My husband was admitted to Portobello a couple of months ago as his physical needs had become too much for me to manage at home. I was very reluctant to make this move but have found all the senior staff to be very sympathetic & knowledgeable which has made the process easier. Carers and all the other staff are all very kind, endlessly patient and skilled, catering and cleaning staff included. Food is very good, plentiful and freshly cooked. Individual requests can be made. Catering staff very open to suggestions. Visitors are welcomed anytime and visiting hours are flexable

Burcot Grange continues to care for me in a way that feels like home from home. All of the care staff without exception have got to know me and are always respectful of my wishes and care needs. The food is excellent and the catering staff allow for my taste and special beverages. I go to a range of activities in the home and have been taken to a garden centre in the wheelchair safe mini bus - i do still enjoy the whole business of gardening. My budgie is a good companion and i have taught him a few words. He is now part of this friendly family atmosphere.

As a family visiting our dear Relative at Jubilee House we all agree the home is outstanding. The staff (all of them) are really knowledgeable and friendly and they make us feel welcome. The rooms are 5 Star hotel rooms and the bathrooms are stunning. The hallways are very posh. The Food 'Wow' what a super choice of delicious meals, we have eaten with our relative on Sundays and it is very good and the desserts are even better.
I didn't know Care homes existed like this but Jubilee House stands out from the rest. Who doesn't want to be spoilt in their retirement years? Outstanding!! Myself, Matt and Irene are all planning to move in together x

There has never been any other choice of Care Home for my husband. Recommended by a paramedic, the level of care it provides is second to none. However, this has been an extremely trying month for everyone - residents, families and carers alike, simply because of the extreme temperatures we have all suffered. I have been amazed at the tireless dedication of the staff. The carers have been watchful that their vulnerable residents have remained healthy, cared for, well fed and hydrated throughout. Naturally it has been difficult to provide any outside activities, but whenever possible walks, short trips were provided. I think that everyone is now pleased with the new renovations and that the building work is complete.

This is a lovely care home. Not only did the staff care well for mum at a difficult time for the family, they also looked after and supported us. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the start. They kept us fully informed during mum's stay and they involved us in decision making. Mum stayed in a lovely bright room that led onto the garden. She told us that the staff were kind and that she loved the manicures and massages she was given. Oh, and the homemade brownies are delicious!

Thank you very much for your lovely review, this means a lot to the whole team your kind words regarding Portobello Place and our lovely caring staff team.
Our Beauty Therapist facials and massages are truly amazing, staff have experienced the treatments themselves in our staff wellbeing day we hold twice a year and as for the Brownies I have to agree they are delicious!

I stayed for 2 weeks after a total knee replacement - arriving on my Birthday. Greeted by many staff with flowers cake and buntin - what a warm welcome. My stay gave me the confidence to recover from surgery - nothing was too much trouble from any of the staff they made sure things were what I was used to and wanted. Even to my lemon water at breakfast time. The activities were good each day keeping residence in touch with the world. My visitors were always made welcome - even my daughters dog. I would and have recommend anyone to stay - either short term or long term.
Thank you everyone for making my stay so memorable.
