Unfortunately when my mother could no longer live alone, we had to make the difficult decision to look for a care home, we looked at a few, but Mills Meadow was always my top choice, and it was a big relief to me when she was excepted. From the moment we entered, we were amazed at the surroundings,
the staff were very kind , and luckily mum like it too. Unfortunately I live overseas, so I don't see the everyday runnings, but the staff are amazing, and I'm sure dealing with dementia residents is not easy. Mum always seems happy, when we have our weekly chats, and says the staff are more like friends. My mum's room is lovely, with a lovely patio outside, and a large bathroom.
Can't thank Mills Meadows staff enough for all they do. I'm truly grateful

The care home staff continue to look after my sister's needs to a very high standard always happy to help her with whatever she requires at the time. My sister wakes early and prefers to have her breakfast brought to her at 4 am every morning. I am grateful that the carers can help my sister in this
way and in many other ways. All the staff I meet on Windsor suite when visiting my sister are always very friendly and caring and obviously devoted to their work.
Reply from Julie Dennis, Reviews Team at Prince George HouseWe are so pleased you are happy with your sisters care Christine. Its lovely to hear how devoted you think our staff are, that is always our aim. Your sister is a pleasure to care for and we love having her on our Windsor suite.

After moving my father to Ipswich 14 years ago from London, myself and my sister, along with my mum, have done all we can to care for him, sheltered accommodation was a great stepping stone whilst we could help him manage. Not always a great relationship, it became a struggle and after numerous falls
and rehab beds, we had to take the step of a care home.
WOW, my father is like a different man, he socializes, laughs and eats well. It is now a nice visit when we see him. He has increased in weight, he actually gets involved in the events they have, which are often. I cannot believe he is the same man.
Thank you, especially on Stuart suite
Reply from Julie Dennis, Reviews Team at Prince George HouseThank you so much for your lovely review Sarah, we are so pleased to hear about the positive changes with Dad. Dad has settled so well into life at Prince George House and his cheeky sense of humour brings a smile to all our faces.

Well it didn't last! My earlier review only reflected the situation for the first 4 weeks of Respite. After that things changed dramatically and ended up with me having to take my partner (who has Alzheimers) out of the home for her own protection and terminating the contract. Following 2 attacks from
a patient with dementia she was moved to another section where everyone had physical issues not mental ones and they all remained in their beds all day. She had nobody to mix with except one guy with capacity who was allowed to take advantage of her. This was a shocking experience. If you care for your loved ones you should not bring them here.

The standard of this care home is very good. Visitors are greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile on arrival. Staff are friendly, kind, caring and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble if you have a query or concern - you're made to feel included in the care of your relative.

It's almost 2 years of my Mum living in Davers court. I feel I need to write another review to express my sincere thanks to the whole Team !
Every single one of them are wonderful and work very hard to ensure our relatives are looked after with the best possible care. The life style team create a
fantastic atmosphere where every resident is encouraged to participate in the varied, stimulating and fun activities. It's very inclusive with something for everyone and ever changing programme with old favourites to keep residents engaged, happy, stimulated and valued, It takes a special team to pull all this off ! Everyone is engaging and often going above and beyond to help our families. Their every need is catered for and we are kept fully informed. My Mum is always happy and more engaged, her dementia is the same but Mum is living her best fulfilling life. It's wonderful to see and such a relief. She even 'helps' in the office with clinical team ! Huge thanks to all involved in her care

My mum has recently become a resident and she is settling in very well. She is walking more with her walking aid than she has over the last 18 months. She has made friends and joined in several activities. The staff are very supportive and friendly. They encourage her to eat and drink which is making
her more aware of her surroundings, more independent and stimulated. We are already seeing a big improvement in her quality of life. Thanks to all the staff.

Mills Meadow Club is a lifeline for us, my husband has dementia with Lewy Body and life can be very challenging when we are together all the time. The day he goes to the club is the only time we are apart to do something different. I know my husband is well cared for there, safe at all times, entertained
fed and amused. I can also go for coffee with friends or do my own thing and not have to worry about him.

I cannot praise the staff enough for their helpful and cheerful support, day and night. I will miss this so much when I go home. I had a large clean beautifully decorated room with a view of the lovely garden. There are lots of planned activities, morning and afternoon but no pressure if you don't want
to do any. Visitors are welcome and can join for a meal. I would recommend without hesitation, I was confident coming here and my husband ended his life here in 2017 and had been very happy.

Very happy atmosphere with friendly and genuinely caring staff. My mother settled in well after a few days and is now very happy there.
Staff are very professional and take medical and safety issues seriously. The food is wholesome and good.
Lots of entertainment and activities on offer. They put
on a wonderful 102nd birthday party for my mother, which she thoroughly enjoyed. They are clearly very fond of her and take good care of her.
The only caveat is that occasionally messages for staff are not communicated across. This is usually down to their being very busy at the time.
I visited a number of other homes before choosing this one, which is in a class on its own.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Kentford ManorThank you for taking the time to leave such wonderful feedback regarding Kentford Manor. We are so pleased to read that you find the staff to be friendly, caring and professional. They hold themselves to a very high standard and this will be greatly appreciated by them as they continue their hard work. We are honoured to read of the wonderful birthday party that was organised for your mother by the Kentford Manor team and would like to extend a Happy Birthday to her at such a momentous age. We would like to sincerely apologise that you have at times found there to be a break in communication. Please be assured that the Home Manager will take this feedback on board to ensure that this addressed with the team. Wishing you all the best.
