The facility is divided into six small living units that allow staff to focus on particular care needs, while still offering a pleasing social environment.

Places are available for respite care admissions and visitors to the home are made to feel welcome; strong community links allow for a variety of activities and entertainments also.

My mum never wanted to go into a care home but she now requires 24-hour care, so I was very concerned when she finally had to go into a home. She has settled in quite well and so far I am very pleased with the home and the carers. This makes me feel a lot better.

My first reaction was concern to admitting my mother into full-time care. Very quickly those fears were chased away. After interviews with the manager and staff members, it was clear Mum would be in the right place. She is cared for in every way.

My sister and brother-in-law were taken into Fourfields when a fire broke out in the care home where they were residents.
I will always remember the kindness of the manager and staff, how they welcomed them. Everyone at Fourfields bent over backwards to be so caring.
My sister became a real problem with her Alzheimer's. I will never know how they coped with her. My sister became extremely bad, screaming and shouting at everyone.
The patience of the staff was incredible. They were very kind to her. She has since passed away. The day she died I cannot find enough words to say how professional and so sympathetic they were to her husband and me.
I love them all.

My mum was at Fourfields for over two years and it was truly a family environment for her, The staff were more her family than some of her real family. I hold Fourfields in the highest regard and I would have her back there tomorrow if it were possible.

My husband has been in the home for 3 weeks and so far I have been very happy with the care that he has received. It has been a very traumatic time for all the family and the staff at Fourfields have supported us all. My husband's needs are that he needs constant encouragement to participate in life and it was lovely to see him join in with the singing of only for a short while.

Always a good homely atmosphere at Fourfields. Staff and manager are extremely caring. Food is varied and tasty. Plenty of choice of activities. I have been very happy with my mother's care for the year she has been a resident. I would, and have, recommend this care home.

Sadly my mother is no longer with us but the last seven months of her life were spent living at Fourfields which proved to be a truly wonderful care home. From the day mum entered the home after a long stay in the hospital, she was so well cared for and the staff showed nothing but constant love and support. Mum arrived at the home weak, underweight and unable to walk but through their excellent care programme she was soon eating again and the carers worked with her to improve her mobility. These were happy days for mum and the staff were always caring and supportive, showed respect and kindness and they extended this kindness to me too - they felt like family. I just wish mum could have lived long enough to enjoy more years in their care.
