This care home has proved to be a most welcoming and inclusive place. I regularly visit my friend who has made this her permanent home. The staff here are excellent, treating service users with respect and dignity and catering for their individual needs. Any problems or queries visitors may have are
dealt with promptly and reassurance given. The administrative staff and those coordinating activities are always keen to give the best possible experiences to the residents and are open to suggestions for new ideas to stimulate all within the care home environment.
Reply from Kiran Chaggar-Smith, Home Admissions at Burcot Grange Care HomeThank you very much for taking the time to share such thoughtful and positive feedback. My overally experience has been very good. I was not very happy when I first came to Burcot Grange because I had lost my husband after a long illness and none of my relatives were helping me. The staff here are all very kind and helped me through. They are all very approachable and I feel this is my
home. Nothing is too much trouble and we have fun.
Reply from Kiran Chaggar-Smith, Home Admissions at Burcot Grange Care HomeThank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and how difficult that time was for you. We are honoured that you chose Burcot Grange as your home during such a challenging period. It means a great deal to know that our staff were able to support you, help you feel settled, and be there for you when you needed kindness and understanding the most. Hearing that you now feel at home, supported, and able to enjoy yourself reassures us that we are doing the right things. Your kind words about our team being approachable and caring will be shared with them, as feedback like this motivates us to continue providing the best possible care. Thank you for trusting us and for being such a valued part of the Burcot Grange family.

I moved my Wife into Ryfield Court at the very end of February. Since she has been there she appears calmer and at ease with the other residents and joins in on the activities provided. Both my Son and I are so happy with the move. The staff are second to none and really provide the care that she needs
which gives us peace of mind, The home itself offers so many facilities and is kept immaculate. There is a very nice garden for the residents to enjoy in the better weather. We cannot fault it in any way and would strongly recommend it to anyone.
Reply from Madge Wang, General Manager at Ryefield CourtThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We're truly delighted to hear that your wife has settled in so well and is feeling calm, comfortable, and engaged with life at Ryfield Court. It means a great deal to us that both you and your son feel happy and reassured with the move. Providing high-quality, compassionate care is at the heart of everything we do, so your feedback about our team and the environment we maintain is greatly appreciated and will be shared with all the staff. We're especially pleased that your wife is enjoying the activities and making the most of the facilities and garden-it's wonderful to know she feels at home. Thank you again for your recommendation and for trusting us with your wife's care.

My husband went into Cumnor Hill House for a week respite care. He was quite anxious about going into care for a week but the staff at Cumnor Hill House was so welcoming and helpful that he came back home quite happy from the experience. I can't praise their caring and attention to detail highly enough.
As you walk in you are welcome with a warm smile and every body is prepared to help if needed. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff for looking after him so well.

It is hard to put into words just how good Leycester House is. It's not just the incredibly caring and friendly team, or the lovely ambience of the home itself, it's more the willingness to go the extra mile to make things work for your relative and their needs at the time. Nothing is too much trouble
for the staff if it will improve the quality of life or care for the resident. It is not just the Carers that care, all the staff, be they housekeeping, hostess, maintenance or management, take the time and trouble to stop and chat, offer to help and give a feeling of support. I never imagined my Mother having to be in a care home but I also never imagined there would be a care home quite like Leycester House where I would be happy for her to live, confident that she is looked after properly, professionally and with genuine kindness. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to visit Leycester House and see for yourself what a Care Home can be like when they get it right.

I would highly recommend Leycester House, my father moved in, in November 2025. I visited several care homes in the area and thought that their approach would suit our needs the best. They made the whole experience of moving Dad into the home a perfect experience. All the staff are superb; they are
friendly, engaging and compassionate, they welcomed Dad and settled him in so quickly. I can't thank them enough for welcoming him and us in their fabulous community.

First impressions impressive, staff very welcoming and interested in guests. Atmosphere calm and friendly. Service efficent but not overwhelming. Required medical help and medications arrive 'on the dot' with advice freely given when requested. Some food requests not as speedy as could be, but improving.
That's the only 'niggle'. First impressions of costs seem high but the value becomes apparent as time passes. Happy!!
Reply from Madge Wang, General Manager at Ryefield CourtThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We're delighted to hear that your first impressions were so positive and that our team made you feel welcome and well cared for and your loved one. It's especially reassuring to know that you found the atmosphere calm and our service both efficient and supportive, particularly when it came to medical care. Your comments mean a great deal to us. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the timing of some food requests. We're actively working on improving this area, and your input helps us continue to raise our standards. Thank you again for your trust and for sharing your experience. We're very pleased to know that, overall, you feel happy with the care and value provided.

My mother, who suffers from dementia has been living at Leycester House for the last 18 months. Mum previously lived on her own and made the move due to a fall and her dementia diagnosis.
After researching a number of care homes my sister, mum and I chose Leycester House, which has proven to be an
excellent decision. The Team led by Josh are brilliant, really communicative, always greet you with a smile and most importantly provide great support and care to the residents.
Mum enthusiastically participates in the numerous activities and entertainment put on every week, she particularly looks forward to getting her hair done at the salon and organised trips out. The Home is spotless and there are always plenty of staff on duty. Mum was nervous to go into Leycester House and care, but is happier than she has been in years. I know my mum is being well looked after and is happy, you can't ask for more than that.

From the day my father moved in, I had a sense that Leycester House was going to be the right place for him. The stated person-centred approach is clearly not just words - staff show a genuine interest in my father and treat him with dignity, kindness and respect. He required intensive support initially,
which was delivered with compassion and professionalism, but his independence was encouraged wherever possible. The staff all seem to take great pride in what they do, whatever their roles, and there is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the home with lots going on. My father is invited to get involved, but there is never any pressure to do so. As family members, we have been actively welcomed as partners in my father's care and encouraged to visit as often as we like. Thank you, Leycester House.

I would describe Portobello Place as an excellent care home. It has comfy spacious bedrooms, lovely dining room and beautiful open spaces for entertainment and socialising. The staff are caring and attentive. They care for each individual, meeting their needs and encouraging and facilitating them to
be the best they can be. Our own experience is that my aunt was in poor health when she arrived 1 year ago, needing 2 carers and maximum help. She is now walking and taking part in many of the activities. She is now sleeping, eating and healthier than she has been during the past 2 years.

I would highly recommend Leycester House to anyone looking for a caring and professional home for their loved one. As a family, we visited several homes in the area while searching for the right place for our mum, and we found Leycester House to be exceptional in its patient-centred approach to meeting
each resident's individual needs.
The entire team is attentive and aware of Mum's specific needs, and from the moment she arrived they supported her with kindness and patience. They helped her settle in during what was a very difficult and emotional time for our family, providing reassurance and compassionate care throughout.
As a family, we are kept regularly updated about Mum's care, and staff have been very supportive in involving us in any decisions relating to her care and wellbeing. Although it is still early days for Mum at Leycester House, we already feel reassured that she is safe, comfortable, and being very well cared for.

Having visited Blenheim House regularly for six years, I confirm that currently it maintains a high standard in care and environment. All staff do their best to ensure residents' needs are met, which in some cases must be a test of patience. The staff turnover is not as frequent as in the past, this
must benefit residents & Berkley. Section headed "facilities" is slightly marked down as I have no real experience of some to compare it with but ideally it should be between 'Good & excellent.'
