I spent 2 weeks at Shinfield View following surgery to remove a kidney. After 2 visits to familiarise myself with the setting I was confident that I had chosen the right place for my post operative care and recovery.
My expectations were surpassed. I had a lovely spacious room with an outlook to the
garden and a door which allowed me access to the garden. The staff were excellent. They were attentive, friendly, caring and efficient.
The whole atmosphere was supportive and I felt at home very quickly. I had several visitors who were always welcomed whatever the time and often joined me for a meal.
The food was excellent. There was always a good choice and it was tasty and nutritious.
I was supported with my recovery and accompanied to visits with my GP.
All in all this was an excellent experience which enabled me to recover well.
My thanks to the wonderful staff who cared for me so well.

If you are looking for a care or nursing home, stop looking. You won't find one better than Leyceater House. We looked - trust me we looked everywhere! We wanted for Dad to go home and it was a massive deciuson for us, even though we had no choice because his needs are so high. Leyceater House was
the only one we wanted Dad to go to and they co.pketely understood how hard it was.The management is excellent and has chosen and works with a simply unsurpassable team. Our Dad comes first, he care staff are compassionate, kind and experienced. They exceptional because the management is exceptional. I would wholeheartedly without reservation recommend Leycester House and thank them all from the bottom of my heart for their kindness and care - oh and the food is amazing!

Cedar Mews Care Home

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
My elderly mum moved to the dementia floor at Cedar Mews from another care home at the beginning of May. Unfortunately, she had a serious fall on her first night in their care and was admitted to A&E. When she was discharged, Cedar Mews staff assured us they could provide the care she needed but although
many of the carers were extremely hardworking and dedicated, there were many times during my visits when I struggled to find any carers to respond to her needs, or any senior staff to discuss my concerns with. I had to initiate communication regarding her medical needs with the GP myself as I received no feedback from staff unless I specifically asked for it. Although I raised my concerns with the manager it took weeks to get a response and I was disappointed that I was not given the chance to discuss the issues with her at the time. As a result of my experiences, I decided to move my mum after 3 weeks at Cedar mews to a new nursing home to make sure she received safe and adequate care

My mother moved to Blenheim house initially on respite and then became a permanent resident, requiring full nursing care. Throughout her stay the nursing care she received was second to none both from a medical and personal perspective. She was treated with kindness, dignity and respect throughout
her stay. The daily interactions with staff, lifted her with them having bespoke 1-1 times scheduled with her and when able, she loved the various activities, music events, visits from therapy horses to mention but a few that the events team plan.

The behind the scenes team were very helpful in resolving any queries and providing support to myself whilst moving my mother into care. The front of house welcome to any visitors, day or night was warm and welcoming.

It was good to see mum laugh and enjoy her interaction with her carers, who she was very fond of. Blenheim House gave us back our Mother and daughter time, for which I am and will always be grateful.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Dad moved into Leycester House in September 2022 as he was no longer able to manage his Parkinsons medication by himself. He'd been a widower for 6 years & had coped admirably but watching him walk into his new home/bedroom with a small suitcase was heartbreaking for my brothers and I. He looked
lost and bereft.
He ended up staying for 3 years until his passing at the start of September 2025 where Parkinsons finally engulfed him.
Leycester House's biggest asset is without question its staff. There are probably nursing homes with plusher facilities, maybe even a more up market menu but I defy anybody to find me a home with more caring, loving, appreciative, engaging and warm staff. He felt loved and completely safe within days and that never ever changed.
My brothers and I will forever be grateful to the team and will never forget their kindness and in particular over his last days. Leycester House was his home just as his bungalow was & his farm before that. Thank you

My mother has been a resident of Badminton Place for nearly 4 years. The quality of the care she is receiving is excellent. Beyond excellent!! Her needs are high (she's on the high dependency floor) and demanding but the carers administer their care with sensitivity, kindness, compassion and good dollop
of humour.
The building is excellent and very well designed. The food is 5 stars. Although my mother doesn't take part in activities, the energy put into keeping residents entertained is superb.
In the early days, one criticism would have been poor administration but this has improved noticeably since Kay took over that area.
Thank you to all the staff for doing such a great job.

My mum initially came in for respite when we needed to move her from her home , it was the only home who was willing to help us urgently . The customer relations manager did everything she could to make sure my mum could be moved that day into Cedar, and she was. The home is beautiful , definitely more
the posh hotel feel. You're welcomed by a mass of professional and friendly staff every day and these are the same faces , this was really important to us with my mum having Alzheimer's we wanted her to see the same staff and she does . There is nothing this home won't do , they've accommodated my Dad visiting ,who also has Alzheimer's which has been beyond beneficial for him and so helpful to all our family . My mum has settled so well here . I did look at other homes and not one compares even marginally to Cedar Mews . We love it and most importantly my Mum loves it .

My grandmother spent nearly two years living at Burcot Grange, and I can't thank the team enough for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they showed her (and us) throughout that time.
The work you do in bringing comfort, dignity, and joy to residents in their final months and years is nothing
short of incredible. We are so grateful for everything you've done for my grandmother and for us as a family.
Thank you all - we hope to see you again sometime soon.

Thank you so much to the brilliant staff at Ryefield court who looked after my Mum for the last 4 years. She was so happy to be a resident there and the care and friendship you provided meant the world to her. I cannot recommend Ryefield Court highly enough. The staff and carers, the daily activities
and the brilliant chefs who catered to her many dietary requirements, each and every one of you does a fantastic job.

The 2 weeks of care were excellent. The activities my wife really enjoyed. She ate all her meals, so she must have enjoyed the food. My wife loved the staff and the care they provided. There was just a small matter of a couple of pairs of jeans missing.
