Review of St Mary's Care Home from Jane S (Daughter of Resident) published on 21 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
An outing was arranged to Caister Lifeboat Station and I joined my family as they got off the minibus. They were cheerfully and safely helped off the bus. We were welcomed at the cafe and assistance was given in helping to use their lift. Drinks and treats were soon provided and we all had the chance to view the lifeboat from above. We all then headed out towards the beach and could see the sea. This prompted lots of memories.
Both Lauren and Jane were on hand to help, chat, take photos, encourage and engage the residents and make sure everyone was warm enough, blankets were taken. All enjoyed it and were safe and supported.
We had a lovely time and it also prompted several conversations and memories about times gone by.
Thank you St Mary's for organising the trips which really cheer the residents and their families.

This all goes towards the real care and love that is given to residents and their families

Review of Woodbridge Lodge Care Home from S M (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I honestly cannot praise Woodbridge Lodge too highly. From the moment mum arrived the staff have been absolutely wonderful. They are caring, compassionate and it feels like you have entered your loved one into a family environment.
Mum is really settled and happy and no longer anxious and can just relax and enjoy the numerous activities on offer which she is doing wholeheartedly. She is already calling it her new home.
We are always made to feel welcome and involved.
You cannot believe you are in the centre of Woodbridge as the gardens are delightful and it feels like you are in the countryside and residents can take full advantage of the them.
We no longer have to worry whether Mum is eating or getting enough to drink as all of this is provided and monitored and all very high-quality.

We have felt very involved from the beginning and it seems that nothing is too much trouble.

Reply from Sinead Lambert, Home Manager at Woodbridge Lodge Care Home

My brother and I took Mum on 9th March to Allonsfield. We have been extremly pleased with the care Mum has and is receving, we would have no complaints. Review of Kirkley Manor Nursing Home from S B (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum had to go into a care home due to a progressive illness . We looked at various care homes but Kirkley Manor had a very personal feeling. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. All very caring which put my mind at rest. The managers are fantastic, approachable, knowledgeable and very willing to help in any way.

The nurses keep me well informed on the medical side of things and have built up a great rapport with mum. The carers are amazing they treat mum with dignity and respect. They support her emotionally and remain positive throughout. They are also there for family members when things become emotional they offer words of kindness and an ear to listen. Overall an amazing well run home.

Review of Oaklands Care Home from G T (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
All the staff at Oaklands are friendly and helpful. The staff are well briefed on the medical and care needs of my mum.

There are a wide range of activities that residents can choose to take part in, and frequent events for the families to enjoy and mix with the families of other residents. The food is a very good standard of nutritious with healthy options, fresh fruit etc. readily available. Recently they made extra efforts to make sure her birthday felt special.

Review of Gower Gardens Nursing Home from Terry G (Husband of Resident) published on 12 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
My wife was in Gower Garden for three week respite care. The buildings, gardens and outlook are pleasant. There is a good choice of general or quiet lounges. Shade in the garden was particularly welcome during the heatwave although accessible only to the self mobile or with visitors. The staff are of good quality and knew their jobs. They were friendly and relaxed. My wife enjoyed the food and there was choice. My wife has particular difficulties but the staff coped well although I didn't see much of activities suited to her needs. Suggestion: Mini Spa Break

Jean is unable to access bath/shower at home and I thought that a mini-spa session might be worth your consideration. Non-residents could attend for, perhaps, 10am until 4pm. They could be provided with lunch and afternoon tea, a bath or shower, a sleep in a quiet lounge and maybe, an activity. This could be pleasant for those taking part and a breath for carers. Is there a business opportunity here?

Review of Swaffham House from Ann T (Friend of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My friend had to vacate the home after 2and half years ,after it was taken over .she was 100 and had dementia but the reason given was they could not meet her needs any more , the staff when they were allowed were very kind to her ,but management on a whole were never access able, short of caring staff, they always looked tired , but did there best I just hope this new company address the issues raised, and they treat the residents with as much care as they have the new furnishings ..it was such a horrendous day moving my friend from familiar surroundings and people she recognized , every day I moaned about something ,I'm 78 and on most visits I ended up taking her to the loo ,because no one about xx rant over

My Mother was evicted at the age of 100 years old due to the fact we complained to the CQC about regular falls with her having regular bruises on her face and all over her body also fractured back and stitches in her head.
There is not enough staff to look after the people in there was no activities for the people some good staff there but not many.

My Mother has now been moved to another home, hopefully she will getter better care there.

Review of St George's Nursing Home from Adrian D (Husband of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My wife has been a resident at St George's since December 2024. It is a truly amazing family of which we have become very fond. The values of care and professionalism are deep-rooted. We know the night team also. Occasionally having to return A.m. at 8:15 pm, we are met by "open arms". I want to touch on the medication system, the significance of which we were unfamiliar with when we came here: "Extremely impressive". The nursing team are totally focused on delivering the specified medication precisely to the prescription and maintaining accurate records. And further, they are instantly available to advise about unexpected symptoms

I was very worried and upset that I had to put my husband in a care home because I couldn't care for him at home but I didn't have any worries because I couldn't ask for a more amazing place. The staff are amazing, very kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen staff will cook anything for him. The home is very clean but the rooms could do with some modernisation. The home seems to be a happy place and that entirely down to the staff.
