Astonleigh has an extremely friendly feel to the home. When we decided Mum could no longer live independently we looked at several other homes. Astonleigh was well above the standard of the others we saw. Mum has settled in well at Astonleigh and we are as a family so pleased with the care she receives,
the room and the facilities available. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one.

My mother was in hospital then was transferred to this home as she needed 24-hour care. It was done professionally but it did take quite a while.

I went in for a weeks respite and found I liked everything about the home. I will definitely come back for more respite or perhaps as a permanent resident. I would find nothing to complain about.

My mother in law resided at Ashtonleigh from Easter 2017 until August 2017, as she had a degree of dementia and was not coping at home being looked after by her disabled son and ourselves.
We were very happy with all the care she received during this time. We were kept informed of everything that
was happening with her and even with her stay in the hospital, Ashtonleigh also rang to find out how she was, which proves how caring they are. All the staff that work here are very approachable and if we had any questions they were always answered in detail.
Having my mother in law here certainly took the pressure off my disabled brother in law and also ourselves. Sadly she has now died but we would not hesitate to recommend this care setting here at Ashtonleigh to anyone who asks us.

A very bright, cheerful environment in which most of the residents seem very content. Visitors are warmly welcomed whenever they arrive. The residents comment on the quality of the food, which is always good and relatives can join them at meal times.


The attentiveness and care of the staff is

excellent with nothing being too much trouble and there are activities in the lounge to stimulate those who wish to participate. I always enjoy my visits as it is such a happy place to be.

A mediocre home of the low to middle distinction. The level of care varies, depending on the quality of daily supervision of each shift. Issues became evident within the first few days that the patient would not receive an acceptable level of personal care. After 2 months, although improved with the
settling in period, the care is still not equal to common practice standards in many practical common sense details. It is also evident that the level of care would not increase with additional cost to the client. In essence, you get what you pay for. Recent renovations to the reception area have improved the appearance of the home. Food served is of a good homely standard and the quantity is sufficient. Staff are kind and have listened to issues raised but the recurrence of some issues become frustrating, which is evident of a lack of reporting these to each shift. The current CQC Report is over 2 years old and a more recent report would undoubtedly raise the standard of the organisation.

This is a five star residential home in relation to the care and empathy shown by every member of the devoted staff. Their kindness, devotion and professionalism are apparent at all times. The accommodation has/is being updated and improved to a good standard. My mother always appears happy and clean,
well fed and attended to. I would recommend this care home to anyone who needs a loving warm environment for their relatives with the medical attention their loved one requires.

Meet our esteemed care Home Manager, Noel Ravela, a dedicated Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector. Noel is registered with CQC as a Registered Manager for Ashtonleigh Nursing Home and holds a degree in Health Care Management. Noel brings an exceptional blend of clinical expertise and managerial skills to our facility. Noel has been part of the Ashton Group for more than 5 years and has worked as a deputy manager in one of our sister homes Ashton House in Haywards Heath where he ably deputised for a 100-bed nursing home. Noel ensures that the staff attend regular training courses to keep their knowledge up to date to guarantee that the care the residents receive meets the resident's needs as well as CQC standards. Noel manages a team of deputy managers, clinical lead, registered nurses and carer staff as well as domiciliary staff to ensure that the home runs smoothly and that they comply with CQC regulations. Noel also assists our overseas staff in gaining their NMC PIN Number through rigorous training to become Registered Nurses in the UK.
