Mum has been a resident for 1 and a half years and now calls it her home. The care and compassion shown on a daily basis by all staff are exceptional, with all residents. Relations are kept fully informed about the well-being of their loved ones and concerns are listened to. Meals are varied and snacks are available 24/7. The freedom to roam safely is wonderful. The home provides purpose and pleasure to those who are residents. 100% satisfied.

My Mother has lived at Claybourne for 6 years and has always been cared for with the greatest respect and loving care. She has loved the garden, the Christian ethos, the activities, and the friendships with other residents. Relatives are always informed in a timely manner of any health-related issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending Claybourne.

Simply outstanding! These are the words I would use to describe Claybourne. My dad has been a resident for just over 3 months and every day says that he says he feels like 'he's in heaven - but hasn't died!'

The team of support around him is quite simply phenomenal! They are so kind to him (and all the other residents); they care of his physical and mental well-being. Every day varied activities are provided for residents to take part in if they wish. The food is top, top quality and Dad feels like he's living in 5-star luxury! The change in him since he's been at Claybourne is astonishing. Needless to say, my family are extremely happy with the care provided and would highly recommend this care provider.

Mum has been a resident at Claybourne for over a year now. She is well looked after and has a good relationship with the hardworking staff. The freedom for the residents to venture outside, around the garden, (when this lovely British weather allows!) is a real bonus. The food is lovely. Activities are varied and fun. Our family are happy that Mum's needs are being met, that she is safe, and cared for, and that we are welcomed with a smile when we visit.

Reply from Kerry Rafferty, Home Manager at Claybourne

Thank you for your kind words. Mum is such a valued member of our community and is a pleasure to have around with her charm, quick wit, and charisma. Mum inspires us every day to go above and beyond. I will pass on your kind words to the team.

The food used to be excellent at every meal but since Christmas, they do vary - food does not seem as fresh and varied.
Overall the home has lived up to our high expectations and we are very happy with the way things are going. Standard of care is very high.

We would be happy to recommend this care home to any of our friends - the staff and managers are very friendly, approachable and only too willing to help wherever they can.

Claybourne has a warm and welcoming environment. The staff always have kind words and a smile for residents and visitors. The set up of the home is amazing for residents with dementia, Mum can wander safely inside or outside and a welcome cup of tea and a snack is always readily available at whichever lounge she arrives at. The manager lives, eats and breathes Claybourne which permeates throughout the home.

Claybourne is a very homely place where your family, as for me my mother, can be safe and secure. Staff and management are so good and helpful. They are all a dedicated team and genuinely care for all residents, who are treated with dignity. Also, fast access to health professionals.

They have a wide range of activities and family members are also included, which I enjoy and brings a smile for the residents. Have had dinner with my mother and they have a good quality of food choices. My mother's room and Claybourne itself is always clean, with laundry service.

This home is wonderful, the staff and caregivers are so good and the feeling of the home is relaxing and full of kindness. It has been a very hard decision to make this mum’s new home, but it’s been a good decision. I can strongly recommend Claybourne.

From my first contact and initial enquiry with the manager at Claybourne, I had full confidence that this was a care home that would meet my mum's needs. For my elderly mother (93 years), it was important to find a setting with caring staff, a homely environment, suitable activities and an ethos where Mum's faith and Christian beliefs would be nurtured and respected. Claybourne provided all of those things and my sister and I will be forever grateful for the care and support Mum and we received there.

For our family, Claybourne Care Home was the best choice for Mum who has lived here with dementia for five years. Having positively supported the home on this website since 2017, I want to give a shout-out for the position the home is in following the challenges of Covid lockdowns. In the September relatives and residents meeting, Mum gave the care manager praise on how well the home was doing. At the six-month review in October with Mum's care supervisor, I know that Mum is encouraged to live as independently as she is able to, whilst the cheerful and talented staff look out for the smallest of signs to indicate her well-being and comfort and provide her with appropriate support. She recently had an arm injury and was not keen on physio exercises so the team got her to exercise her arm by daily lifting things from and into cupboards, wiping tables, holding things - all tasks she enjoyed and is able to do. It's great to see this confidence and evidence of good practice at Claybourne going forward with positivity.

I was familiar with Claybourne Care Home because my wife had been a resident here from July 2018 to October 2019. I came into this home for two weeks while my daughter, with whom I live, could go on holiday. The attitude of staff and quality of care was excellent. As a manager in social services, I was "in charge" of many types of residential care and I regard Claybourne as an excellent provision in every way. I will be coming here again in July 2022 for two weeks.

Claybourne Care Home continue to really impress me with every visit. They have been excellent during the pandemic in terms of their management of cross-infection and all the staff demonstrate warmth and compassion towards their residents. The atmosphere is one of a large, happy group of family and friends between the residents and the care staff. Highly recommended!

Claybourne Care Home have provided excellent care for my mother who has been a resident there since 2018. I reside in the United States and was unable to visit my mother for two years due to Covid, however, I knew mother was being taken care of by the wonderful and caring staff under the excellent supervision of the managers. When I visited mother in October 2021 after not seeing her for two years, she was comfortable, in good spirits and told me what wonderful care she receives at Claybourne. I am so grateful for all they have done to support my mother and would highly recommend Claybourne.

My mother has been a resident at Claybourne for over 5 years now and I have found it so reassuring that she is so well looked after. Mum's dementia has deteriorated over the 5 years, but Claybourne staff have been wonderful at every stage. Following a traumatic hospital stay 18 months ago the staff were so attentive and caring and helped Mum get back to good health which the family did not believe was possible. Mum is so cared about, and the warmth of the staff is so evident whenever we visit. Through this awful period when we haven't been able to visit it has been reassuring that Mum is in a place which I can rely on to be a proper home for Mum where I am confident she is very content.

I would like to thank everyone at Claybourne for their care for my mum during this unprecedented time.
I am very pleased to say that the home has been free from Coronavirus. The management and the staff have clearly taken this very seriously and have had the well being of the residents constantly in their thoughts. They have shared updates with us on a daily basis and have arranged a phone conversation with mum every day too. Absolutely the best! Even though mum has challenging behaviours they always look after her and support my sister and I with any request we have.

I am not very good at putting into words what I really mean but I have been so glad mum was living at Claybourne, knowing she is safe and well. Thank you to everyone and I do pass on details of this wonderful care home whenever I can.

Mum has been cared for at Claybourne for over six years now. I have always been impressed and heartened by the care, compassion and dedication shown by care, domestic and admin staff in equal measure.
The current Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted what has been the forgotten sector in the care environment and has invoked some, and in my opinion, unwelcome and unfounded criticism of care homes and their staff.
The response by Claybourne to the pandemic was swift and well managed and at no time did I feel that Mum was not being given the best care and protection.

As usual everyone at Claybourne has risen to the task and they have my praise and gratitude.
