I find Woodbridge Lodge a very good care home. The conservatory can be very hot for the residents, which makes the residents sleep a lot. Dementia residents can not join in the activities much. But the 2 activities staff do an excellent job there. Rooms could be used better on the ground floor. The
meals and cakes they do are very good.

I am very happy with the kind, attentive care my mother continues to receive from all the staff since moving to Hadleigh Nursing Home over two years ago. A very nice home with a lovely garden located in peaceful surroundings in the Suffolk countryside. Excellent nursing and care facilities and a very
hard working activities team ensure that all the residents are well looked after, whatever their needs.

Mum went to Hadleigh Hall in November 2024 after an admission to hospital and was unable to go back home. From the time of her arriving at the home, Mum has had excellent care from all the staff and management. Tracy (Now manager)has supported me when I have had wobbles re Mums frail condition , and
to me it spells volumes that we didn't expect Mum to be there long and she is still enjoying life as much as she can eighteen months on. If we have concerned we can speak to the staff and they do their best to sort it out. I love visiting Mum and both myself and brother always feel welcome when we are there.

Since my father has become a resident, he has been cared for by empathetic and professional staff. I have witnessed them making him feel valued as a human and not just some old man in his final stages of life. As a dementia sufferer, he can be unpredictable. The staff are always patient with him. Reception
staff are always welcoming and attentive.
Reply from Sarah Blackburn, Home Manager at Kirkley Manor Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. It means a great deal to us to know that your father feels valued, cared for, and respected by our team.

Supporting residents with dignity, compassion, and patience is at the heart of what we do, and your comments are truly appreciated by all of our staff. We are especially pleased to hear that both our care and reception teams have helped create a welcoming and supportive environment for you and your father.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us.

It is difficult to overstate how incredibly impressive was the care and support given to my wife during her three week respite care stay. The staff from the manager downwards were beyond amazing. It was not just the quality of the care that was provided but the clear affection everyone displayed to
my wife. My wife has multiple medical issues and the nursing support she received was superb.

Professional, friendly and have the knowledge and resources to keep residents engaged and safe.
My dad could be difficult at times due to his dementia and they had the training and the compassion to keep everyone safe. Dad was well looked after during difficult times, the care was also directed
to his family. Sadly my dad's illness took him too quickly but, at all times his dignity was upheld.
So many names I could mention that went above and beyond, the manager Bebe and Debbie the deputy manager always had an open door policy, any worries, concerns or upsets were discussed and promises kept.
I have told them many times how thankful I am for their care and honesty towards my dad and us as a family, I can only hope that if a family are considering Allonsfield for their loved one, that this review will help them decide.
Thank you Allonsfield for making the last few months of my dad's life a safe one, and for allowing me to remain his daughter and not his carer.
Reply from Bishnu Lamichhane, Home Manager at Allonsfield House Nursing HomeThank you for sharing such a heartfelt and thoughtful message.Your recognition of the staff, and in particular the leadership team, will mean a great deal to them. Feedback like this not only acknowledges the dedication of individual carers but also reflects the importance of a team approach in providing safe, person-centred care.
We are sorry for your loss. It is evident that your dad's comfort, dignity, and wellbeing were always prioritised, and that you were able to focus on being his daughter during his final months is very meaningful.

Allonsfield House Nursing Home

from Huw G (Friend of Resident) published on 9 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Living some considerable distance from Allonsfield House, I initially had to rely upon telephone contact to speak to an old friend with dementia who was resident at the home. I was always spoken to politely by members of the staff who connected me with my friend and we were able to have a conversation.
I subsequently visited the home on a number of occasions and found the staff friendly , caring towards the residents and the home was clean and appeared well maintained. I managed to send birthday and Xmas gifts to my friend and was assisted with this by Ben and Victoria who were most helpful and pleasant to deal with.
Reply from Bishnu lamichhane, Home Manager at Allonsfield House Nursing HomeDear Huw,
Thank you for taking the time to share your kind feedback about Allonsfield House. We are pleased to hear that you were able to stay in touch with your friend and that our team supported you with telephone calls and visits.

It is lovely to know that you found the home clean, welcoming, and that our staff were friendly and caring. Ben and Victoria will be especially pleased to hear your kind comments about the help they provided.

Your feedback means a great deal to our team. Thank you again for your thoughtful review.

Kind regards,

Kirkley Manor Nursing Home

TOTALLY RECOMMEND KIRKLEY MANOR ! - As a family we recognised that my Father was in need of some additional care, immediately as respite, but potential leading to full time residential care. Having never had to deal with this we were rather lost as to the process but having read online reviews and CQC
ratings websites we contacted Kirkley Manor. From the very start PROFFESIONALISM shone through, from the original enquiry with Chloe, to the show round with Troy, they took care of us with the deepest of respect. Lavinia came to my Fathers house to do the initial assessment and a few days later we were able to take my Father. Initially aprehensive of course, EVERYONE he came into contact at Kirkley was amazing, compassionate and caring. Sarah the Manager, Donna the 'drug lady!', Tracey the Carer, but unfair to name them indvidually as this is a real TEAM EFFORT. My father really enjoyed the quality of food, and he said 'if this is where I need to be, then I give it the thumbs up!.
Reply from Sarah Blackburn, Home Manager at Kirkley Manor Nursing HomeThank you so much for your incredibly kind and heartfelt words. It truly means a great deal to the entire team at Kirkley Manor to receive such positive feedback.

We understand how overwhelming it can feel when making decisions about care for a loved one, especially when navigating the process for the first time. We are so pleased that from your initial enquiry through to your father's stay with us, you felt supported, respected, and guided every step of the way.

Your recognition of our team members is greatly appreciated. Chloe, Troy, Lavinia, Sarah, Donna, Tracey, and the whole Kirkley Manor team are dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centred care, and your comments affirm the commitment they show every day.

It brings us particular joy to hear that your father enjoyed the quality of the food and that he felt comfortable and positive about being with us - his "thumbs up" means the world.

Thank you again for your recommendation and for placing your trust in us.
