The homely atmosphere of the home they are truly one big family. All staff are so friendly and have time for the residents. The home

My husband has been a resident at Brampton Lodge since February 2025.
He seems settled now after unfortunatiely having to move rooms twice.
The day to day running of the unit works well with permanent staff however when casual staff are covering the operations don't run as smooth some staff don't
recognise residents needs
The housekeeping is good with all rooms kept clean and tidy..
The laundry works well to return clothes on a daily basis.
The residents seem to enjoy the menu and meals
Need to stimulate residents with more activities this us being reviewed
Relative and resident meetings are planned bimonthly to have friendly discussions and meet other family members .
Senior Management and Senior Carer are visible ,approachable and ready to listen and act upon when needed.
Residents and family are treated with care and respect
I visit on regular basis always greeted by friendly hello by receptionist .
I enjoy my visits and interaction with residents
Reply from Bev Oliver, Regional Operations Manager at Brampton Lodge Care CentreThank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review of your husband's experience at Brampton Lodge.
We're really pleased to hear that he is now feeling settled after his initial room changes, and that the day-to-day care provided by our permanent staff has made a positive impact. Your kind comments about the cleanliness, laundry service, and quality of meals are greatly appreciated, and we're glad these aspects are contributing to his comfort.
We also value your honest feedback regarding the challenges when casual staff are on duty. Ensuring all team members understand and respond to each resident's individual needs is a priority, and your comments will help us reinforce this across the wider team.
It's encouraging to hear that both residents and families feel treated with care and respect, that our senior team are visible and approachable. We're also delighted that you feel welcomed during your visits and enjoy interacting with others in the home.

I recommended Alexandra Mill to my daughter in laws nan. She was struggling at home with everyday tasks. They, as a family, brought her in for respite, but with the care she received and how she became happier in herself, they took the decision to have her put in permanently. Which is now over 3 months,
the best decision they as a family have made.
Reply from Stephanie Sheer, General Manager at Alexandra MillThank you for taking the time to share your kind feedback. Were so pleased to hear that your daughter-in-laws nan settled in well during her respite stay and that the experience helped your family feel confident in making the decision for her to stay with us permanently.

Its wonderful to know that the care and support she has received at Alexandra Mill has helped her feel happier and more comfortable in herself. Our team works hard to create a warm, supportive environment where residents can feel safe, valued, and truly at home.

Thank you again for recommending Alexandra Mill and for trusting us with her care. It means a great deal to our team to know that weve been able to make such a positive difference for both her and your family.

We moved my mum to Brampton Lodge Care Home after being very unhappy with her previous care home, and the difference has been incredible. Mum has advanced dementia, so strong leadership was crucial. Although she's only been here six weeks, I already have complete trust and faith in the manager. In my
experience, the quality of a home depends on the manager - and he is brilliant. He has been accommodating, proactive and ensured Mum's care is truly tailored to her needs.

The staff treat her with dignity, patience and kindness, and communication is excellent. The food is very good and they've been fantastic at accommodating her dietary needs. The activities team also deserve recognition for creating meaningful, inclusive moments for residents.

We finally have real peace of mind. Thank you to the whole team.

My husband went into the Care Home in December 2025. He seems to have settled in well and the care and attention that the staff give to him is excellent. As all my husband's visitors have commented, it doesn't seem like a typical Care Home, more like a lovely hotel and it is the best that they, and
I, have ever seen. He has a lovely room overlooking a well kept garden area which hopefully he will be able to take advantage of once the better weather arrives! They have a fantastic range of activities twice a day, every day, and this is such an important part of my husband's well being. My husband has to have a pureed diet due to his health needs but it is always freshly made and well presented. There is also a cafe area which is great for socialising in with visitors and other residents. The lounge areas for the residents are very modern and give you a homely feel. I would highly recommend the Care Home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved one to stay.
Reply from Bev Oliver, Regional Operations Manager at Alexandra MillThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. It truly means a great deal to us.
We are delighted to hear that your husband has settled in well and that you feel confident in the care and attention he receives. Our team works incredibly hard to create not just a safe environment, but a place that feels welcoming, comfortable and dignified - so it is wonderful to hear it described as feeling more like a lovely hotel than a typical care home.
It's especially reassuring to know that the activities programme is supporting your husband's wellbeing. Meaningful engagement is such an important part of daily life, and we're so pleased he is benefiting from the variety on offer. We're also glad that his dietary needs are being met with care, ensuring his meals are both suitable and attractively presented.
Your kind words about the environment, the caf space, and the gardens mean a great deal to the whole team. Creating a homely atmosphere for residents

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum attends the day care centre four times a week. She loves going. I can't thank Kirsty and her team for the caring, friendly and professional way they are with my mum. It's given mum a new lease of life. Mum loves the company and it's given me the peace of mind that's she's in good hands. They
pick her up and bring her home. It's a lovely place and I would recommend it to anyone, as I have done several times.
