My mum was a resident at Corbrook Park for several months. I felt secure in the knowledge that she was safe and being well cared for. All of the staff were friendly, caring and supportive to both mum and myself. Any queries we had were immediately answered, or dealt with as was necessary. I would highly
recommend Corbrook Park to anyone with a loved one needing respite or residential care.

I would give 0 stars but I can't. Wellington court. My brother was at Morris care home 15 minutes before deciding he wasn't stopping, for someone who only has a few weeks to live, you would think, he would at least be able to use the toilet, but as he's in a wheelchair he couldn't even get the wheelchair
in to the wc. the rooms are like a prison cell, to small to turn wheelchair round.
In the space of 2 hours I had seen so many issues with the lack of respect & care of patients, anyone leaving a loved one the area of Wellington court, think twice. This isn't care, it's neglect. Morris care Wellington stay away.

It was decided between Mum and ourselves that she could no longer look after herself at home and needed to move somewhere where she could be looked after. It fell to us to find somewhere. We looked at several homes and Corbrook came out top. Our initial impressions were very good and they have not
changed during the first month.
Mums room is reasonably large with room for her to move around so trying to keep her mobility. If I am honest nothing has been too much trouble and they have gone out of their way to make her feel at home. All the staff are helpful and caring spending a lot of time with the residents. A care plan was created at the start and has been adjusted as the staff got to know her better. There have been a few teething issues but we spoke to the support staff and they were addressed very quickly.
Mum is still settling in but we are very content with the care that she is receiving and the way in which she is being treated.

Reply from Sophie Kay, General Manager at Corbrook Park Nursing Home

I can wholly recommend Corbrooke Car Home. From the first visit by the manager, who was so professional but caring and able to put our minds at rest, through to today, we have received the best care. The Manager and her staff have been so supportive in all aspects of care, informing us as family, along
the way and listening to our thoughts and wishes. The whole team get to know the families as well as residents so that you feel very confident in the care provided. There is always a happy atmosphere whenever you visit THANK YOU ALL.

Mum and Dad lived together in Corbrook Park Nursing Home for over two years.
They spent their last years together being cared for superbly by the wonderful team at the home.
The staff worked hard to get Mum and Dad rooms next to each other so that they could be as close as possible.
Due to their
respective conditions, Mum and Dad needed a lot of round-the-clock care, which was always on hand from the amazing team. This gave the family much peace of mind that our parents were being well cared for.
After Dad had passed, Mum was cared for with great compassion by the care staff and nurses.
I couldn't rate Corbrook highly enough and it is a home where they go the extra mile to care for their residents, no matter who they are.

Isle Court in Shrewsbury provides exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment. My mum is very well cared for, and even though she prefers her own company, the staff gently encourage her to participate in activities, fostering a sense of inclusion. The food is excellent, and I've been consistently
impressed with the high standards of personal hygiene assistance my mum receives. The home and its facilities are impeccably clean. The staff are incredibly friendly, always greeting me and my family with a smile and making us feel welcome. Their dedication and genuine care are evident in everything they do. Isle Court is a place where residents are treated with dignity and respect, and I'm truly grateful for the peace of mind they provide.

Over the last few months my mum and our families lives have been turn upside down due to her illness, making the decision to place my mum in to a nursing home was the hardest decision we have ever had to make!! my mum was a fit active independent lady who lost her health and mobility in a short space
of time. From the minute mum arrived at Isle court until her final minutes and after she was treated with love, empathy and dignity and with the highest level of care. All the staff we met on my mums journey were exceptional from the manager to reception to health care, to nurses to cleaners and the kitchen / stewards they were all amazing the love and care they provide to us as a family was truly outstanding I can not express how grateful we are to you all. You have made the hardest times of our lives bearable with the kindness love and support you have all shown to us we will always be forever thankful to you.
You truly are amazing! Thank you

My father came into Corbrook as an emergency respite for a week. However, his G.P advised that he stay in and eventually that was made permenant. I could not be happier with the way all staff at Corbrook have welcomed dad, encouraged him and helped him through the transition. With gratitude and relief
I now know dad is in safe hands and enjoying the food, walks and lovely warm environment. Thanks to all Corbrook Staff.

All the staff and management team played a part in providing excellent care and support to my mother to the end. She enjoyed the companionship and the staff always seemed to have time for a chat with her. She was treated with dignity and said how well she was being looked after. The home is always warm
and cosy, and the good selection of food I saw looked appetising. When my mother was no longer able to participate in the group social activities, then activities were brought to her in her room. I was always updated with any changes in my mother's condition and felt reassured that she was receiving good care. My thanks to all concerned.

As a family we never wanted mum or dad to live in a care home, unfortunately we exhausted all options to keep mum safe at home due to her living with Dementia. But now as a family we are all completely thrilled with mum's progress since moving into Isle court. She had spent many weeks in & out of hospital
& we didn't hold out much hope going forward. Now she is a different woman, she has picked up so well, vibrant & full of life again. She tells us all how she loves her new home, she feels so comfortable in her own room with everything she needs on hand. The staff are excellent & so respectful towards her. As a family we have no worries knowing she is being cared for 24/7 . Nothing is too much trouble, she is very well cared for & we always feel so welcome by all the staff, whatever their role within the home. This is a very well led home with such dedicated people, beautiful home inside & out. The future is now much brighter.

Despite being hours from dying, anticipatory medicines were not administered to my mother despite being asked for by myself. Instead, the nurse stated that she was looking up protocol and did so for more than an hour. My Mum had lapsed into unconsciousness by the time she did come to check on her. The
same nurse did not telephone a different family member, when the call to mine informing me of a deterioration was missed. (It was usual for the other family member to receive a call.) The staff range from being excellent to being indifferent, some even rude. There is a language barrier issue with many staff. Staffing is also inconsistent leading to confusion or lack of knowledge regarding appropriate care. For example, one staff member asked if I would encourage my mother to eat. I had to explain to her that she did not want food as she was dying. She seemed to be unaware of her status. Short staffing is evident.

Thank you for your review, despite the rating and comments. We as a home have tried to reach out to you on several occasions to discuss this with no joy. End of life care we know many people don't fully understand, we as a home do our best as we did with your loved one and EOL medications were not deemed necessary by GPs & Nurses at that time. We are sorry for your loss and we enjoyed having you & your loved one stay with us for 1 year and 8 months with no issues raised and as you say Excellent care provided. We understand this is a difficult time for you, please know we are here if you wish to reach out to us.

Bring honest in this review, the only issue we spotted were that the amount of staff seemed to decrease since the new company took on the management. All the staff deserve
