Every time I visit all seems good. The staff seem very pleasant and polite. The lady on reception always goes over and above to help me in whatever I ask. Nothing appears to be too much trouble as the staff always seem very busy.

The care, support and welfare my Father receives at Astonleigh is very good, he has been at the care home for several years now. All of the staff and management treat my Father with respect and integrity for which my brother and I are very grateful for. The facilities and the rooms are clean and kept tidy, the food is always freshly prepared and if there are any dietary requirements they are always catered for. My Father is happy there and has built a loving relationship with all of the staff and this is very good to see, knowing that he is being looked after and cared for. I would like to thank everyone at Astonleigh for their hard work and care shown to all of your residents.

Since Mum came to you in November I feel very happy as all the staff are wonderful, Mum's had a few issues but they have been dealt with very quickly. Everyone is so helpful and happy in themselves, really a nice home, Mum loves her room.

Very pleased with the care that my husband is receiving. He has dementia and has been in Ashtonleigh Care Home since February 2022. The only problem I have is that he is often wearing someone else's clothes, although all his clothes have his name on them.

My husband seems to be very happy at the home, but on visiting I have found that his bed is wet in the late afternoon still from the morning, I've also had to change his bed myself and also wash him by hand, on more than one occasion, think that I would like to see him showered at the very least once a day, and would hope that his bed should never be left wet from morning till night.

My Brother and I have been very impressed and pleased with the way Mum is cared for at Ashtonleigh. The staff are always very cheerful, kind and caring, and they work well together as a team. They keep us involved and well informed of Mum's welfare, and it's good to know she is in a safe place. It feels like the right place for Mum to be, and she seems to have settled well - she is always telling me how she loves the food. I know I always feel very welcome there when I'm able to visit.

The carers and support staff are excellent. Very caring. The home itself is always warm and comfortable with cheery staff, very good food and always kept clean and tidy. The residents and visitors are made to feel welcome and one of the family. There are always things to do for the residents for motivation and periodic entertainment.

Our experience over the last 18 months has been excellent. The care home is very friendly which is how my mum likes it. The staff are very caring, obliging and willing to help with everything. The staff always keep us well informed with any health issues, and activities in the home The atmosphere in the home is always very welcoming to visitors at all times. My mum is very happy and content and we rest easy knowing she is very well taken care of. The meals are excellent and well presented. Cleaning and hygiene are also very good. The entertainment is usually good.

I am absolutely over the moon with the care my mum has within this home. The staff are very professional, caring and loving individuals, especially at this dreadful time of the corona virus outbreak they have all been so kind and hard working to make sure our family members are kept safe. I have nothing but empathy and respect for all for them. Well done you wonderful people I, for one, know that my mum is in safe hands thank you.

My mother was a resident at Ashtonleigh for almost seven years and I have nothing but praise for the care and affection she was shown by all those who work there. Whenever I visited, it was abundantly evident that the carers treated all the residents with great compassion and respect. Although I live for many months a year abroad, communication was excellent. Emails would be answered promptly and they would call me if there was something that needed urgent action.
The end-of-life care given to my mum was simply amazing. It was so reassuring for me to know that everything was done to ensure that she was so well looked after during her final days. She reached the age of 96 and passed away due to the frailty of old age, testament itself to the excellent care she received.

I can recommend Ashtonleigh without reservation.

Sadly I had to make the choice for my mum to go into care, I changed my mind so many times until it became dangerous for her to be left in her home. I’d been to see a few homes and each time I walked out with a heavy heart. “I couldn’t leave her there” I kept saying. Until I randomly walked into Ashtonleigh after a friend said go. I felt I walked into a family home, I could honestly say I could live there myself let alone my beloved mum. The feel of the home from the reception to each and every member of staff - managers, nurses, carers, kitchen, cleaners, activities - all absolutely amazing and caring. My mum has quite complex needs and each one is met. They’ve even managed to make a social butterfly of her as she loves the company and activities eg the singing they put on. My mum is safe and cared for, that’s all anyone could ask for. Doctors visits to getting her hair done. I can leave there knowing she is looked after and the guilt I felt has gone.

Visited from the US to a patient (resident) with whom I have kept in touch.
I knew he had fallen and suspected a possible stroke but I didn't know and wondered about his future so I came to visit.

I was quite impressed with the attentive and personal care the resident is receiving. It feels nice and homely with caring and attentive staff working with challenging individuals needing a broad variety of attention.

Thanks for the positive feedback about the care, the staff and the management but are shocked that this is the first time our facilities have been scored at 3 as we have plenty of communal areas, new lounges, cinema rooms and newly built wings. Thus really query this low score.

Astonleigh has an extremely friendly feel to the home. When we decided Mum could no longer live independently we looked at several other homes. Astonleigh was well above the standard of the others we saw. Mum has settled in well at Astonleigh and we are as a family so pleased with the care she receives, the room and the facilities available. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one.

My mother in law resided at Ashtonleigh from Easter 2017 until August 2017, as she had a degree of dementia and was not coping at home being looked after by her disabled son and ourselves.
We were very happy with all the care she received during this time. We were kept informed of everything that was happening with her and even with her stay in the hospital, Ashtonleigh also rang to find out how she was, which proves how caring they are. All the staff that work here are very approachable and if we had any questions they were always answered in detail.

Having my mother in law here certainly took the pressure off my disabled brother in law and also ourselves. Sadly she has now died but we would not hesitate to recommend this care setting here at Ashtonleigh to anyone who asks us.

A very bright, cheerful environment in which most of the residents seem very content. Visitors are warmly welcomed whenever they arrive. The residents comment on the quality of the food, which is always good and relatives can join them at meal times.

The attentiveness and care of the staff is excellent with nothing being too much trouble and there are activities in the lounge to stimulate those who wish to participate. I always enjoy my visits as it is such a happy place to be.
