I honestly cannot praise Woodbridge Lodge too highly. From the moment mum arrived the staff have been absolutely wonderful. They are caring, compassionate and it feels like you have entered your loved one into a family environment.
Mum is really settled and happy and no longer anxious and can just relax and enjoy the numerous activities on offer which she is doing wholeheartedly. She is already calling it her new home.
We are always made to feel welcome and involved.
You cannot believe you are in the centre of Woodbridge as the gardens are delightful and it feels like you are in the countryside and residents can take full advantage of the them.
We no longer have to worry whether Mum is eating or getting enough to drink as all of this is provided and monitored and all very high-quality.

We have felt very involved from the beginning and it seems that nothing is too much trouble.

Reply from Sinead Lambert, Home Manager at Woodbridge Lodge Care Home

Thank you for your feedback. It means so much to hear that mum is enjoying her new home and we are happy that you feel welcomed, involved and reassured in the care we provide. Your kind words mean a great deal to us and will be shared with the whole team.

My brother and I took Mum on 9th March to Allonsfield. We have been extremly pleased with the care Mum has and is receving, we would have no complaints. All staff are very friendly and helpful; Mum has settled into Allonsfield really well, in fact better than we had expected, due to Dementia issues.

Reply from Bishnu lamichhane, Home Manager at Allonsfield House Nursing Home

My mum had to go into a care home due to a progressive illness . We looked at various care homes but Kirkley Manor had a very personal feeling. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. All very caring which put my mind at rest. The managers are fantastic, approachable, knowledgeable and very willing to help in any way.

The nurses keep me well informed on the medical side of things and have built up a great rapport with mum. The carers are amazing they treat mum with dignity and respect. They support her emotionally and remain positive throughout. They are also there for family members when things become emotional they offer words of kindness and an ear to listen. Overall an amazing well run home.

I was very worried and upset that I had to put my husband in a care home because I couldn't care for him at home but I didn't have any worries because I couldn't ask for a more amazing place. The staff are amazing, very kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen staff will cook anything for him. The home is very clean but the rooms could do with some modernisation. The home seems to be a happy place and that entirely down to the staff.

Review of Hadleigh Nursing Home from Jane P (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 2 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My father-in-law has been a resident here since February. It was a difficult decision to move him to a home as he was still very mobile but his dementia was deteriorating. After visiting Hadleigh Nursing Home for the first time, it was evident immediately how warm & friendly Hadleigh was & how well staff were interacting with residents. My father-in-law is very happy here. There is always a varied programme of activities happening & the staff go out of their way to ensure those residents who may not be very mobile are included wherever possible. The grounds are lovely with a secure garden at the rear. The staff do their very best to get residents outside in the garden if it is possible. There are separate lounges on each floor away from the main lounge, conservatory & dining room. All staff take a genuine interest in residents, taking the time to get to know them their hobbies, interests & memories. The food always looks lovely & the menu changes regularly.

Review of Yaxley House Care Home from Kevin S (Son of Resident) published on 29 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Mother has been staying at Yaxley House for respite care. It is a very welcoming and friendly environment. The staff have been first rate and made my Mother feel at home. She has been taking part in all of the activities and her mobility and general health improved during her stay. Everywhere is clean and well looked after, you can tell all the staff take pride in their roles. She has made friends and really enjoyed the communal meal times in the dining room. I would particularly like to thank the management team, who have been supportive and helped guide me through the whole process and the activities manager who was a great friend to my Mother. They all came to say goodbye when she left and gave my Mother a leaving present. Highly recommend!

I find Woodbridge Lodge a very good care home. The conservatory can be very hot for the residents, which makes the residents sleep a lot. Dementia residents can not join in the activities much. But the 2 activities staff do an excellent job there. Rooms could be used better on the ground floor. The meals and cakes they do are very good.

Mum went to Hadleigh Hall in November 2024 after an admission to hospital and was unable to go back home. From the time of her arriving at the home, Mum has had excellent care from all the staff and management. Tracy (Now manager)has supported me when I have had wobbles re Mums frail condition , and to me it spells volumes that we didn't expect Mum to be there long and she is still enjoying life as much as she can eighteen months on. If we have concerned we can speak to the staff and they do their best to sort it out. I love visiting Mum and both myself and brother always feel welcome when we are there.

Since my father has become a resident, he has been cared for by empathetic and professional staff. I have witnessed them making him feel valued as a human and not just some old man in his final stages of life. As a dementia sufferer, he can be unpredictable. The staff are always patient with him. Reception staff are always welcoming and attentive.

It is difficult to overstate how incredibly impressive was the care and support given to my wife during her three week respite care stay. The staff from the manager downwards were beyond amazing. It was not just the quality of the care that was provided but the clear affection everyone displayed to my wife. My wife has multiple medical issues and the nursing support she received was superb.
