Located in a Tudor-style Grade II listed building, The Hollies is a residential care home, providing 24-hour tailored care for up to 27 residents. Experienced staff strive to provide residents with a relaxed and welcoming environment, ensuring that they feel secure and happy while maintaining their independence and dignity.
Rooms are light and comfortable, with each resident having their own room. They are furnished and decorated to a high standard and residents are encouraged to bring items with them to personalise their rooms. A nurse call system is fitted in all bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge for extra security and peace of mind.
The Hollies has its own experienced chefs who take into consideration individual residents’ food preferences and special dietary requirements. Locally sourced and seasonal foods are used to provide residents with nutritious and tasty meals. Residents are encouraged to share their opinions and often get involved in meal preparation.
The home offers a range of activities to suit individual needs, abilities and interests. This includes gardening, baking, group book and poetry readings, crafts, and music, animal and art therapy. The Hollies also arranges outings for residents to local events and groups in the community, particularly for those who formerly attended local clubs or churches.
