Anchor’s Heathside in Woking, is a purpose-built home supporting up to 51 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle, as well as specialising in dementia care. Heathside is home to residents of different ethnicities and religions, with staff who speak many different languages including Italian, Portuguese, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Polish, Chinese and Nepalese.

The home strives to deliver a range of residential care services, including convalescence care; respite care, and long term care for those who can no longer look after themselves.

Anchor's care team gets to know customers and work with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community. Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements. Meals are cooked fresh and from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible by highly trained chefs and kitchen staff.

Anchor is one of England’s largest providers of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has almost 50 years’ experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people. Anchor reinvests the money made into its retirement properties and care homes, to continually raise standards to provide a high-quality service to surpass customers’ expectations.
