How do I begin ? My 97 year old has been supported at home on Anglesey for the last 5 years . The community care has been superb .However due to loneliness and increasing issues we made the very difficult decision to move her near to us here in Shropshire .We have not looked back . The care and philosophy
behind the service at Sandstone Brook is second to none . My Mother in Law has been treated with dignity, kindness and compassion from the minute she arrived . The activity programme is excellent ,providing fun stimulation and opportunities for social interaction not only for residents but also for families allowing them
to get to know one another . I now feel my MIL is part of an extended family but with the benefit of having access to medical needs . We can visit as a family rather than carers and give quality time. Sandstone Brook is like a 5 **** hotel but with expert nursing. As a retired health care worker I have been in many homes but none have been as special as this.

I cannot recommend Sandstone Brook enough. From the moment my husband and I first visited, we felt an immediate sense of warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. The staff are truly outstanding kind and compassionate nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and beautifully
maintained, creating a welcoming environment that truly is a 'home from home'.

Even the activities and social opportunities are personalised to my husband's interests which is incredible and keeps him engaged and happy. The communication from the team is clear and reassuring, making us feel confident and at ease about his care.

Overall, Sandstone Brook has provided peace of mind, and we are both eternally grateful, thank you.

I have reviewed favourably before however I feel that in the last few months in particular, I have witnessed some really heart felt interactions between staff and residents (my husband included) eg. support shown to families through bereavement process. Gala day organisation to raise funds- however
inclusion of residents was superb- all staff played a part throughout day whether out on stalls etc or caring for incapacitated residents. Several birthday celebration with banners cards presents and cake of course! No one ever left out! Residents all included in the updating and new furnishings throughout the building. Big shout out to team for personal memory photographs for each residents room. And of course- staff in Blair and garden view and the mad woman in the kitchen I could never thank you or praise you enough.

Burnside Culture Day 25 July 2025. Staff from all areas of the care home came together to deliver an afternoon of fun and joy. Many of the people involved were volunteering their own time and talents much to the delight of the many residents who attended in the well tended, flag bedecked garden. Residents
enjoyed food, music and dancing including Scottish Highland dancing accompanied by a piper and a "flash mob" of staff all happily dancing together. The food - a very important thing, for many residents, was excellent. A hot buffet of Asian food prepared mainly by the Fillipine staff. There was a variety of textures, smells and tastes. The multicultural event included songs from various countries. A happy, happy day!

My father was a long term resident at Lindridge and a dementia patient. Over the years, while there have been changes in management emphasis and several different care/refurbishment initiatives, the professionalism and skill of the carers, clinical staff and all the house-keeping teams has always shone
though. All of the contracted staff have been interested in and sensitive to my Dad's well-being and care needs, his deteriorating cognitive and physical condition and his personal likes and dislikes. He formed strong bonds with many, both during the day and at night.
As a family we have been always welcomed, looked-after, accommodated, supported and guided by all the staff. They have been consistently positive, attentive and considerate, going above and beyond to help us to celebrate special days together and to give us privacy when needed too.
Reply from Louise Offer, Business Administrator at Lindridge

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
No problems, the staff are all excellent. My husband is always clean and tidy even though he can be challenging at times they are very patient and caring. I am always kept up to date with any changes in medication and any problems I have get dealt with well. I'm confident he is getting well looked after
which is the most important thing.
