Colebrooke Lane, Cullompton EX15 1PB
Housemartins is a residential care home based in Cullompton in Devon.
It has been running since 2005.
Due to the capacity of the home it creates a small family style environment. This promotes individuality and person-centred support.
Each service user has a key worker assigned who will support them 1:1 to part take in recreational, social and skill developing activities of the individual’s choice.
A range of activities are on offer within the home including regular cookery lessons from an external provider. All service users are also supported and encouraged to part take in activities within the local community.
The facilities at Housemartins include a homely shared lounge and kitchen/dining room and a spacious and private garden. Housemartins provides a nightly sleep in facility.
Housemartins can be beneficial in being accessed as a long term residential placement or as a mid-way service that would develop and promote skills to enable the individual to move onto support living or more independent living support services in the future.
Staff at Housemartins would consider a respite placement if it was felt the individual would engage and mix well with the current individuals who live at Housemartins.
