Bracebridge Care Group is built on Emotional Intelligence through the veins of all that they are and all that they do. They are dedicated to providing exceptional heart-centred care across their newly established care homes. The homes they build are designed to support diverse individual needs, especially people living with dementia. They emphasise inclusivity, welcoming older LGBTQI individuals, and fostering a sense of community and belonging. Each home has a team of dedicated professionals carefully selected for their emotional intelligence and commitment to heart-centred care.

The care environments are thoughtfully crafted to feel like 'home from home', promoting independence and emotional well-being. Including dogs (and ducks in one home!) living in the homes – which offer a true sense of home and a 4-legged friend for everyone! Team members relax when times get tough and people who exhibit heightened emotions are calmed by a dog in the home.

They created a whole system on tech with a focus on giving back time to the team so they can spend more time with the people they support. They employ innovative technologies such as Nourish care planning, Camascope EMAR, and PainChek to ensure high-quality, kind and heart-centred care to everyone including the team. The homes are also equipped with acoustic monitoring systems to enhance people’s safety without unnecessary intrusions especially at night-time.

The team is led by a senior team who understand leadership in care. With the CEO a director on the Outstanding Society, as well as a recipient of the Chief Nurse award, they know that they will keep developing their offer. They are always open to sharing their best practice and have had other care home groups come and join the managers for days in their homes to see how they use their systems and to enable them to learn. They understand that every day offers the opportunity to feel purpose and love.

During mum's time at Acer Lodge she has been cared for with compassion and love. The staff put mum's welfare as priority but are also always there to support the family. I have been very impressed at the communication provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending Acer Lodge as a care home for

My father moved into Cedar Lodge in Sept 2025 when he was longer able to live alone.
I can not express how happy we were with the care provided there. It is a beautiful facility, the nearest thing you can get to a hotel. The staff were all amazing. Always available to talk to if you had any concerns.
My father had advanced dementia and towards the end of his life he didn't want to eat. The staff had a special way of encouraging him to take "one more bite" The cook would also specially prepare something special to try and encourage him to eat. The meals were excellent, restaurant worthy, as was the dining room.
My dads room was always clean and we were able to add small pieces of furniture from home to make it more personal.
As visitors, we were made so welcome, always being asked if we needed anything.
When my dad passed away, the staff were wonderful, making it so much easier for us.
I thoroughly recommend Cedar Lodge for taking care of your loved one.

We just adored your Father and his smile. I remember on his first day your brother was worried about him settling in, he sat next to a lady, they instantly started smiling, holding hands and became great friends which was so special to us all.

My father moved to Cedar Lodge when he was no longer able to manage with care at home. The level of care and kindness from all the staff was outstanding. He was encouraged to participate where he could and staff spent lots of time getting to know him and it always felt like a very caring and friendly
environment.
Sadly his health deteriorated after a few months but his care was adapted to his needs and everything possible was done proactively to keep him comfortable and the last few months of his life were as comfortable as we could have wished for. It was always a pleasure to visit dad at Cedars in such a nice modern and clean environment with lovely staff which I will miss.

My sister was in palliative care at Cedar Lodge. It is completely rennovated, and as such, provides a lovely place for those in care. The garden room and all other spaces are clean, bright and well-maintanined for all to enjoy. Snacks, tea and coffee are readily available for visitors. The food is nutrious,
and well prepared. Excellent cakes are baked fresh each day, adding to the home-like appeal.
The staff at Cedar Lodge are very good, providing not just medical care, but also care for the souls in their charge. They go out of their way to give individualized attention and the difference is evident.
With appreciation.

Cedar Lodge is a special place and we instantly knew that this was the best place for our dad.
He has not been an 'easy' resident but has always been treated with respect and kindness.
Many staff go above and beyond their job specification and you genuinely feel that they truly care for dad.
Communication
to the family from the staff is excellent and any minor issues are dealt with quickly.
It is a very lovely place.

My father spent 10 days of respite care at Cedar Lodge over the Christmas period - he received excellent care throughout his stay and was very happy staying there. The staff were all extremely kind and caring towards my father and they all work so hard. Cedar Lodge is a very comfortable and well designed
care home which offers many up-to-date facilities. The garden room is a wonderful place for the residents to relax and enjoy the entertainment and planned activities. Cedar Lodge is located in the lovely village of Whitchurch and is in a quiet lane not far from Pangbourne.

My mother spent the last six weeks of her life at Cedar Lodge and it was a comfort to know she was well cared for and very comfortable during a very difficult time for her and her family. The staff all went out of their way to tailor to her individual needs. She had a lovely room with a peaceful view
of the beautiful garden and for someone who has always loved her garden and the outdoors this provided a literal window to the outside world. The visitors kitchen provided a relaxing space, offering complimentary refreshments, which was very welcome, particularly if arriving stressed straight from work. The staff were all extremely kind and hard working and always tried to accommodate any requests, including sourcing and making her green jelly which she had developed a penchant for. The facilities are very clean and brand new with a high spec finish. I am glad my mother had such a peaceful environment to spend her last chapter in and am forever grateful for the care she received.

We visited while Tony was entertaining the residents in the lounge . He was brilliant at engaging with them all . The music obviously triggers something within them . My aunty has dementia and was loving singing along to all the songs he played. She is much happier and more engaged at acer lodge than
the home she was previously in. Tony deserves a pay rise . Keep up the great work .

This is one of the best care homes I've ever been to and the staff are so knowledgeable, professional and kind.
The activities are based around all the residents and encourages everyone to participate, where possible.
The staff work well together as a team and the important part is they actually care,
rather than work as carers.
You can have care homes which looks like hotels and others that resemble a bed and breakfast. But it's the staff inside that make it a home.
Cedar Lodge has the look of a hotel and the care of a lovely home.
Well done to all the staff for making the difference.

It's early days for my mother at Cedar Lodge. So far, our experience has been positive, with staff doing everything possible help my mother settle in. The facilities at the home are exceptional and staff are always helpful and willing to take individual requests into account. Carers are attentive and
responsive. As a new home, everything is immaculately clean and well cared for. For those who wish, there are plenty of activities and opportunities to meet other people. At the same time, no one is forced to join in with these and those who prefer more calm and peace will certainly find it here.

My mum stayed at Cedar Lodge for 2 weeks in August 2025, she loved the experience and was very happy. The staff at the home helped me manage transitioning my mum into her first respite care by supporting me taking mum for several visits for coffees or lunch at the home. Each time she went she was asking
to go back as we were always made to feel so welcome. This really helped mum to prepare for her respite care and settle in without any issues.
The staff are so lovely and caring at the home. Susy does a great job of providing activities throughout the week for the residents so there is always something entertaining and interesting to get involved in.
The home is beautifully presented and the bedrooms and lovely and comfortable.
I will definitely be taking mum back for more respite care in the future.
