Reviews

7.7 Fives Court has a Review Score of 7.7 (7.682)

The Review Score of 7.7 (maximum of 10) for Fives Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 8 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Fives Court in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.521 for Fives Court is calculated as follows: ( (53 Excellents x 5) + (37 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 94 Ratings = 4.521

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.161 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fives Court is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 = 3

    2. Target of 6.2 positive Reviews (31 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 1 Reviews ÷ 6.2 Target = 0.161

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

When calling in to see my sister last August 2015, I found the nursing home dull, grey and quite miserable. Calling back this year the whole thing had changed. Nice signs outside and garden, walking in much brighter, cleaner, more modern. A great improvement altogether.

A customer coordinator from the the adult service team called at the care home today to carry out a review of my mothers care. After a thorough review involving a carer my mother and myself a list of areas for concern and discussion was drawn up. The home manager and senior carer agreed to an immediate impromptu discussion to consider these issues and draw up an action plan. They were both highly professional made extensive notes and I am confident that these relatively minor areas for concern will be attended to.

The staff have been most helpful, especially when this has been a very emotional time for myself. I never felt at any time I was not welcome to ask questions etc. On arrival the place was just like home. The standard of cleanliness was fantastic, which to me is important. No bad smells. The food looked good. Took mum over today Monday 4th April, seems fine and liked it I could tell. The staff here are amazing, so good. I cannot praise them enough.

My mother has been at Fives Court for over ten years. During this time she has received a high standard of care. The cooking and quality of the meals is especially good (all cooked on site). The light open spaces are also welcoming. During the ten years that she has been there she has had quite a few illnesses. The staff have coped well with these.

I am very satisfied with the care my husband is receiving. The staff are kind and caring and the food is exceptional. My husband has been resident for 8 months and is quite contented and obviously regards Fives Court as home.

Mum has been in Fives Court for four years now and both my sisters and I are thrilled with every aspect of her care. Her dignity is always honoured and we are always advised of any mishaps mum may have.

My mother sadly passed away December 2104 aged 94 years. A good innings. She spent the last 6 months of her life at Fives Court in the best of care.
She was treated with love. What can be better than that.
The staff at Fives Court are special. They are at times dealing with people at their lowest points but this is all done with caring and humour and a special touch.
My grieving process was made a little easier knowing that my Mum was happy and safe for the last leg of her journey through life.
