Shaw healthcare provides a spectrum of care services for vulnerable adults in a variety of settings. Shaw now employs over 4,500 people to provide care to over 3,000 individuals in registered care homes, hospitals, supported living arrangements, retirement schemes and domiciliary care settings.

Shaw has forged successful partnerships with Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and Social Care teams across England, Wales and Scotland, developing care services and facilities for adults, older people and those with dementia and complex needs at the request of care commissioners.

Initially by chance and then through familiarity I have become a weekly visitor at Greenhill - spending an hour or two chatting to residents. I have got to know a half dozen or so quite well over time and now regards them as friends. I like them, we have a bit of fun as we relive the past. I have always
been felt welcome by management and staff and I am constantly impressed by the effort made to ensure the well being, comfort and happiness of residents. All are treated with respect, care, compassion and kindness. A real effort in taken to stimulate and enrich lives through a range of activities, offered by enthusiastic positive staff - with a genuine attempt to include as many as possible in this.

My dad has been a resident at Greenhill for over 2 years now. The care he has recieved has been outstanding in all areas. The staff and management go above and beyond to make sure that every resident's need are taken into consideration, from personal care to activities. We as a family couldn't ask for
better care for our dad, this have given us as a family peace of mind - as he is so well looked aftered.

Having looked at a number of care homes for my Dad, Cartref was the only one my mother and I felt happy applying to. Walking into this this comfortable, homely, friendly and genuinely welcoming space was a delight and we both gave a huge sigh of relief immediately.
Thoughtfully set out and wonderfully
managed, the sense of 'home' is tangible and the 'care '- from everyone- is both apparent & hugely appreciated. The staff (all of them) are lovely, the management team knowledgable and utterly aware of all possible needs & preferences, and the activities on offer for the residents are varied, fun, enriching and inclusive at all times.
My Dad was welcomed with genuine care & warmth and has settled better than we would ever have imagined, giving US the knowledge and reassurance that we have made the best possible choice possible and that he will get everything he needs for a safe, comfortable & enriched existance.

Dad had to go for respite as mum had an accident and was in hospital for a long time.
Dad has now been at Elizabeth House for just over a year. I am so pleased that he is here as the care, support and kindness all the staff have given him is lovely to see and you can tell he is happy and safe.
The
staff keep us well informed of dads health and they are always on hand and take time to talk to you about his care/health.
To be honest I dont know what we would have done without them, the staff are all amazing.
I would like to thank you all so much for looking after my dad.

We as a family are very happy with the service and care given to our 92 yr old mother. They have taken care and looked after her extremely well. Mother is very happy there, the accommodation is everything you could ask for comfortable rooms and the communal areas are always very well kept. Mum as made
new friends since moving in and it is a comfort to us knowing she is safe there.

We have had a amazing service from all the staff at Barton Mews, Elaine has been exceptional in everything we had asked.
My mum has settled in extremely well, getting on with all the residents, and speaks very highly of the care she is receiving.

Deerswood Lodge is honestly the very best care home for my father.


It was heart breaking to have to send him to a home but in reality it's the very best place for him.


All the staff are impeccably trained professionals who show genuine care to all the residents.


They have gone beyond the boundaries

of what would be required and I am truly grateful for their care and dedication

This is my mums second week at Figbury and for my mum, who has dementia, loves the social aspect and has made some lovely friends there. The carers are so lovely and caring and understands everyone's needs. My mum seems to be a different person in a good way

Figbury Lodge is an asset to Conford Heath. I have been very welcomed by all the staff, and everyone has the most beaming smile. I have never felt more safe. It is so homely and all the residents are lovely. Food is amazing, and it's easy to make changes.

My mother was bed bound, not eating well, unresponsive and I thought she had given up when she was in hospital. The move to Burley's Wood has been truly transformative! She's eating better, has a positive outlook, is not suffering some of the side effects of the drugs she was taking and is more like
my old mum.
In all honesty, my mum is not overly flattering about the food - but a very minor issue considering how well she is doing.
The staff are friendly, respectful, professional, very courteous and always content to chat. I am very grateful for all they do. The Manager is always willing to chat and is honest and sympathetic when asked for updates, which is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I visited 6 care homes and I knew immediately I walked through Cartref's door that this was the one for my parents. The staff were friendly and chatting to the residents and the residents seem very happy. My mother has been here for 2.5 years and is very content indeed.

My brother recently received kind and sensitive care while staying at Sycamore Lodge. I was grateful for the good communication skills of staff also way that visitors are made to feel comfortable and welcome. My brother's care needs were challenging but all the carers were pleasant and efficient,
