Bracebridge Care Group is built on Emotional Intelligence through the veins of all that they are and all that they do. They are dedicated to providing exceptional heart-centred care across their newly established care homes. The homes they build are designed to support diverse individual needs, especially people living with dementia. They emphasise inclusivity, welcoming older LGBTQI individuals, and fostering a sense of community and belonging. Each home has a team of dedicated professionals carefully selected for their emotional intelligence and commitment to heart-centred care.

The care environments are thoughtfully crafted to feel like 'home from home', promoting independence and emotional well-being. Including dogs (and ducks in one home!) living in the homes – which offer a true sense of home and a 4-legged friend for everyone! Team members relax when times get tough and people who exhibit heightened emotions are calmed by a dog in the home.

They created a whole system on tech with a focus on giving back time to the team so they can spend more time with the people they support. They employ innovative technologies such as Nourish care planning, Camascope EMAR, and PainChek to ensure high-quality, kind and heart-centred care to everyone including the team. The homes are also equipped with acoustic monitoring systems to enhance people’s safety without unnecessary intrusions especially at night-time.

The team is led by a senior team who understand leadership in care. With the CEO a director on the Outstanding Society, as well as a recipient of the Chief Nurse award, they know that they will keep developing their offer. They are always open to sharing their best practice and have had other care home groups come and join the managers for days in their homes to see how they use their systems and to enable them to learn. They understand that every day offers the opportunity to feel purpose and love.

Outstanding Amenities. Management were wonderful and very friendly. Beautiful welcoming entrance and friendly staff on reception. Care support for my sister was excellent. Maureen's room was lovely , spotlessly clean and everything she needed. The staff were amazing, nothing was to much trouble.
The
facilities were excellent and facilities for visitors. Could not fault anything, it's the best nursing home I have encountered.
I applaud all the staff in the role they do, making it a very pleasant place for respite or long term residents.

We recently traveled from the US to visit my wife's beloved mother at Cedar Lodge and were immediately delighted with the quality of the facility, staff and warm, welcoming environment. The staff, including Lisa, made us feel so comfortable enabling us to savor the experience of spending precious time
with my mother-in-law.
When we drove up to Cedar Lodge for the first time earlier this month, our seven-year old granddaughter gazed at the facade with wonder, saying "I didn't know that great-grandma was living in a castle". Those sweet words from a child brought a smile to everyone.
Please let me express my deepest gratitude to Cedar Lodge and the staff with the knowledge that an ocean away we can be supremely confident that great-grandma is being well looked after while enjoying her lovely new home and all it has to offer.
Respectfully,

January 21st-January 22nd
With the swift support of the Palliative Care team at the Hospital and the Customer Focus Lead at Cedar Lodge, my 90-year-old father was moved there for his final couple of days as an end of life patient.
We were so fortunate that he was in such a dignified and peaceful setting
and was treated so kindly and well by his nurses and the whole team, led by the home manager.
As his family, we were also made to feel very comfortable and cared for, being nurtured throughout the days. The staff were sensitive, but also able to bring some light relief at a time when we needed it the most.
Putting a butterfly on my father's door was a very thoughtful touch which inspired us to choose an urn with the same motif when he was cremated. The ceremony of opening the window and letting out his spirit will always stay with us and for how he was looked after throughout his stay.
We will always be grateful for everything Cedar Lodge did for my father and us.
Reply from Samantha Crawley, CEO at Cedar LodgeThank you so much for this amazing review of your experience during what was a very difficult time for you all. We really appreciate you taking the time to praise the team at the home for their compassion and care. It is so good to hear that you appreciated the use of the butterfly, this was borne of feedback from a family member some time ago and we have had feedback from family members how special it is, we are glad too that this inspired your choice of motif on the urn you chose. We will ensure this beautiful review is shared with the team. Thank you S

My husband received care at The Maples as rehabilitation following a stroke. Although he didn't see the physiotherapist as often as I thought he would, the staff were very good at mobilazation. My only criticism would be that I found the uniforms very confusing a board showing who uniforms were assigned
to would be useful.
Reply from Samantha Crawley, CEO at The MaplesThank you so much Jan for your feedback and we truly appreciate your comments regarding the team. With regard the uniforms we should have given you more detail about this and we will work on ensuring people get a clear picture of why the uniforms are colourful and non-role specific. Thank you again S

My father moved into Cedar Lodge in Sept 2025 when he was longer able to live alone.
I can not express how happy we were with the care provided there. It is a beautiful facility, the nearest thing you can get to a hotel. The staff were all amazing. Always available to talk to if you had any concerns.
My father had advanced dementia and towards the end of his life he didn't want to eat. The staff had a special way of encouraging him to take "one more bite" The cook would also specially prepare something special to try and encourage him to eat. The meals were excellent, restaurant worthy, as was the dining room.
My dads room was always clean and we were able to add small pieces of furniture from home to make it more personal.
As visitors, we were made so welcome, always being asked if we needed anything.
When my dad passed away, the staff were wonderful, making it so much easier for us.
I thoroughly recommend Cedar Lodge for taking care of your loved one.

My father moved to Cedar Lodge when he was no longer able to manage with care at home. The level of care and kindness from all the staff was outstanding. He was encouraged to participate where he could and staff spent lots of time getting to know him and it always felt like a very caring and friendly
environment.
Sadly his health deteriorated after a few months but his care was adapted to his needs and everything possible was done proactively to keep him comfortable and the last few months of his life were as comfortable as we could have wished for. It was always a pleasure to visit dad at Cedars in such a nice modern and clean environment with lovely staff which I will miss.

My sister was in palliative care at Cedar Lodge. It is completely rennovated, and as such, provides a lovely place for those in care. The garden room and all other spaces are clean, bright and well-maintanined for all to enjoy. Snacks, tea and coffee are readily available for visitors. The food is nutrious,
and well prepared. Excellent cakes are baked fresh each day, adding to the home-like appeal.
The staff at Cedar Lodge are very good, providing not just medical care, but also care for the souls in their charge. They go out of their way to give individualized attention and the difference is evident.
With appreciation.

Cedar Lodge is a special place and we instantly knew that this was the best place for our dad.
He has not been an 'easy' resident but has always been treated with respect and kindness.
Many staff go above and beyond their job specification and you genuinely feel that they truly care for dad.

My father spent 10 days of respite care at Cedar Lodge over the Christmas period - he received excellent care throughout his stay and was very happy staying there. The staff were all extremely kind and caring towards my father and they all work so hard. Cedar Lodge is a very comfortable and well designed

My mother spent the last six weeks of her life at Cedar Lodge and it was a comfort to know she was well cared for and very comfortable during a very difficult time for her and her family. The staff all went out of their way to tailor to her individual needs. She had a lovely room with a peaceful view
of the beautiful garden and for someone who has always loved her garden and the outdoors this provided a literal window to the outside world. The visitors kitchen provided a relaxing space, offering complimentary refreshments, which was very welcome, particularly if arriving stressed straight from work. The staff were all extremely kind and hard working and always tried to accommodate any requests, including sourcing and making her green jelly which she had developed a penchant for. The facilities are very clean and brand new with a high spec finish. I am glad my mother had such a peaceful environment to spend her last chapter in and am forever grateful for the care she received.

We visited while Tony was entertaining the residents in the lounge . He was brilliant at engaging with them all . The music obviously triggers something within them .
