Mum has been at Woodside for nearly a year. It's a lovely home, it feels like a family and all the staff are wonderful. Mum has various issues and can be difficult but the carers are understanding and patient. Communication is very good and I am always informed of any concerns or information that needs to be shared about mum or the home. It's a great comfort to know she is so well looked after.
Thank you so much for your kind and generous words. It truly means a great deal to all of us at Woodside to know that you feel reassured and supported, and that your mum is happy and well cared for.
We are very proud of our team and the compassion, patience, and understanding they show...
This month, we have just used them for day care. Satisfactory, very helpful staff. The home needs to make some improvements to make wheelchair access easier!!
Thank you for your review.
We take on board your suggestions to which this is something Woodside Lodge are continuously working on. We are wheelchair accessible but we understand that as we are not purpose built a lot of modern electric wheelchairs/ scooters have exceeded beyond the...
Excellent
Thank you Dennis, this review means a lot to us all at Woodside.
Best wishesCharlotte and the Team
Caring staff. The home is lovely and is run well by the manager and her team. I am happy and safe here. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Thank you so much for your lovely review it means a lot to us all at Woodside Lodge!
My nan has not long joined Woodside Lodhe and what can I say! Amaizng caring staff, food is exceptional, the home is very clean and I always receive a warm welcome! The choice of activities are great and I like that the carers take time to engage with the residents, especially my nan. Don't always believe what you read because honestly I couldn't recommend Woodside enough!
Thank you for your kind words, this means a lot to us all at Woodside. Best Wishes the Team
I have been a resident at Woodside Lodge for many years. All the staff have been very kind and supportive whilst I have been here. The food has always been very good. The activities are well led, however I don't always take part.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it means so much to us all at Woodside Lodge. Best Wishes the Team
My friend has been at the care home since April 2024, a difficult man but the staff settled him in brilliantly and now he is a different person, thanks to the care and devotion from all the staff. They continually update you on all aspects of their care, which is satisfying. The home is always clean, tidy and smells fresh. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and always accommodating, not only to the residents but to everyone who visits. I was concerned about my friend at the beginning, but after a couple of months my concerns were soon turned to contentment. A big thank you to all the staff.
Dear Margaret, Thank you so much for your lovely review. It means a great deal to all of us at Woodside Lodge. Myself and the team are proud that we are getting things right and of course you and your 'friend' will always be a part of the Woodside family. Best wishes, Manager and all at Woodside.
We were kept informed of all aspects of care with regular telephone updates and face-to-face updates. Nothing was too much trouble and even after the patient came home we receive regular calls to make sure all is well and do we need any support. We have had more support from Woodside Lodge than we received from the hospital and the GP.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It mean so much to us and of course we are always on the end of the phone if ever you need us for advice or a chat. Best wishes, The Team at Woodside.
Woodside Lodge accepted my husband as an urgent admission for respite care. They happily extended, and extended, his respite as I needed more time. The care my husband received and the support I received from all the wonderful staff there was brilliant! The deputy manager, in particular, was a massive support to me as I tried to cope with a rollercoaster of emotions in putting my husband in a home. I only moved my husband elsewhere as he is only 66 and needs more activities and to be nearer to me and a bigger garden to walk around.
Thank you for your lovely review Katie. We were and still are very fond of your husband and wish him and yourself all the best going forward. Your support and faith in us was gratefully received and we are always at the end of the phone if you ever need anything. Best wishes Manager and the Team
I have always found the management and staff to be of excellent standard in all areas of my mother's care. She was not the easiest of residents to care for, manage and look after. Facing all these difficulties, my mother was given the required necessary care and medical treatment when needed. I cannot praise the manager enough for the updates of her condition. She helped organise end-of-life care, and suggested the perfect funeral directors, we are very grateful to all concerned.
Thank you for your heartfelt and kind review Tim. It means so much to us all at Woodside Lodge, your Mum will forever be in our hearts. Best wishes
My mother was only a resident for a few months before she died but in that time she was well cared for by a team of lovely friendly people who always made us feel welcome when we visited.
Thank you for your lovely review. Mum will always be in our hearts.
Best wishes from the Woodside Team
I have visited my friend for about five years and always found the staff and their care excellent.
Best wishes,
The manager and the team.
Mum has settled in very quickly and seems very happy here. All residents are very friendly and also seem happy when we have dropped in. The menu always looks really lovely and there is plenty of choices. Mum's room is really cosy as is the rest of the home. We feel very happy with how our mother has settled in so quickly.
Thank you for your lovely review.
Best wishes.
The manager and all at Woodside Lodge.
The care on offer here is exceptional. Wonderful staff who really treat everyone like family.
We have tried many other care homes (six at the last count) that supposedly offer home from home, but most are just part of large organisations that are more worried about occupancy rates. At Woodside Lodge, this is never the case.
And the events that are organised are always appropriate and everyone is always included.
Best Wishes,
Charlotte and all at Woodside.
Mum has been a resident for just over 3 years and during that time I have visited regularly. I have always found the care home to be cosy and welcoming. There is no constant turnover of staff who remain the same as when Mum entered the home. They do a splendid job!
We are so glad to hear that we are meeting all expectations for your mum.
Best wishes, Charlotte and all at Woodside.
My father was transferred to Woodside Lodge Care Home from an NHS assessment centre. Since arriving in February this year, he has quickly settled in. The staff and management have been fantastic, he considers "this home". He is now gone from a dishevelled old man to looking clean, tidy and well-nourished. He is really happy. He is associating with other residents where previously he had been very insular. I am so pleased as is he. He has a new lease of life.
Thank you for your lovely review Nigel, it means a lot to all of us at Woodside Lodge, we're so pleased that Dad feels at home here. Best wishes, Charlotte and the team.
I see my wife twice weekly and have always seen an immaculate, clean and tidy bed and room. Fresh drink is provided daily. Because of her dementia, she is immobile but remains consistently cheerful.
Best Wishes,
Charlotte and the team.
Mom's needs are all catered for and I feel it's been her home for several years, not a care home. Very happy with the care she gets.
The food is fresh and home cooked.
This is very much Mum's home and always will be.
Best Wishes
Charlotte and all at Woodside Lodge
The staff at Woodside Lodge have always been friendly and approachable and easy to discuss any issues we may have and eased any stress we had which has been very welcome indeed.
I would like to thank them very much for their help on behalf of myself and my sister.
We are so happy to hear we are meeting every aspect of your mum's care.
Best wishes
Charlotte & all at Woodside Lodge.
The staff are excellent and managed by someone who genuinely takes a caring interest in my mother's comfort and well-being. The living room and dining areas are homely and comfortable and I would happily recommend this home to others.
Thank you so much for your kind review, it means a great deal to us all at this time.
Best Wishes
Charlotte & all at Woodside.
