Leonard Cheshire Disability's Ashwood is an eight bedroom residential home for older adults with learning disabilities. Located in Worthing, the home is near the sea front and is situated near all local amenities and leisure facilities.
Ashwood operates in an atmosphere of respect and friendliness offering specialist support for older adults with learning disabilities including Asperger’s and Autism. The service provides tailored care services, offering high-quality individualised support including health and wellbeing programmes with a focus on supporting individuals to lead active lives. The service operates a keyworker system which ensures individuals’ needs are met with weekly one-to-one meetings and regular reviews to track progress in achieving outcomes.
Ashwood also provides tailored one-to-one and group activities with a focus on meaningful community engagement and achieving maximum potential. The highly trained team of carers promote independence with a focus on sensory care and interactive sessions, music therapy and other in-house and external complimentary services.
