The team provides a Home from Home environment where the needs of each individual are of paramount importance. Professionals provide the best possible care in order to achieve a contented lifestyle and a safe comfortable secure retirement.

NVQ trained and experienced staff provide a high standard of care over 24 hrs.

Staff assess, plan and regularly review care needs, thus ensuring a consistent and appropriate level of care is provided at all times with respect for the rights and choices of the individual. Carers access all necessary support services and all GP surgeries locally.

Homelea values the support and input of all relatives and representatives and encourage residents to participate in community life and the activities within the Home.

The team realise the anxiety experienced when a loved one needs extra care and would welcome a visit to look around and chat about how they may help.

My Mother has been a resident of Homelea for almost 4 years and during that time we have never had any reason to doubt mum's residency. The staff are caring, considerate and kind, very good with all the residents and cheerful and helpful with visitors. The rooms are bright and clean with a home from home feel. The food is cooked on the premises and is excellent. My Mother is now almost 101 and I am sure her longevity is down to the caring staff. My Mother, fortunately, does not have dementia but suffers from severe arthritis and mobility problems, her communication skills are excellent and she says she is well looked after and very happy here. On a personal note, I would like to thank all the staff for taking great care of my much loved Mum and for their welcoming attitude to both myself and my family.

My mother has been a "Homelea" resident since 2009 and I've never had a crossed word with any member of the staff (and I do have crossed words with quite a lot of other people). If Mum herself were to write this review, I know that she would say that she feels safe and valued and happy in the home's environment, and it is her opinion, in the end, that matters most. The staff and management cannot be faulted for their attentiveness, affection and good humour in often difficult circumstances. The fact that the number of residents is relatively small helps to create a homely atmosphere and allows the excellent staff to have close relationships with all the people in their care. I have never lost a moment's sleep worrying that Mum is being in any way neglected. I'm sure the other residents' relatives feel the same way.

Since my previous review, my mother's dementia has deteriorated as she mostly no longer recognises me. The staff have been so patient with my mother's continuous change of mood.

They recognise her desire for independence and will return to helping her to get washed and dressed when she wishes to cooperate. All the staff have also been so understanding to me, helping me to accept the progress of her deteriorating dementia. I never know what mood my mother will be in when I arrive. The staff are always available to help my mother try to enjoy my visit. They are always welcoming. During the years I have been visiting, I have got to know all the residents of the home and also their relatives who visit regularly, which helps when my mother makes a visit difficult.

I have no hesitation in recommending Homelea as a permanent home for a loved one. I leave there after a visit knowing she is being well looked after and in her own way happy in her own world.

Since my uncle has been a resident in Homlea care home we have seen a vast improvement in his health and cleanliness. With regards to his eating habits they have given him a routine and a very good choice of food. When ever we visit him the staff always make you feel welcome and keep you inform and up to date with anything to do with his medical status.
We have peace of mind that someone is always there for him. We feel very lucky to have found this home and i know my uncle is very safe.
