We were very anxious about Mum starting at the home and leaving her home but the staff have been wonderful and have relieved a huge amount of anxiety which rested upon us.
Mum already seems happy and relaxed in her newfound VIP status!
Now back to the cake and coffee..
Thank you so much

from the moment Mum moved into Lake View Lodge, She was treated with kindness and compassion. The staff and facilities are fantastic and the difference in Mum has been amazing. In just a week, she has become more alert, eating wonderfully prepared food and joining in with organised activities. I cannot
thank all the staff enough for the personalised care Mum is receiving and the friendly welcome they have given to myself and Mum's family.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They treat my mother with respect. They do their best to cater for individual needs and preferences. They make time to get to know visitors too. They help foster friendships between the residents. They encourage social activities. We took advantage of part deferred
payment while a house was being sold which was very useful.

My mother spent 6 weeks respite at Furze Field Manor after being hospitalised with a serious illness. From the start all the staff were so kind, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully appointed and with the feel of a 5 star hotel Furze Field has such a lovely happy atmosphere
and I can't recommend it enough for the care it provides.

Furze Field Manor

from M H (Nephew of Resident) published on 11 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My aunt moved to Furze Field Manor after living in a care home in Haywards Heath for just over a year. Our experience there meant we were apprehensive about a new care home but our fears have been quick dispelled. Furze Field Manor is excellent. Everything about it is new and fresh. The standard of
care so far seems excellent and is in a different league to the previous home. Staff genuinely care. They take time to get to know their residents. They work hard to encourage residents to make friends. My relative isn't just left in a chair and ignored, which typified our previous experience.
The rooms and decor are immaculate. Really superb interior design. They are also kept spotless, and unlike our previous experience, clothes are respectfully and thoughtfully put away, so my relative can easily make her own clothes choices. The housekeeping standards are top class. Food: outstanding.
Activities are a work in progress but not too bad so far. Management responsive.
Overall very good.

Reply from Jacquie Ferguson, General Manager at Furze Field Manor

Thank you for your amazing review and for choosing Furze Field Manor to take care of your Aunt. It is so nice to hear how we've been able to make a difference and support you all in having to make that tough decision about the need to make a move into a care setting. Thank you from the entire team for choosing Furze Field Manor, I will pass on your kind words to all the team.

It is with sadness and massive thanks that I write this review on behalf of our Mum, who sadly passed away on February 10th 2025.
Mum arrived as resident no.7, in July 2024 for respite care and she never left! It is easy to think they are just a number but from the moment she arrived, it was her
home, a vibrant community life and with people who care. It is fair to say, she loved every minute and the biggest credit we can give all the fantastic team members, is that they gave our mum a will to live, at a time when she questioned why and didn't want to be a burden on anyone.
If we heard it once .... she told us every day ....
"They can't do enough for you in here!"
So thank you from the family.

When visiting my Grandma, the staff have always been friendly and accommodating (and constantly feeding me cake). The facilities are absolutely fantastic and highly overachieve in comparison to other homes I've visited! The care customers receive is amazing and my Grandma has been happy whenever I've
visited. The rooms are equal to a 5 star hotel stay. I would highly recommend their services to any and all who need it.

Totally happy with the care that my mother is getting.Staff are all very kind and helpful. It was a very difficult decision for us to put her into a home but since her dementia got worse we were unable to keep her at home. The care home had only 7 residents when she moved in and she settled in straight
away.

When my sister was suddenly in need of care we visited many care homes and Rownhams Manor stood out and was exactly care she needed. They are very friendly and are able to cater for all her needs. She has her own ensuite and the bedroom is large enough so she can use her walking stick with out clashing
with the furniture. She likes the small dining rooms to eat in and the communal areas have plenty of chairs to sit in, they also have small rooms to talk to your family in. All in all, a lovely environment.

Our family cannot praise Somer Valley House highly enough.
The Home itself is new and stylish to the point of being luxurious. Mum's en-suite room is spacious, beautifully appointed and with an extremely comfortable bed. The daily menu is varied with good options and the food is of a high quality.
Most important of all though, each and every member of staff at Somer Valley House has just been so very friendly, kind, helpful and caring towards Mum which helped her settle in initially and which has since made her feel really safe and secure.
We are very grateful for, and appreciative of, everything that the lovely people at Somer Valley House have done for Mum since she moved in back in January 2025.

Review of

Copperfield Court

from Monica A (Sister of Resident) published on 31 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

When my sister needed respite care after an op, I researched a suitable care home for her. Copperfield Court stood out head & shoulders above the others. A visit confirmed my initial feelings - it was more like a hotel than a care home! The thing that really struck me though was how friendly EVERY
member of staff was. I also noticed the love & care shown to every resident - exactly what I wanted for my sister. She was at Copperfield Court for 3 months & loved it! Staff treated her like a member of their own family rather than a resident. Their philosophy is definitely that they treat residents in exactly the way they'd want their own relative to be treated in a care home...& that extends to visitors. My only problem is that after being totally spoiled by Copperfield Court, my sister now expects a selection of home-made cakes every day, & her clothes washed & ironed within 24 hours!!! Seriously though - I can't say THANK YOU enough to EVERYONE at Copperfield Court. You are my heroes!

Reply from Eve Balcombe, Home Manager at Copperfield Court

Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We are truly delighted to hear about your sister's positive experience at Copperfield Court. It is our utmost priority to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all our residents, and it's wonderful to know that our efforts have made such a significant impact on your sister's recovery. We take great pride in our staff, and your recognition of their dedication and care means the world to us. It's gratifying to hear that your sister felt like a member of our family during her stay. We strive to treat every resident with the love and respect they deserve, and it's rewarding to know that this philosophy resonates with our visitors as well.As for the home-made cakes and prompt laundry service, we're glad to have spoiled her! It's a testament to the care and attention we provide, and we hope to continue exceeding her expectations.Thank you once again for your kind words.
