremely well managed and senior people are accessible and extraordinally helpful.
My husband
was eating very little and hardly left his room because of his illness o I have not rated food or activities.
