My husband has been a resident for six months now during which time his dementia symptoms became very challenging to deal with but the staff worked with him very patiently and carefully. He has settled down extremely well and has a good rapport with them . I find my visits to him now very rewarding

This home provides outstanding care for its residents and their relatives. The staff are always willing and radiate love and compassion. The care is exemplary, and the nursing home has an aura of calmness and kindness. I consider myself extremely fortunate in finding such a wonderful home for my elderly
mother, who had alzheimers disease. The home is situated in a very tranquil setting.

I was so impressed by the love and care my late mum was given in her short time spent at Depperhaugh. All the staff were so caring and hardworking, really friendly and they did everything they could to make sure mum was looked after in the best way possible. I would definitely recommend this home. The
staff also showed so much care to our family as well

I have been visiting my elderly friend monthly since she came to Spring Lodge a year ago, unwell and unable to live independently. She has been made so welcome and staff clearly work hard to ensure that she is well looked after and her needs are being met. With her being a very shy person, it has been
wonderful to see how, with outings and various activities, she has responded so happily and positively. The environment has much to offer every individual along with the happy atmosphere that the staff create. I also appreciate the excellent communication offered by the Hospitality Manager with the opportunity to ask any questions or give feedback.

My wife has been at The Depperhaugh for four years, and the level of care and support throughout that tiime has been consistently very high. I have visited at different times during the day, and during the day she is always dressed, never in nightclothes. Her condition means that she can be very inconsistent
in her needs, and this is always respected. Her room is always clean and tidy, and bed linen is changed as required, sometimes frequently. The level of medical care is high despite her having a rare condition which presents nursing and medication challenges, and I am always consulted on decisions. A filling and varied diet is avaialable, including soft food, and if my wife decides not to eat, food is kept warm for her later.
There are now a wide range of activities available att the Depperhaugh, with residents encouraged to take part. The walled garden is being developed for the benefit of residents, and the recently installed sensory garden is much appreciate

No one wants to go into a care home and no family is wanting this either - however, couldn't have asked for better care, compassion and genuine affection given to my mum during the 2 years she was with Lilac Lodge. Knowing she was safe, had stimulation and trips out when she wanted to was so important.
With at times complete health needs, the staff were always there, kind and professional. There is a real and genuine feeling of extended family - from the management, to house-keeping and kitchen, and nursing - all were valued and brilliant with mum an welcoming to families.

My Dad has been here for the last two years. He has been looked after with grace and dignity every day. Some days are not as good as others, but the staff know what he needs every time.
The food is hotel standard and there is always a choice of what to eat. They have a great choice of activities
which are focused on the person, keeping their minds involved and active.
The staff are ways helpful and care for Dad even when he has an off day they greet him with a smile. He has been so fortunate to be able to be there

I visit my friend, a resident, fortnightly. The care I have seen given to my friend is exemplary. The staff are patient, kind and helpful, especially helping to get my friend ready for a wheelchair 'walk' in the grounds. The activities are interesting and fun, the food provided looks nutritious and
catered for the individual where needed. I would recommend the Depperhaugh to anyone needing a high level of nursing care. I have visited many care homes through my profession and this home is one of the best.

We have visited the Nursing Home for 2+ years and have always been welcomed by all members of staff, Each one knows the resident we have come to visit, and know her location on the day of visiting. A report on how our friend is on our day of visiting is a usual procedure, and we are filled in with what
has been happening prior to our visit. It is evident the staff work with their residents, and do not put pressure on for them to do what they do not wish to do. The room our friend is in is well presented, and there are as many personal items around as she wishes to have. The varied programme of activities for residents to partake in is pleasing, as sometimes our friend will join in, but sometimes not! The standard of presentation relating to the decor is good, everything is clean and well presented. The grounds around the home are well cared for, and provide a welcome part of the Home for residents to be taken round. The setting is tranquil and stimulating.

Pleasantly located, this care home is a mix of old and new building. The gardens are well maintained and well used (when weather permits). There is a good mix of day rooms where residents are able to enjoy each others company or have quiet time as preferred. Food and drink are good and varied. Staff
are always pleasant and make themselves available for family queries and concerns which is a reassuring comfort.

Myself and my wife came to Allonsfield approximately two years ago and staff here have been enormous support to us. My wife used to love dancing, which she enjoyed with staff member who then was a nurse now became a manager who likes to ensure that resident are treat it with dignity and respect. I have
got a couple of staff. I'm very fond of and I think they only not look after us as a resident they think of us as a family member which is very empathetic.

I approached Spring Lodge back in the Spring of 2024 about them looking after me following a hip replacement. The home manager was incredibly supportive and the hospitality manager stayed in touch with me all through the long wait for an op date. When I did finally arrive at Spring Lodge in February
2025 everyone was so brillant at welcoming me and looking after me. I was only at Spring Lodge for 5 days but the kindness, care and commitment shown by all the staf was very clear and greatly appreciated. Thank you Spring Lodge.
