Since I became a resident at Blenheim House last November I have been very happy with the service I receive. The staff are helpful, efficient & cheerful and there is an interesting programme of activities. My husband was here for a year before he died and as I said at his funeral, we were both very
grateful for the love & care we received then.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a touching review. We love having you living here as part of our Blenheim House family and are delighted you got to spend such happy times with your husband whilst he was a resident here too.

Firstly apologies,it's definitely taken me way to long to get round to doing this,
My Dear mum was a resident here for 17 months,
I cannot stress it absolutely was the perfect place for her,
Environment, from the moment you step in you are greeted with a smile and an awaiting coffee, the care home
is immaculate, looks stunning and everyone is so very friendly,to both residents and visitors.
Hospitality, there is always a good selection at meal times and they offer other options too.
The spreads they prepare for events are eye watering.
Care, mum received 24 hour care(I know I was there)
From moment mum woken to bedtime, whilst being mindful of both her dignity and independence.
The bedrooms are ensuite and comfortable.
A bit now about staff; my mum was when entering extremely withdrawn and quite aloof but staff persevered and mum came to love them ,they'd hold her hand reassure her and she even began to join in events.
For mum and I they became our best friends our rocks.
Thank you.

I and my husband have had the most excellent support from the staff at Cedar Mews Care Home. I had already chosen the home for respite for my husband because of it's lovely design, atmosphere, expertise and set up. However we reached a crises point and I could not have gone to a better place. Communication
and support has been excellent. There is good access to medical care and advice and I feel all the staff are positive and proactive. It has been a massive relief to me to find such a fantastic source of care and support for my husband.

Flawless and exceeding my expectations. From my first contact with the CRM to discuss the possibility of mum moving here - she immediately put my mind at ease with her professional and kind manner. The carer team are just wonderful - each and everyone of them is so kind, caring, patient and it is very
clear they love their job, the residents and their colleagues. This culture appears very strong and seems to be a results of the team spirit and team leadership. Also huge praise to the head chef.

I recently spent four weeks respite care in Ryefield Court Care Home and thoroughly recommend this lovely home. Everyone was very kind and helpful, always with a smile. Understanding and sympathetic if we were having a 'down' time. The food was very tasty with variety and several choices for each
meal. There was a daily programme of events which we could take part in if we wished, for example Quizzes, chair exercises, arts and crafts and weekly entertainment such as a celebration of St Patrick's Day. A treat too to visit the hairdresser and perhaps have a manicure! A favourite place was the Bistro where we could go for a coffee, or any other drink and delicious cake or, with notice, have lunch with family or friends. What more can I say, just excellent! Thank you everyone.

Shinfield View

from Martin G (Husband of Resident) published on 2 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My wife went into Shinfield View in November 2024, and from the first day I could see that the carers were kind, considerate and understanding. My wife was resident on first floor due to her Dementia diagnosis.
My wife settled in well and enjoyed the food and activities.
I and members of the family
visited regularly and we were always made welcome and kept informed of my wife's wellbeing and activities. One highlight was being able to have lunch in the Bistro with my wife whenever we wished, which she really enjoyed.
As time went on my first impressions of the staff were confirmed they were dedicated, caring, cheerful, and nothing was to much trouble for them.
Sadly my wife's health deteriorated and she required a lot more care, which the staff willingly provided. Sadly my wife passed away in the home on 1st February, and I cannot fault the staffs care from the day that she arrived until her sad passing.

Reply from Tracy Barton, Quality Support and Operations director at Shinfield View

Thank you for your kind words. We are truly honoured to have cared for your wife and are grateful for the trust you placed in us. Our thoughts are with you and your family, and we're glad to have been able to support you during this difficult time. I will be sure to pass your kind words to the whole team.

I'd just like to thank all the staff and management for our treatment over the two weeks. My father was in another care home and I was told he needed to leave that day, I rang Cedars and was greeted with a wonderful member of staff that took away all my pressure, not only did she get him in the next
day but she picked him up and looked after him. My father has dementia and was very calm, happy and content at cedars. The staff, care and amenities are incredible and from start to finish it was a professional and caring experience, I can't actually express in words how happy we all are as a family . A huge thank you to everyone at The Cedars for going above and beyond you truly are all amazing .

A kindly gentle atmosphere for most of the time. I am made to feel special - cared for. All the carers are kind and gentle - there are several outstanding ones whom I will be sad to say goodbye to when the time comes. I think one member of staff, in particular, looks very tired at times - so we must
care for him while we can. The brilliant leader in every way - kind, considerate, gentle; we are so fortunate to have his wisdom with us nearly everyday. He is so wise - so caring - so strong; I have learned many things from him - all helpful and full of warmth. It has been a privilege to know so many special people - including the kind lady who taught us all we know.

My cousin moved to Cumnor Hill House in December 2024 and the staff could not have been better at supporting both her and me during the move. They made sure that she felt welcomed and took extra time to help her understand the routines. She really enjoys the different activities, especially the dementia
choir. Whenever I visit, I too am made welcome. We have enjoyed sharing lunch and high tea in the Bistro area which is a lovely place to sit and chat. It is a great relief to me and my brother that she is well cared for, content and enjoying life as much as she can. Thank you all the staff.

Blenheim House Care Home

from H S (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Mother was looked after at Blenheim house following Chemotherapy and a fall. The care she received was exemplary, not only was her medical needs taken care of but the team at Blenheim went above and beyond to make sure she was happy and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble.
They welcomed family
and friends when visiting with open arms and warm hospitality.
My Mother has since returned to her home to live independently, without the care from the Blenheim House for three months, this would have been unthinkable.
So thank you for all your kindness, support and efforts you give each of the residents in your care and for making the transition from hospital to care home so easy, especially when so many family members are in a state of distress at a difficult time.

My 90 year old mum moved into Leycester House in May 2024 when she was struggling badly, both mentally and physically. Almost immediately we saw a drastic improvement in her well-being. Her comfortable room is on the nursing floor and the level of care and nursing is superb. She has a great relationship
with the nurses/carers. She looks and acts 20 years younger. The admin/reception/catering staff I've come into contact with are lovely. The private dining room and bar area are attentive. The events organised are frequent and varied. It is a really happy place to visit. I've got my mum back and want to thank everyone at Leycester House for making that happen.

We are so happy with the care our dad has been receiving at Ryefield Court Care Home. Since his stay here, he has come such a long way, and it's all thanks to the dedication of the entire team. From the carers and hospitality staff to the chefs and management, everyone has been there not only for Dad
but for our whole family. Finding Ryefield was the best decision-we've seen such a positive change in his quality of life. He now calls Ryefield his home, and we couldn't be more grateful.
