My mother was in Milliner House for 4 1/2 years. Throughout, she was treated with kindness, compassion and respect. I have nothing but praise for all the staff involved in her care.

We cannot thank the team at this wonderful care home enough. From the moment we arrived to visit our sister, we were welcomed like royalty - greeted with genuine warmth, kindness, and even a lovely lunch. The manager and her staff show such love and compassion in the way they look after our sister, treating her not just with professional care but with true affection. It is clear that she is not only safe but also cherished here, which gives us such peace of mind as a family. The hugs, the smiles, and the thoughtfulness from everyone make this unique place feel like a real home. We are so grateful for all that you do.

The manager and her team are all genuinely caring and kind.
They took great care of Mum while she was in their care.
As a resident you are very well looked after, mum was assigned a designated person, who took time to get to know mums own specific care needs, but all the staff were lovely.
Milliner house organised trips out for Christmas shopping, had entertaining events, like the Elvis impersonator in the summer.
All the facilities are clan and modern and the management are very receptive if you need to discuss anything.

Less a care home, more a very caring home.

The staff made a massive effort for Christmas and setting lunch tables with Christmas tablecloths and napkins. It looked lovely.
It's a shame I cannot add a picture to show their efforts made.

All staff are great at what they do. Well done Milliner House.

Review from G F (Brother of Resident) published on 1 October 2024 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My brother has been in Milliner House since May 2024. We cannot fault the care he has been given. He was taken firstly to a different care home in March 2024 where we were not happy with his care. He wasn't given the opportunity to leave a physiotherapist to help with his mobility and wasn't encouraged enough to get out of bed to get exercised. As soon as he was moved to Milliner House he was given any support he needed and with the help of a physio has his mobility back and is able to go home. We are very grateful to the manager and her staff.

After a previous respite experience that wasn't so good at a different home, we were a little nervous but Mum's experience here has been very good. The staff were friendly but professional, caring and considerate. Mum's mobility has improved due to their encouragement. She has enjoyed her stay and I would recommend to all.

The care provided for my mum has been nothing less than first class. From the management through to the team on the shop floor, every single one has treated my mum with kindness, patience and compassion. I have honestly developed a newfound respect for workers in the care industry since witnessing the care and dedication shown by all members of staff here.

Every time we visit my brother we always find clean and comfortable surroundings. All the staff, including the cleaners and kitchen staff, are always helpful and obliging. We are always offered refreshments and if near a mealtime we are offered a meal. I can't fault any of the staff, which at times must be very challenging. They are a credit to the home and you should be very proud of them all.
