The food is so varied. He loves the food. There is always a choice of different hot food. Definitely put weight on. His room is really nice. Very spacious and comfortable. We're still able to take him out occasionally. Shirley has taken him outside for some fresh air and Dylan always rings me if there are any issues. He's not always steady on his feet these days. We're reassured with Nurses nearby,Dad is definitely in the best place as his Dementia advances.

This was the first time I visited my friend at Acer Lodge. I enjoyed the visit so much, due to the staff, environment, homely and welcoming feeling. The entertainment, and residents & visitors enjoying the entertainment, was second to none! Looking forward to visit again!

Attended the talent contest. Very proffessionally organised. Plenty of music & singing which went down well with the residents.

The Oaks solved our problems. 1) My dad's complex & progressive dementia needs and 2. My inability to cope with them at home. I am confident that he gets the best possible care, and that the staff can handle his future needs, as his condition worsens. The carers and other staff are kind & attentive. It is also good to know that qualified, experienced nurses are on hand 24/7.

Overall very happy with the care at Acer Lodge. Seemed to be short staffed initially however staffing levels now much better. Entertainment for residents is wonderful and inclusive. Always kept very clean and tidy. Nice environment for our loved one. Lovely home and would recommend.

Overall a very good experience. At first the staffing levels were quite low however they have now recruited more staff and levels are much better. Mum loves the entertainment and this is the highlight of her day. Love the different floors/household that have been put together to suit the temperament of the resident. It is always spotlessly clean. Food is good. Some lacking accompaniments e.g. bread roll with soup or tartar sauce with fish. Good choices.

My father moved into the Oaks Feb 26. The care my father received was not outstanding. His basic care needs was not met. Given wrong consistency of food so aspirated twice in their care. He was just left in bed that was too small and his legs were constantly restricted, no bedrails on his bed. Care plan was not always followed. Rude management, rude staff. My father was under nourished and dehydrated. Moved him out of there and just in 3 days in his new care home he is very alert and smiling and he sits out and is now thriving.

The care home is fabulous. Welcoming, friendly staff, spotlessly clean. I love the lounge and dining/kitchen area, feels like being at home. Table settings are lovely. Bedrooms are spacious with fitted wardrobes and private en-suite. The care staff are very kind and empathetic. My friend always looks lovely when I visit. There is a great atmosphere in the home. Lots of daily activities for the residents to join in with. I would be very happy if I ever needed care, if I found myself at Acer Lodge, I can't say more than that.

What a wonderful home and great care provided, mum stayed for 2 weeks respite and was welcomed with open arms, made to feel part of everything and so well looked after - a huge thankyou to everyone involved. After looking for respite care for some time, Acer lodge was recommended and didn't disappoint, from the welcome for mum, a lovely room, fabulous cleanliness throughout, food to suit every palate and plenty of snacks and treats to the amazing team who work there and are so brilliant. Can't thank and praise you enough ( and the entertainment with Tony is outstanding )

Very happy with the care Acer Lodge other, my mum has gained another lease of life since she's been here. The entertainment and activities are excellent and my Mum enjoys them too. She also loves the food that is on other here which is cooked from fresh.

My mother has received excellent professional care during her stay at The Maples. Even more importantly she has always been treated with respect and consideration. She has been made to feel part of a community and has made friends with many of the staff. Thank you for your outstanding help in making my mother feel comfortable and valued.

Lovely clean purpose built facility. The organised activities are very engaging and entertaining with excellent caring staff.When visiting if there are no activities I feel that sometimes there are too few staff in the day room to support all the residents needs or any confrontations when they occur.

Thank you for the dilligent care afforded to my parents (mom and step dad) since they came to you. Having them in a clean, safe new facility means alot. All the staff from the manager to all the service staff are to be commended for their friendly caring approach. As will all things in life, problems do occur but these have been dealt with expeditiously and caringly.

Terrific staff - the team were always super helpful, caring & cheerful. My mother was delighted with her stay for respite care. Lots of activities, great food and lovely rooms.

Been to the home to visit my sister-in-law many times. Found the staff lovely and helpful. Acer Lodge is very welcoming an clean. It's a pleasure to visit.

But our fears were laid to rest from meeting firstly the lovely Manageress and Deputy Lianne and Jo, how loving and proud they are of the Home, then from the wonderful Rebecca on reception and Jayne at Admin not forgetting all the wonderful Team Members that were getting to know making so far my Moms stay relaxing and so enjoyable and most of all safe and looking after all her needs.

My Dad was looked after very well at Acer Lodge. He had complex care needs which were met in full by the nurses and carers with sensitivity and kindness. When he became ill and needed end of life care the team were able to manage this with dignity and compassion. He died peacefully. The managers, nurses and care staff were always polite, attentive and addressed all the family's concerns. His room was very comfortable, private and well equiped. We were able to make it homely for him. He was very happy to be looked after in Acer Lodge.
