Review of Beeston Rise from C W (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum, who was diagnosed with dementia in December 2022, was a resident at Beeston Rise from August 2024 to June 2026. We chose Beeston Rise because it was new, luxuriously appointed and seemed to offer the standard of care we wanted for our mum. Things were fine at first but, as mum's dementia worsened, so did the care she received. Beeston Rise advertises itself as able to care for people with mild to moderate dementia, and perhaps it can, but dementia is a progressive condition, and I would counsel anyone looking for a care home for someone with dementia not to choose Beeston Rise. The staff does not have the training or understanding of dementia in its later stages to offer the necessary care and compassion. In addition, occupancy increased whilst mum was there, and with it staff turnover, so there was a total lack of continuity of care. Note that at my final relatives' meeting in June 2026, many of the same complaints were aired by relatives as at my first in September 2024.

Reply from Rachael Webb, Marketing Director at Beeston Rise

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed and honest review. I'm sorry to hear your thoughts on the standard of care your mum received not keeping up with her needs as her dementia progressed. Specialist dementia care requires real skill and consistency from staff, and I'm sorry that...

Review of Lindley Park Care Home from P W (Relative of Resident) published on 25 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I attended on Wednesday 5th August to visit a resident and was delighted with the lovely, peaceful atmosphere. On entry the security was excellent, the decor very pleasing. It was 10:40 am but some residents were still enjoying breakfast. Every member of staff was pleasant and helpful. Eye tests were being conducted and all residents were escorted there and stayed with. I have no experience of the management or value for money so have not completed those boxes. Overall if I needed a care home this one would be top of my list.

Review of York Manor Care Home from N I (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Finding a care home is extremely stressful. I've rated York Manor as good because of the short time we have been in partnership with them. Initial teething problems around communication have been dealt with. I questioned how effective handovers between shifts/carers was. Front of house are excellent and a great asset to the home. As the relationship builds I am hopeful my rating would increase to excellent. The foundation is looking good. My loved one is welll looked after and we as a family are happy with how her care is progressing. Thank you.

Review of Trent Bridge from J B (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 18 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I am writing this review based on our family's experience of having a relative stay at this care home. The home states that it is equipped to care for residents with dementia, but unfortunately, in our experience, we did not feel that this was the case. We ultimately made the difficult decision to move our loved one elsewhere due to a number of serious concerns regarding her care.
Throughout our relatively short time at the home, we experienced what we felt was a lack of transparency. We were given conflicting information by multiple members of staff regarding our loved one's care, and on several occasions we believe we were not told the truth about what happened.

I can only speak about our experience on the high-needs dementia floor and cannot comment on the other floors within the home. However, based on our experience, I would strongly advise families to think very carefully before choosing this home for a loved one with later-stage or high-needs dementia.

Thank you for such a heartfelt review. It's lovely to hear your nan has settled so well, and that the reassurance from the team helped ease those early worries about leaving her - that peace of mind means a lot to us too.

Thank you also for the kind words about how the home is kept, and for noting...
