Having been in various homes with elderly relations, Avocet House is the best one ever. From walking in the door the home is full of smiles and happiness. The staff are amazing which reflects on the residents who are also full of smiles. They have an agenda of activities every week. Most of them are
having fun times, but they also have discussions of their memories, which are wonderful to listen to. Visitors are always encouraged to join in, offered a drink and made welcome. My husband and I are always happy to go and never rush to come away. It is absolutely wonderfully amazing.
Reply from Jenny Bellwood, Marketing Director at Avocet House Care HomeThank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. We are truly delighted to hear that your experiences at Avocet House have been so positive and that both you and your husband feel welcomed when visiting.
Your comments about the warm, happy atmosphere and the dedication of our team mean a great deal to us. We take great pride in creating a home where residents feel comfortable, engaged, and valued, and it's wonderful to know that this is reflected in the smiles you see.
We're especially pleased that you enjoy the activities and the opportunities to share and listen to residents' memories-these moments are very special to us all. It's also lovely to hear that you feel encouraged to join in and made to feel part of the community.

Was very pleased with how light/airy/clean Toray Pines was on my initial visit to see if the home was suitable. Staff where really friendly and the home has a nice warm feeling to it. Everything was very last minute and they were super accomdating. The initial vist was a Saturday and we had my friend

My father has never experienced being in a Care Home before and he has thoroughly enjoyed his short term stay (2 weeks respite after being in hospital)
Excellent staff, rooms and facilities
Only thing that could be improved would be ensuring that my father was up and dressed to allow him to have
his breakfast at a reasonable time. On occassions breakfast was late and only an hour before lunch.
Reply from Jenny Bellwood, Marketing Director at Beeston RiseThank you for taking the time to share your review. This new residential care home is promising a bright future for Worksop people. Its decor, layout, lovely spacious rooms (with en suites) and approachability of caring staff is what led to its choice for my mother. New activities for residents to get involved with are being added each month, such
as inter-generational music with toddler/baby sessions, dog therapy, crafts, special events on the calendar (Valentines Day afternoon tea, Mother's Day lunch with families) and there will be more to come. Family and friends are welcomed whenever they choose to visit. Living further away it is good to know that my mother is in a safe place where she can rely on staff to support her in a friendly atmosphere and my siblings living nearby love going there. Having taken part in a couple of the activities when visiting and chatting to other residents I would be volunteering if I lived closer!

My mother is a resident at HHCH, and as a relative who visits frequently, I feel she is treated with dignity and respect.
She prefers to remain in her room rather than joining activities or dining with others; however, Hayley consistently makes efforts to encourage and include her whenever possible.
The
carers are always cheerful and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere within the home. I have found Clare to be an excellent manager who responds promptly to any concerns raised. I am also kept well informed should my mother experience a fall or have any health issues .

Mum, 94, moved into Gateford Lodge mid December. I'd made a visit beforehand to see what facilities they offered and if it would be suitable for Mum's needs. It's proven to be a perfect choice.
The home is 5* and so are the staff. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. Mum gets regular visits
from a District Nurse arranged by the home and her medication is given promptly each day. She's recently had an optician visit to choose new specs.
The home is beautifully decorated with spacious ensuite bedrooms with TV. There're activities/entertainment most days, a fab dining room serving great food, a hair salon with nail bar, TV lounge or a quieter garden room to chill out.
Residents can socialise and still feel independent and most importantly, secure. Thank you to all staff. I highly recommend Gateford Lodge Care Home.

Since moving to Gateford Lodge my mother has settled in very nicely and has been eating well and clearly enjoying her meals, which are freshly cooked on the premises.
These are served in a beautifully decorated dining room with tablecloths and napkins and even a glass of wine is offered.
The staff at Gateford lodge are so caring and give the residents their undivided attention.
The place is immaculate and the surroundings are beautiful. There is a hair salon, activities room , a tv lounge and a quiet area. I am looking forward to taking my mother out into the garden in the warmer months.
I have visited a lot of Carehomes in the local area and in my opinion Gateford Lodge is superior in every way. This is how all care homes should be.
