Moving mum to Willows from hospital was so easy. The management team put our minds at rest and all went smoothly.
The rooms are cosy and clean and well maintained.
The carers are so lovely and really take the time to get to know all their residents. They always have time for a chat and a catch up.
Christmas was so magical and fun. We have been so impressed we also moved our 102 year old aunt in also.

I cannot recommend this lovely home enough. It's so refreshing to be safe in the knowledge that my Nan is being looked after so well, whilst having fun in a gorgeous setting.
The staff are absolutely fantastic, warm, kind & conscientious. Not only do they regularly call my mum with updates, but as
a granddaughter I love seeing Nanny on their social media page!
The building is so clean, beautifully decorated, and Nanny's room is lovely. The gardens are also very pretty and it's nice to have the option to walk around there.
It really is so reassuring to know that Nanny is happy every day.
Thanks to all the team - you're amazing!

I have been visiting my Godmother at Mayflower Court for nearly two years. Immediately, I was impressed by the sense of community exemplified by the relationship between staff and residents, and staff leaders' readiness to accommodate reasonable adjustments, to make my Godmother's stay comfortable and
reassuring, and to cater to and adapt to her sense of autonomy. The example the staff set and continue to set has, in fact, inspired me to pursue a career within Health and Social Care myself.

Orchard Gardens, as a care home, and all the staff are above and beyond our expectations. There are no faults. The residents are treated with the utmost respect, care and kindness; (as are we when visiting), and always with patience in what must be very demanding work. There always seems to be an activity
/ entertainment of some kind going on for those who wish to join in. It seems a lot of care, thought and planning goes into these events - we came along to the Mother's Day afternoon Tea and had a very good time! Attention to detail was wonderful!
The food and food choices are excellent too, again, I'm sure, much thought goes into these too.
Hygiene standards are very high. Orchard Gardens has just been completely re-decorated and it's an extremely pleasant place to visit, as I'm sure it is for the residents to live and for staff to work. We know mum couldn't be anywhere nicer or better to live in. Thank you all for taking such good care of her. We think you are all amazing. Xx

Mums care at the home has been really good. Over the past year her health has deteriorated but the staff (everyone) has helped to keep her happy day to day. They do so much to keep mum entertained, stimulated with crafts and exercise. I do feel that the whole team from house management to the managers
are invested in mum's care but also ours, they Are so willing to be available for us. I feel very much part of a big team to help keep my mum comfortable.

The home is well run by caring staff. I was always offered a drink when I visited, which was very welcome. The manager was particularly friendly and always approachable and answered any questions I might have had. I couldn't have wished for a better care home for my mum to be in.

We visited an old friend of my mum, as she was unwell herself and couldn't visit. We were so impressed by the homely feel and brilliant staff. The manager introduced herself, and we thought the music was lovely.

My mum has been at Willow Gardens for nearly 4 years and she has received excellent care during that time. I looked at a lot of care homes before choosing Willow Gardens and have had no doubts about our choice. From the moment you walk through the doors there is a welcome, happy and calm environment.
There are lots of activities which residents can enjoy both inside and out of the care home and rooms are comfortable and can be personalised to make residents feel at home. Managers have always been available and easy to communicate with and the care staff have always been kind and thoughtful both to mum and myself. The communication between Willow Gardens and the GP surgery is excellent which gives added peace of mind. I can't speak highly enough of the care and kindness my mum has received from the wonderful care staff.

Mum has not long moved into Dawson Lodge after a traumatic time following the death of my dad.
Mum has had many years experience in the care sector she knows what the good, the bad and indifferent looks like.
Her words to me today were, " I'm so happy here it's a lovely place" high praise so quickly
into the move which I know was daunting for her.
Mum has noticed how efficient everyone is, nothing is too much trouble, the way she is cared for and handled with the personal touches and acts of kindness.
The catering team deserve a mention, the meals and the alternative offering on the menu is outstanding. Mum loved to cook so is very critical when it comes to food, she has had her 1st soft egg in 3 years! What a triumph!
The atmosphere at Dawson lodge is apparent for all to see, it feels like one big happy family.
Carers are meant to catch our loved ones when they fall, my mum has been well and truly caught. Thankyou Dawson Lodge.

My daughter lives at Mayflower Court, as a family and only regret is, we didn't move her there earlier. She joined in the pancake race today, what fun! Her sister and her had a great time.

My parents went to Dawson Lodge for respite care but it soon became apparent that the care they needed was permanent. Kirsten and her team have been so welcoming and understanding from the very beginning. My dad has had several falls and they always take great care of him. They receive delicious meals
everyday better than a 5 star hotel. They have a wide range of activities every week. We enjoy seeing the posts on social media, it helps to stay connected with them

The last 2 1/2 years my mother was in Mayflower Court. The management and carers had dealt with her everyday needs as her Alzheimer's progressed. The care and attention she was given like doing her makeup, and putting her necklaces on, when she could not longer to it. They knew exactly what she liked
to make her happy and she was. Things like this as a family put your mind at rest knowing you had chosen the right care home. The last day of her life they were wonderful and the support they gave me was second to none. My many thanks to them all.

Generally the care home is run very well with good relations for the residents and lots of support for their individual needs and their day to day problems. The activities planning is good but sometimes the residents are not helped or accompanied to help them get to or join in the activities or events.
Hence sometimes they don't go when they could or they experience problems there but do not get immediate help. Some care assistants are more active and involved with the residents than others. Some sit about too easily, do things on their mobile phones etc... when they could be supporting or interacting with the residents more. Some care assistants, being from other countries, do not understand English ways and so cannot support the residents as is best. It was a pity that the Home lost Sarah last year as she was a great boost and support for residents and built very effective bridges with outside families. She was positive, full of life and building some great activities for all people.
Reply from Rhiannon Crofts, Manager at Mayflower CourtThank you for taking the time to review Mayflower Court and we are pleased that you rate our safety/ security as excellent. I'm pleased to read your comments about the relationships within our home and the way individual needs are supported day to day. That matters deeply to us. We are reviewing staffing allocation at activity times to strengthen support. Consistency of engagement from all team members is something we take seriously, as our expectation is that staff are visible, present, and interacting with residents. Our team use hand-held electronic devices as part of our digital care planning system. These devices allow staff to record care in real time and access information safely. We continue to build and strengthen our team and links with loved ones and our wider community. We operate an open-door approach and actively encourage loved ones and visitors to discuss any issues when it is convenient, so that we can address them promptly.

The atmosphere at Orchard Gardens is vibrant, friendly and full of fun. There are regular activities, outings and visits by entertainers, horses and even occasional visits by a mini zoo! On site management and staff are equally involved in all aspects of the daily life of residents and are happy
to respond to the smallest query. The home is surrounded by beautiful, well-tended gardens and there is a restaurant and a swimming pool. Family members are made very welcome at all times and encouraged to join in the fun if they wish. Menus are changed regularly and the meals are very tasty. Snacks and drinks are always on offer!
Having said all that, what really makes Orchard Gardens outstanding is that each and every staff member takes a real interest in each and every resident, getting to know them and respecting their individual needs.
Mum was so well cared for within the Orchard Gardens 'family' and we couldn't have wished for a better home for her last three years.

I arrived at Willow Gardens on the 16th of January. I had broken my wrist. The care I received immediately was amazing. It continued during my whole stay. The management and carers couldn't have been more helpful. I now feel so much better.

After reading many positive reviews about Dawsons Lodge we decided to visit. From the moment we walked in we knew straight away this was the perfect place for our mum. It is a wonderful and well run home with a warm, kind and friendly atmosphere. Every resident is clearly treated with genuine compassion,
dignity and respect. The home is bright, spotlessly clean and very welcoming, with beautiful outdoor space and a lovely garden. We were impressed by the wide range of daily activities, which is tailored to suit everyone's interests and abilities. What stood out most was the exceptional team. From the manager to every member of staff, everyone is professional, approachable and supportive to both residents and families. They took time to understand our mum's physical and emotional needs in detail, nothing was overlooked. Everyone we met seemed happy and well cared for. We feel hugely relieved that our mum will be moving here, knowing that she will be in the best possible hands.

Mum has been in the care of the excellent team and staff at the above home since early December last year due to her dementia diagnosis. During this time we've found the team very supportive and caring for the whole family as well as mum. They treat mum with great warmth, dignity and a tremendous effort
goes into making her feel at home. I have no qualms in recommending Dawson Lodge to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation to us looking for care for a relative 10/10
