I marvel at the consistent, exceptional care that my mother receives. The leadership is terrific and sets the tone of the healthy culture of Headlands which is extraordinary. Each staff person genuinely cares about the well being of each resident and I have watched them patiently cater to the character and personality in a loving, sincere and patient manner. We appreciate the thought, planning and energy that you put into your work every day.
I go all over the world and do not think I could find a better environment and home anywhere. We feel so incredibly fortunate.
Thank you so much. You have exceeded all our expectations and most important my mothers.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Headlands who go out of their way to care for my Mum, who at times can be difficult! They have so much patience and understanding of their resident's needs and I feel fully confident in the care that Mum receives. Thank you to all the staff!!!!!!

Prompt home visit and assessment of respite care needs. Tactful and cheerful contact, mindful of health conditions and Alzheimer's vagaries. Always careful to respect resident and his wishes, while providing care in cleanliness, nutrition, well-being and stimulus. Lovely staff and surroundings.

I have always found the staff very friendly and accommodating.

We have found only the utmost kindness and care for the residents by all the staff. They spent active time speaking to the residents, even those who rarely respond. They work hard at making life fun - if you can call it that - and are always there when needed. I was initially impressed (still am) by the good natured team-work of the carers. They support each other in their care work and are always patient. The home is very clean, bright and tastefully decorated and furnished. Even in winter the lights were kept on so that there was a lovely bright atmosphere. There are plenty of windows, and in our direction is St. Ives Bay and the Lighthouse on its island. I praise Headlands to all my friends. My father, who was determined never to live in a home settled immediately and is very happy in the busy, friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic staff, nothing is too much trouble. Location is wonderful for older residents and I feel the view my father has is helping his recovery process. Very clean and welcoming. The staff are able chat to residents which is a big part of being in a residents home.

The staff have been caring and compassionate and very kind to my aunt. I think they made her feel part of a family and also made her feel quite special and important. She could not have had better treatment especially in her final days. They were also very kind and caring to us her relatives. We are so thankful that we chose Headlands for her.

A wonderful home more like a four star hotel. Made to feel very welcome by all the staff the care given is of a very high standard. Also the food is excellent. Very clean and tidy well run home.

Job Title: Manager

Description:

I used to help my mum when she was caring for my granddad who was terminally ill. I liked being able to help him and this encouraged me to move into care work. I now look after the welfare of our residents at Headlands and oversee the running of the Home.

What I enjoy most about my role is knowing that I’ve made someone’s day. Our team is like a family – we all know our residents well and really care about them, not just for them.
