Arlington House has a wonderful Head Chef and chef who produce the most delicious, healthy, freshly cooked meals for residents - with snacks and drinks available throughout the day and night.

My father is a current resident of Arlington House and I am very pleased with the help and support I get from the staff and management with the welfare of my father. As I live at a distance away, the staff and management are my eyes and ears and keep me posted at all times and I have a lot of time for there help towards me. I know if there is a change, somebody will contact me and the conversations I have from time to time do confirm my fathers health and welfare are being taken care of and all IT issues as well. The staff did a good job in the recent heatwaves, as my father was checked on regularly and had a jug fluids at all times.

My aunt has been a resident at Arlington House Care Home since December, 2022 and in all this time I have never heard her say a bad word about her care. Unfortunately I live abroad and have been unable to visit her as often as I would wish but whenever I have, I have seen how well she is cared for. Her medical needs are met and she has told me that she feels 'safe and well cared for and that the staff are kind and patient." Walks or rides in wheelchairs are organized weather permitting and she really appreciates that possibility. Her room is warm and clean and I believe she benefits from the art classes which take place.

Mum has been at Arlington House for 3 years in November. She loves living there and feels very lucky to have her ensuite room on the ground floor. Mum is 91 , an ex nurse who has dementia, is deaf (wears hearing aids) and is registered partially sighted due to macular degeneration. Mum uses a walking frame. I visit every morning and see the owners, manager and of course the nurses/carers. All members of staff are always kind and caring and mum is always greeted with a smile and treated with respect. Any concerns staff have are alway mentioned to me. Her physical and emotional needs are met. She regularly has her hair cut and is seen by a visiting chiropodist. Mum is always clean and tidy, as is her room. She loves the food and is helped to eat if required. Medical practitioners from Wish Park surgery visit regularly. There are regular activities during mornings and afternoons. Mum especially loves singing. Our whole family are very happy that mum is Arlington House.

3months ago I transferred my Mother from a local nursing home she had resided in for nearly 3years to Arlington House. I will not say why I felt the need to move her, only that it was a huge decision to make and it took me along time before I felt totally comfortable that I had chosen the right...
The only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner as she has flourished. With the help of staff she took to the move easily, is calmer in herself and more importantly has found her appetite again, helped by the good traditional home cooked food received daily. The staff/management are very friendly, they work as a passionate caring team and are very accommodating to the extended family as well.

I am posting this review following one I originally wrote in November 2025, which I removed after speaking with one of the co-owners of the home. My initial concern related to communication when visiting a friend who lives there. At times I found communication with staff limited, and discussions with the manager could feel abrupt, leaving me unsure whether concerns were fully acknowledged. After submitting the review, a co-owner contacted me we had a conversation about my concerns, He acknowledged that the manager's communication style could sometimes come across as abrupt, and I removed the review in good faith. However, during a later visit I felt the concerns had not been addressed. In January The manager entered my friend's room and began speaking without knocking or acknowledging the resident. When I later tried to discuss this privately, the manager became confrontational and dismissed my concerns, very unprofessional. My friend has moved to better home. Below standard management.

Following our conversations, I gave you my personal mobile so that you could always reach a member of management rather than feel the only way to start dialogue was to leave a review. We talked at length and I fully appreciated you felt superfluous in your elderly neighbour's life now she had moved to a care home. You may be aware we had a situation where someone visiting your friend had to be escorted off the property and we raised a safeguarding against them. This was a great shame as it ultimately led to your friend having to move home in order for her to maintain that friendship. She explained that he was poorly and that a duty Dr had been called out to see assess him. The call to the Dr was made very quickly and he was prescribed antibiotics for a chest...

Mum had been in Arlington House a year when we went into the first lockdown. She was extremely happy in the home and told me every time I had visited how good they were to her. They locked down early to keep the residents safe and we were grateful for that even though it was hard not to see her. We did get to visit in 2020, but it was hard for her to hear me, 3 foot down a table and wearing a mask, so I write her letters telling her all the family is doing and the manager goes and reads them to her. The staff have been wonderful having to cope with extreme difficulties in the early days of Covid, and the owner got us a pod, so we could see her before Christmas. Presents and little treats have still found their way into her because they are so well organised and take them early so they can be sanitised. She enjoys her food now and eats a meal. Can't praise the staff and owners enough. Excellent care.

Having experienced first hand how Dementia and old age impacted my own father and those close to him I wanted to do something to help others in the same position. With the help and support of my wife, Roxana we set up what was to become a successful and well respected domiciliary care company providing care for our customers in their own homes.
After several years and much thought we took over Arlington House in 2018 as we felt it would suit our more hands-on approach and enable us to be more involved, accessible and supportive of our residents and staff. What has been particularly rewarding is the sense of extended family, not just with our residents and staff but with our residents loved ones as well. We're all in this together!
Since March 2019 and with the support of a dedicated team of staff and our amazing Care Manager Chilie the home has been totally transformed, slowly but surely. We have instilled our ethos of patience, care, empathy and love. To us, “the resident always comes first”. We now have a happy well supported home where our residents know that they are genuinely cared about and that their best interests are at the forefront of everything we do.
We genuinely love what we do, it's far from easy but most things worthwhile rarely are.
The care home lists weekly fees per person between £1,360 and £1,450 for residential care (respite between £1,360 and £1,450) and between £1,360 and £1,450 for residential dementia care (respite between £1,360 and £1,450). Funding accepted: Self-Funding (Private), Local Authority with Top-up, Local Authority, NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC).
