Overview

The Review Score of 9.8 (maximum of 10) for Morovahview is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 10 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Morovahview in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

Detailed Breakdown

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.845 for Morovahview is calculated as follows: ( (99 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 116 Ratings = 4.845

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Morovahview is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 3.2 positive Reviews (16 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 6 Reviews ÷ 3.2 Target Reached = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

9.8 Morovahview has a Review Score of 9.8 (9.845) from 10 Reviews

My mother's stay at Morovahview was short but during her time there every care and consideration was given to her well being. The home has a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere with most residents enjoying the meals in the bright and cheerful dining room and congregating and chatting in the communal areas. My mother was taken very ill whilst there and had difficulty eating but special meals at irregular times were prepared and served to her in her room with a smile. As my mother was ill she needed nursing care but was unable to be moved and for the period of her illness received kind attention far beyond what is the norm for this level of residential home. Our family would like to give a big thank you to the management, nurses and carers at Morovahview.

Many thanks for your kind review.

My mother has just returned from two weeks respite at Morovahview and I cannot rate this home highly enough. Mums first residential experience and I am sure she will be happy to go again. The manager and his team are genuinely caring and even invited mum for Sunday lunch the week before her stay so that they could get to know each other and properly assess her needs.
A real home from home.

Phil Jefferies, Proprietor at Morovahview responded to this review on 14 Jan 2018:

Thank you for your kind review and we are pleased that your mum enjoyed her stay. We look forward to seeing you all again in the future.

With only 16 residential beds Morovahview provides a personal touch for residents, a sense of 'home from home'. The well-trained staff are friendly, helpful and respectful to service users and deliver an excellent level of care. The variety and standard of food provided for residents is also excellent and I noticed only last week the 5-star cleanliness rating near the kitchen door. The home itself is well equipped and maintained to a high standard.

A friendly caring home with excellent, caring staff.
My father has been in the home for 28 months and the care has been consistently good.
If you're looking for a smaller, more personal home, this is a good choice.

Thank you for your kind review.

I am so thankful that Morovahview had space to accommodate my grandfather. The owners are welcoming and efficient in organising what is needed and have really helped with all the paperwork too. We are very fond of the manager who always brings a laugh to the room. I know my grandfather is safe and comfortable there. The home is clean, the food looks good and best of all there is always a cup of tea offer! Thank you to everyone who makes Morovahiew such a special place.

I have found the care given to my father by the staff at Morovahview to be of a consistently high standard.
He is always treated with kindness, dignity and respect in a comfortable and safe environment.
Whenever there has been a medical problem the doctor or nurse has been informed and have visited as necessary.

Dad was a resident from the 20th of December until his death on the 29th of January, following a short illness. I cannot fault the care, compassion and professionalism he received at all times. He liked his room and the staff, who did all they could to make him feel at home. He was treated with respect and dignity at all times.

Before being in hospital for 4 weeks prior to moving to Morovahview, I had cared for him at home with me for 2 years. They were bale to offer round-the-clock support. When he passed away peacefully at 96 years old, it was handled sensitively and my family and I are very grateful to the owners and all the staff.
