My mum just spent 12 nights at Priory House and the stay has transformed her. When she arrived she was very weak, very tentative about standing and very uninterested in anything other than staying in bed. After just a few days she was walking with a stick and interacting. The staff were absolutely lovely, always very friendly and welcoming from the minute she arrived and always very friendly with me as I visited. They responded immediately to my concerns and called me with updates. The occupational therapist has worked wonders with her with a very varied and inventive day routine encouraging her to be more mobile and interact with other residents. Rooms are nice and food very good. So glad mum was able to stay here and very grateful to care staff and the occupational therapist for the difference they have made to mum's recovery.

My mum has just recently had a 2 week stay in Priory House having intense physiotherapy after breaking her hip just before Christmas. All the staff treated her with the utmost respect and dignity and with the individual care and attention she received she is now on the road to recovery at long last. Would be nice if rehab patients had something to do other than watch tv when not having physio. Books, word puzzles, puzzles, even lego to stimulate them rather than just fall asleep in front of the tv. Each room was meant to have a working tv but mum's didn't. Is still a relatively new scheme so still a learning curve. Name badges for staff would be nice as when bombarded with lots of new faces elderly people find it hard to remember names. Makes it easier to praise or criticise too. Many thanks again to all concerned with mum's care.
