My mother has dementia. I never expected to find a home which would fulfill my wishes but Wulfrun Rose has exceeded all expectations. The staff are kind and very approachable; they take care of the relatives as well as the residents. My mother is content and acknowledges that she is in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.

Review of Willow Rose Care Home from J B (Niece of Resident) published on 28 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My experience of Willow Rose Care Home is that it is welcoming and homely. The Home is kept beautifully clean and tidy. The staff, including admin staff, cleaners, laundry, chefs, carers, nursing staff and activity organisers all work very hard to make this happen. A very big THANK YOU to all of them!
My Aunt has lived in the Hatherton Suite for the last 6 months and is extremely happy and settled. She is positively thriving and enjoying life again!
She enjoys the variety of food provided and joins in with all the regular activities e.g. knitting club, cooking, exercise sessions. She also looks forward to the music events and occasional trips out arranged for the residents.
The carers are kind and compassionate and have a lovely relationship with the residents, making them feel safe and secure, especially when challenges arise. Family members are welcomed at any time and encouraged to attend and join in any of the events arranged.

In short, my Aunt is now 'Living Her Best Life'!!

Review of Wulfrun Rose Nursing Home from J T (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
After 23 months I feel I can give a very balanced review of Wulfrun Rose Nursing Home. This home has given my Mum her life back. We joke together that she is so lucky to be living in a 5 star home now.
Importantly, the individualised nursing care she receives to maintain her standard of living is given by an excellent team. Medical support is also available importantly in the home, helping to keep Mum healthy.
Mum has her own room 'new home' with her trinkets. She has an ensuite for her hygiene and privacy to be maintained. The rooms themselves are kept clean, along with an in-house laundry service which includes her clothes.
The daily activities provided are given whilst recognising Mums general condition. The food is nutritious and varied with drinks and snacks as required.

Mum is happy to share her day with the other residents she has made friends with by chatting, watching TV and singing which she loves to do. The staff encourage these pastimes and add many more including hairdressing.

Reply from Louise Kearns, Manager at Wulfrun Rose Nursing Home

This is the first time I have experienced admiting a family member in a nursing home. My mother has been at Priestley Rose nursing home for nearly 2 month and I have to say it is absolutely fantastic. The care is first class and all the staff have a smile, and the home is lovely and clean. It is such a relief to know she is getting fabulous care. Since she has been at Priestly Rose I personally think she has blossomed more. Thank you so much Barry xx (son)

Review of Meadow Rose Nursing Home from Sarah C (Wife of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My husband came to Meadow Rose 4 months ago after a bad experience in a previous home and a 3 month hospital stay. It was a very difficult time for both of us. I have to say from the very first visit I felt this was the right place. The staff are wonderful - patient, kind and professional. He even went out on a day trip which is something I never believed would be possible. The activity team looked after him so well and he had a wonderful time. I'm finally able to relax knowing he is being well cared for. I cannot recommend this Home highly enough.

Review of Meadow Rose Nursing Home from Eve R (Regular Volunteer) published on 15 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I became a volunteer visitor after having such a good experience originally visiting a resident. There is always a warm welcome on entry because of someone on reception which sets the tone. All staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, Residents are treated with dignity and respect and are given to believe nothing is too much trouble. When speaking to residents They speak very fondly and highly of The carers. Rooms are kept nicely and homely and always clean. Corridors/passages are kept empty to allow for easy passage along them, clean and fresh looking. The manager is friendly and professional and respected, is obviously doing a really good job

Review of Millfield Rose from Colleen C (Wife of Resident) published on 10 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My husband was admitted to Millfield Rose Care Home in June 26
After looking around several Care Homes in the area there simply was no comparison with Millfield Rose Brownhills.
I wanted the best for my husband and I got it!
It is beautifully modern, clean and welcoming with a hair dressing salon, cinema, craft room and activity Co-ordinator.
All the staff are trained to a high standard and are so helpful in delivering a Service, which is rarely experienced these days,
As a former Manager of Services for the Elderly, my expectations were high but I am pleased to say all aspects of care
given promoted Dignity, Individuality,Respect, Empathic and Sensitive attention to all residents.
Nothing is too much trouble in making relatives feel welcome as an integral part of the caring team and support for the resident.
Congratulations to the chef for a healthy and varied Menu tailored to individual needs.

Millfield Rose Care Home has raised the standards of Care to that of Excellence!

My dad was only here for a short while but from my first step through the door I felt welcomed and reassured. The staff have been incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely caring, always treating everyone with dignity and respect. It's obvious that they don't just see it as a job-they really take the time to get to know each resident and make them feel valued.

The home is like a five star hotel, always clean, comfortable, and it has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Knowing my Dad was safe, and well cared for gave me real peace of mind. I am so grateful for everything the team did for Dad often going above and beyond to make a difference. Thank you all for your compassion, dedication, and the wonderful care you provided.

We both attended the monthly Friday coffee morning and as always enjoyed ourselves very much. The event is free with refreshments provided and as always the entertainment was inclusive and enjoyed by us all as we listened to and joined in with a great range of favourite songs.
