My brother stayed at Westoe Grange for respite for 2 weeks, and the experience was a very positive one. The Manager and the team were incredibly accommodating as my brother had been in hospital and was very confused. His daughter's, who found the whole situation very stressful, were supported in the
initial move, and the manager and team went the extra mile to ensure that he settled as well as could be expected. I live in Cornwall and was very concerned about my brother. I would like to express my thanks for their help during his stay, and although he is moving on, I would highly recommend Westoe Grange.

My dad's first experience of staying for respite care has been a very positive one. The staff were incredibly caring, thoughtful and provided me with regular updates on how he was settling. When I first visited the home I got a sense of warmth and understanding of residents needs. Dad, during his 2
week stay participated in activities, singing and bingo for example and there was always someone to talk to. Family members visited during his stay and his was never a problem and they found him content and settled due to supportive, experienced staff.

Following a fall at home, Mam went into respite care at Westoe Grange for a short time, while we (family) sorted out adaptations to her house etc. From the moment we called to enquire about room availability, to the day when she finally headed back home after a stay of around one month, the team at
Westoe Grange were first class: the staff at Westoe Grange were like an extension to the family and nothing was ever too much trouble to them - they ensured Mam's stay was just right to help her regain confidence after the fall. The staff are constantly attentive, and all of them are genuine, extremely hardworking and deeply caring.
Thanks in no small part to the care of the team at Westoe Grange, Mam is back home, living independently again (at 96 years old). The short period of respite care they provided is just what she needed to help her get back on her feet.

Mum has been a resident at St Anne's since March 2025. She has settled so well and is really happy there. All the staff are lovely, they know who you are and who you are visiting and know exactly where mum is every time I go. Mum has made lots of friends there and when we visit she can't get rid of
us quickly enough so she can get on with her socialising. She is so much better in herself since living there. Putting Mum in care was such a hard decision but seeing how well she is looked after and the care the staff take of her has totally put my mind at rest. It's like a little family.

My mam only resided at Westoe Grange for a little over 8 months but her time there was filled with genuine care, love and support. The staff are so friendly and clearly love their job. I would often come in to find the staff giving mam a cuddle when she was confused or anxious until I could be with
her: the staff will never appreciate how their actions supported me as much as my mam! When mam was admitted to hospital, two members of staff visited her and again offered support and love to both mam and the family; they even attended her funeral and were visibly upset because of their genuine affection for mam. I will never forget the dedication and love showered on mam at Westoe Grange and wish I could mention each and every member of staff personally - as they all played a part in helping mam to feel she belonged during her final months. Thank you all so much for everything you all did - you are such special people and you will probably never realise the difference you made to our lives.

My mum has just celebrated her 90th birthday at Westoe Grange. I cannot thank the staff enough for all their help, support and kindness in making this event such a special occasion for us all! Although the Home was especially busy that day, they found time to provide us with tea, coffee and sandwiches
as well as decorating the room with banners and balloons. Their care and support for not only my mum but for all the family is exemplary and we have some lovely treasured memories as a result. Thank you so much.

I have to express my thanks to all staff. My mam after 86 years had a fall, went into hospital then unfortunately had to go into care, which was a really difficult time. The staff and that is everyone have been so understanding making sure her care was put into place, always with a smile and excellent
encouragement as my mother has lost her nerve walking after the fall. The staff have gone out of their way to support me as well. Giving a phone call and a update at all time on many occasions. Nothing has been a problem to solve, again I feel my mam is in safe hands. Thanks a million.

My sister moved into St Annes in March 2023. This was arranged over a weekend and has proven to be a good decision. Located on the lovely frontage of Whitley Bay my sisters room looks onto the promenade. Easy access to fresh air and connection with the community.
A warm welcome and lots of smiles are
offered by staff at all times which generates a caring and sensitive and friendly approach to the elderly through all levels of the organization.
Cleanliness of the fabric is clean and tidy and to a reasonable standard with improvements managed on a rolling programme. Individual residents rooms are cleaned regularly and although of modest standards access to shower/bath facilities are available. Lift provision could be improved. Lounges offer choices to residents for social activities or to simply relax and chat.
A variety of activities is on offer to all able residents and the Christmas celebrations is well attended. Live entertainment is part of the fun. My sister is content.

We sought a respite place for mother that would meet her needs. We were delighted from the outset at the quality of care in all it's diverse dimensions. Staff were always very good humored in dealing with the various demands of our mother. Feedback and information for family was first class and reassuring.
We were concerned about medication and health but knew we were leaving mum in very good hands. We would recommend this home to anybody and would not hesitate to return mum to their care in the future.

Mum settled in quickly and I am impressed with how safe St Annes Care Home feels and how welcome we are made as visitors. Mum clearly likes the food and the coastal location means we can make the most of even short walks outside. She has been there for more than a year now and it is great to see the
