After a series of falls in her own flat, I managed to get a place for my mum in Park View Care Centre in October 2024. Right from the beginning, I felt mum was in a much safer environment. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very welcoming. There are many activities for the residents to join in
with, should they wish to. The management and nursing staff are first class, although some of the night staffing provided by agency staff could be better. I would highly recommend Park View Care Centre.
Reply from Darren Humby, General Manager at Park View Care CentreThank you for your lovely review. It has been a real privilege to care for your mum. As a team we feel very proud that you would recommend us, it is something we do not take for granted.

My mother was referred to Maidstone Care Centre from the general hospital. When we had to choose a permanent home, mum decided she would like to stay in Maidstone Care Centre. The staff are very friendly, patient and caring. The home has a quiet, relaxed and respectful atmosphere. The nursing care was
high quality, and the nurses would consistently liaise with mums doctor, so we never felt she was neglected. The nurses are also very knowledgeable themselves.

I am generally satisfied with the care my mother receives. She often says that when she uses the emergency call button, particularly at night, no one comes to her aid. I sometimes feel that mum's hair and nails are dirty, and her table and the floor need cleaning. On the positive side, I feel that the
staff are caring and do their best as they are often short of time. Most of them have a happy and upbeat nature, which helps to keep mum happy.
Reply from Gurpreet Vara, General Manager at Withens Nursing HomeThank you for your honest and thoughtful feedback. We're pleased to hear that you find the team caring and supportive, and that their positive approach helps your mother feel happy. We also appreciate you raising your concerns, and these will be shared with the relevant team as we continually strive to improve the experience and care provided for all residents. If you would like to pop in and speak with myself, I'd be happy to discuss your feedback further.

I cannot praise the care centre enough. The staff were professional, very caring and always on hand to offer help and advice. They treated my uncle with dignity at all times. Addressed him by name and always stopped to talk to him and share a joke. They phoned me and kept me informed of any changes
to his needs/care and told me how they addressed it. I knew when I left the care home my uncle was safe and happy. Everyone from housekeeper to senior staff greeted me. Well done to all and thank you.

On entering Park View, I'm greeted with a lovely smiling receptionist. Always a good morning/afternoon. The care staff are very friendly, even when short-staffed at weekends. The manager is always available to listen to the very occasional concern about Christine. Neil the maintenance man is extremely
helpful. It's a warm friendly place, I'm relieved to find Park View are caring for Christine very well.

My father was admitted on the 2nd Feb 2026. We always promised him we would never put him in a home but as soon as we saw the Park View Care Centre and met the staff we immediately knew it was the right thing to do to place him with you. Sadly he was only with you for just over 2 weeks until he passed
away but the love, care and respect you showed him was amazing. We can not thank you enough and anyone in the same position as us with a relative's nursing care should have no reservations in putting them into your care.

I am a friend of a resident and assist his wife in visits to the home. I have found the staff at all levels to be very helpful at all times, they are all very approachable at all times. informed always.

Kellie the receptionist made myself and daughter feel very welcome when we spontaneously visited the place. Our mum was being discharged from hospital. She had 2 strokes in 8 months. Our wish was we hope she goes to a nice, clean, caring home. Gurpreet the manager is excellent, very efficient in answering
all our questions. The team and nursing staff are very caring and helpful - highly recommend, 5 stars!

Sadly, my mum passed away on the 30th January 2026. For the 6 and a half years she was a resident at the Withens she was treated with the best of care, dignity and love from the staff at all times up until the end of anyone who is thinking of putting a loved one in care I would highy recommend the Withens
we could not have wished for our mum, nan and great nan to have been anywhere better.

My wife was admitted for respite care and we were really struggling on how to cope with everything and leaving her in a new environment and not knowing anyone. I can honestly say that all the staff have been amazing and so caring towards my wife and helped her settle in really well. The manager has
been excellent at keeping us informed and helping us on such a difficult journey. He is always present on the unit and knows his residents really well. The activity staff are brilliant, organising games, music and crafts. Everyone from the catering staff, housekeeping, carers, admin team, maintenance men, and nurses are always cheerful and helpful. A special mention to the lady on reception who is always brilliant and cheerful.

After experiencing a couple of months, first in one hospital, then transferred to another hospital my sister was very confused and distressed. As I was. Your staff were very patient with both of us and slowly calmed the situation down. She has now settled in and is calmer (so am I). It is reassuring
to know she is now in the best place.
