We were very impressed with the high level of care, kindness cleanliness and professionally shown to my husband on his recent stay in Grays Fair Court. The rooms were superior in every way and the staff were excellent.

It was my husband's first visit to a respite care home and 'a pleasant experience' was his description. We would thoroughly recommend Grays Fair Court as an excellent, well-run care home.

Excellent care from a dedicated team who put up with my rude and ungrateful father. They did everything they could to look after him. I was able to go away for a week and have a holiday with my grandchildren and not have the worry. First class service - he is unlikely to go back due to his aggression and rude behaviour.

Having inspected the respite care rooms and areas prior to mother-in-law stay, I was impressed with the level of Decor cleanliness and facilities. I would not want "mum" to stay anywhere I would not stay myself!
On the day of arrival, I was also impressed by the accuracy and care taken to welcome given to mum checking details of medication and likes and dislikes etc. Thank you for giving me peace of mind.

Many thanks for your positive feedback about Grays Fair Court Short Term-Respite Care in Norwich. Your comments are greatly appreciated by our staff.

I have stayed here several times in the past, using agency staff a lot, not good, not used to your needs. The building is clean, a bit tatty and needs redecorating. Had to go to the hospital due to a water infection and the staff were very helpful. Quality of food good, very little variety. Considerably very expensive for what is available.

My friend came into care for respite but sadly died in your care. The staff couldn't have done any more than they did.
They all rallied around him in every way. They were cheerful, so very friendly, attentive and caring. The care home was like a 'home from home' all self-contained, it was simply a perfect place to re-coup.
It's a shame he could not have enjoyed his stay and recovered to thank everyone for everything they did for him.
My big thank you to you all.

I was discharged from the hospital after having major surgery and I could not go home as my wife had just had a shoulder joint replaced. Arrangements were made for me for respite care for one week from the Tuesday after Easter Monday. I was introduced to a lady manager who took us to a room and explained very clearly the setup arranged for seats in the toilet and demonstrated the working of the waste bin, explained about med arrangements and the care of medication and money, providing a key to lock requirements in the drawer. I have found the staff very friendly and always helpful. The food is very good, always hot and well presented and good to eat. I feel the stay and care have made me feel much healthier.

My mother, who is 96 years old has been having respite care at Grays Fair Court for several years. She feels that whilst the care is adequate, some carers are more caring than others. She feels that there are not enough staff. The quality of the food, in her opinion, has gone down, for example, it is too peppery, or not hot enough. While drinking water is provided in a jug, this was too heavy for her to pour out. However, she said in general the staff did their best.

Over the past four years, my father experienced the care facilities at Grays Fair Court which is run by Age UK Norfolk. At first, it was just day visits for day care, with the occasional visit to respite care. Then we were fortunate to be offered a residential sheltered flat, which offered independent living with care. We found all three of these options excellent, the standard of care was better than other establishments that we investigated. The CQC rating for this establishment is good. I think this is undermarked and it should be outstanding.

My mother attended day services for a number of years here and then as her age and problems got worse she had her first respite break in this home. Recently she spent the last week of her life in a "planning bed" here and she is now deceased. She absolutely loved attending day services and it was something that kept her going when she could easily have given up! The staff in the respite were fantastic and showed such care and kindness and the staff and volunteers in the day centre were equally brilliant.

I am quadriplegic due to multiple sclerosis. I need help with EVERYTHING and the staff at Grays Fair feed me and ensure I have drinks regularly. I need a special mattress which has to be delivered prior to my respite care and this my wife has to check up on as it's essential. I am 6'4'' tall and wish beds were longer.
The staff are absolutely lovely and fulfil all my needs. They will have a laugh and keep spirits high. They also get to know my wife, daughter, son-in-law (and grandson) and my son.
