Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
In five months of my relative being in the care home, it's been of great respect for the carers, devotion and care for the residents. The activities available for them day after day, it's quite amazing what they think up for enjoyment and helping them in what activities they may be. The food is enjoyable
as my partner and I have lunched with our relative. Security is just so important, which is a 100%. Being there with a fire drill again, 100% the quick reactions and point to be at. Our greatest respect from family to all staff with such dedication, respect and gratitude.Thank you so much.

Our friends of 35 years are both residents. We cannot speak too highly of the home. We were so impressed with the home and staff when they first came (2 years ago). Nothing has changed and we are always made to feel welcome by all the staff. It is always beautifully decorated for all special occasions,
and there is just a loving, warm and caring atmosphere. If I had to be in a home this would definitely be the one!

Cleves Place

from Helen C (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
After a very upsetting hospital stay following a fall, my mother arrived at Cleves Place understandably anxious and unsettled. The experience had been frightening for her and, sadly, her care there had fallen short of what we had hoped for.
When I came to see her on her first day at Cleves Place, the
difference was immediate and remarkable. She was clean, comfortable, and - for the first time in weeks - calm. That alone meant more to us than I can properly express.
All of the staff made her feel safe and treated her with dignity from the moment she arrived. After everything she had been through, seeing her settled and cared for so thoughtfully was an enormous relief to our family.
We are truly grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and reassurance Cleves Place has provided at a time when we needed it most.

Harbour Manor

from Lynda H (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 26 February 2026
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mother in law was a resident at Harbour Manor for 9 months before she died. She was welcomed and treated as an individual and became very fond of her 'regulars', who all had time to chat with her. She had become lonely and isolated at home and wanted 'looking after' in her 97th year. Her hearing loss
made it tricky for her at times, but staff took time with her, and she thoroughly enjoyed her weekly hairdo and social activities. We enjoyed visiting and were always informed if anything happened.

I cannot praise the staff at Davers Court highly enough. They cared for my mother from September 2025, during what turned out to be the last few months of her life. They were never less than accommodating and attentive, going above and beyond to do their best to make mum feel at home and looked after.
Not only that, but they took time to look after me too, and went out of their way to make sure I was coping too.

Cedrus House

from Lisa W (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum was diagnosed in hospital with cancer and given 3 months. She couldn't go home. We looked at Cedrus House and straight away as soon as we walked through the door felt an "at home" feeling. Mums room was large and airy and modern. We moved some of her things in with her to make her feel even
more at home.
I have to really give the biggest shout out to the carers and nurses. I honesty felt that mum wouldn't be cared for like we would want her to be. Mainly to be loved. But, honestly, I couldn't have been more wrong. All the carers really loved and cared for my mum like their own family and this gave us soooo much comfort when we couldn't go every single day. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. Her care was truly wonderful. We were welcomed to Cedrus House at any time day or night. They would cook a meal for us if we stayed. This care home should have an OUTSTANDING certificate, because that's exactly what mum had. We cannot thank you enough.
Reply from Julie Dennis, Reviews Team at Cedrus HouseThank you so much for your amazing comments and feedback Lisa, we really do appreciate you taking the time to complete the review. It was our pleasure to care for Mum during her final months and we are so pleased you found the our care wonderful.

We are so grateful that we got our mum into this home. She certainly had a love, hate relationship with being here but I believe that was the dementia. We knew she was safe and we couldn't thank everyone enough for all that they did for her. The garden space was certainly a wonderful sanctuary for mum
and myself when I visited. Her end days were hard but Mills Meadow did everything possible to keep her safe and out of pain.

My wife Dotty enjoyed her stay in Glastonbury. We experience other care homes where friends went and we visited and this is head and shoulders better than any others we have seen. I take Dad, who has mixed dementia, to the Day Centre every Friday and he really enjoys it. He has attended four other social clubs and after two or three visits refused to go any more but not so with the Cedrus Centre - he loves his day there. Leanna, the Centre Manager, knows exactly how to engage
each Club Member arranging activities they enjoy and can participate in.
The Centre is secure, spotlessly clean ( I checked the bathroom!), light and airy with lovely comfy chairs in the lounge area and separate dining room. Easy parking right outside and all on one level inside.
Meals and refreshments are good and a wide range of activities arranged with outside people ( entertainment) often brought in. The staff are delightful and so kind and caring. It's good value for money and gives Dad the social.contact and day out he needs. Highly, highly recommend. I challenge you to fund a better Day Care Centre!

Kentford Manor

from G S (Son of Resident) published on 11 February 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Dad has been at Kentford for 5 months now.
He had previously been in hospital for a month after a fall, and initially on arriving at Kentford, he just stayed in his room.
All of the staff respected his wishes, but at the same time, gently encouraged him to become more involved in the activities.
As
a result, Dad now eats his lunch most days in the dining room, participates in some of the in-house activities, and has been on a number of the minibus bus trips.
In my experience, the carers and nursing staff dealing with Dad are professional, respectful, and cheerful, which creates a generally relaxed atmosphere.
Overall, Kentford Manor is proving to be an excellent choice for my father.
