The food used to be excellent at every meal but since Christmas, they do vary - food does not seem as fresh and varied.
Overall the home has lived up to our high expectations and we are very happy with the way things are going. Standard of care is very high.
We would be happy to recommend this care
home to any of our friends - the staff and managers are very friendly, approachable and only too willing to help wherever they can.

Claybourne has a warm and welcoming environment. The staff always have kind words and a smile for residents and visitors. The set up of the home is amazing for residents with dementia, Mum can wander safely inside or outside and a welcome cup of tea and a snack is always readily available at whichever
lounge she arrives at. The manager lives, eats and breathes Claybourne which permeates throughout the home.

Claybourne is a very homely place where your family, as for me my mother, can be safe and secure. Staff and management are so good and helpful. They are all a dedicated team and genuinely care for all residents, who are treated with dignity. Also, fast access to health professionals.
They have a wide
range of activities and family members are also included, which I enjoy and brings a smile for the residents. Have had dinner with my mother and they have a good quality of food choices. My mother's room and Claybourne itself is always clean, with laundry service.

This home is wonderful, the staff and caregivers are so good and the feeling of the home is relaxing and full of kindness. It has been a very hard decision to make this mum’s new home, but it’s been a good decision. I can strongly recommend Claybourne.

From my first contact and initial enquiry with the manager at Claybourne, I had full confidence that this was a care home that would meet my mum's needs. For my elderly mother (93 years), it was important to find a setting with caring staff, a homely environment, suitable activities and an ethos where
Mum's faith and Christian beliefs would be nurtured and respected. Claybourne provided all of those things and my sister and I will be forever grateful for the care and support Mum and we received there.

For our family, Claybourne Care Home was the best choice for Mum who has lived here with dementia for five years. Having positively supported the home on this website since 2017, I want to give a shout-out for the position the home is in following the challenges of Covid lockdowns. In the September
relatives and residents meeting, Mum gave the care manager praise on how well the home was doing. At the six-month review in October with Mum's care supervisor, I know that Mum is encouraged to live as independently as she is able to, whilst the cheerful and talented staff look out for the smallest of signs to indicate her well-being and comfort and provide her with appropriate support. She recently had an arm injury and was not keen on physio exercises so the team got her to exercise her arm by daily lifting things from and into cupboards, wiping tables, holding things - all tasks she enjoyed and is able to do. It's great to see this confidence and evidence of good practice at Claybourne going forward with positivity.

I was familiar with Claybourne Care Home because my wife had been a resident here from July 2018 to October 2019. I came into this home for two weeks while my daughter, with whom I live, could go on holiday. The attitude of staff and quality of care was excellent. As a manager in social services, I
was "in charge" of many types of residential care and I regard Claybourne as an excellent provision in every way. I will be coming here again in July 2022 for two weeks.

Claybourne Care Home continue to really impress me with every visit. They have been excellent during the pandemic in terms of their management of cross-infection and all the staff demonstrate warmth and compassion towards their residents. The atmosphere is one of a large, happy group of family and friends
between the residents and the care staff. Highly recommended!

Claybourne Care Home have provided excellent care for my mother who has been a resident there since 2018. I reside in the United States and was unable to visit my mother for two years due to Covid, however, I knew mother was being taken care of by the wonderful and caring staff under the excellent supervision
of the managers. When I visited mother in October 2021 after not seeing her for two years, she was comfortable, in good spirits and told me what wonderful care she receives at Claybourne. I am so grateful for all they have done to support my mother and would highly recommend Claybourne.

My mother has been a resident at Claybourne for over 5 years now and I have found it so reassuring that she is so well looked after. Mum's dementia has deteriorated over the 5 years, but Claybourne staff have been wonderful at every stage. Following a traumatic hospital stay 18 months ago the staff
were so attentive and caring and helped Mum get back to good health which the family did not believe was possible. Mum is so cared about, and the warmth of the staff is so evident whenever we visit. Through this awful period when we haven't been able to visit it has been reassuring that Mum is in a place which I can rely on to be a proper home for Mum where I am confident she is very content.

Mum has been cared for at Claybourne for over six years now. I have always been impressed and heartened by the care, compassion and dedication shown by care, domestic and admin staff in equal measure.
The current Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted what has been the forgotten sector in the care environment
and has invoked some, and in my opinion, unwelcome and unfounded criticism of care homes and their staff.
The response by Claybourne to the pandemic was swift and well managed and at no time did I feel that Mum was not being given the best care and protection.
As usual everyone at Claybourne has risen to the task and they have my praise and gratitude.

I would like to thank everyone at Claybourne for their care for my mum during this unprecedented time.
I am very pleased to say that the home has been free from Coronavirus. The management and the staff have clearly taken this very seriously and have had the well being of the residents constantly in
their thoughts. They have shared updates with us on a daily basis and have arranged a phone conversation with mum every day too. Absolutely the best! Even though mum has challenging behaviours they always look after her and support my sister and I with any request we have.
I am not very good at putting into words what I really mean but I have been so glad mum was living at Claybourne, knowing she is safe and well. Thank you to everyone and I do pass on details of this wonderful care home whenever I can.

I cannot praise the staff and manager at Claybourne enough for caring for my mum. After an extremely difficult year, Claybourne gave Mum a chance to live at their lovely home, something other homes weren't prepared to do. Mum, who suffers from Dementia and Parkinsons, now seems very happy and settled,
something I never thought I'd see. The manager at Claybourne is excellent and is extremely supportive and understanding of Mum's needs. The staff are all great with her and offer her a high level of care. It's so lovely to see Mum having a life again. Mum gets involved in the many activities that Claybourne arrange at the home as well as trips out. Claybourne has a great environment too and so not a chore to visit. It doesn't smell like many care homes do or feel dark and dingy. It's bright and friendly, set in a lovely garden where Mum can roam freely and safely.
I have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

I am delighted with the care mum receives at Claybourne Methodist care home. She is safe, happy, stimulated and very well cared for.
Mum feels so fully involved and occupied every day. She thrives on the structure and only returns to her room for the occasional hour on her own for a rest. Mum enjoys
the church services on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday morning, the quizzes, flower arranging, knitting group and many other activities and special celebrations that happen regularly.
There is a holistic approach to the caring she receives and I am so relieved to know she can spend the rest of her life being safe, treated with dignity and respected. All her needs are met. She has her hair done weekly (or as often as she would like) at the hairdressing salon and a chiropodist visits regularly.
The staff are outstanding and go to great lengths to treat everyone in a very loving, caring way.
I would not hesitate to recommend Claybourne to anyone that needs this care.

Our mum stayed at Claybourne for the last five months of her life. It is a fabulous place. Mum was treated with care, dignity and respect throughout her stay. The care staff are very personable and friendly and treat all of the residents individually and respond to their individual needs.
Alzheimer's
is a difficult illness and each person reacts differently and therefore requires personal care. The staff at Claybourne deliver this.
Mum was free to wander around the building at her will as there are many lounges for her to sit and relax in and to get some peace and quiet as she needed it.
At the end of Mums life, Claybourne worked really hard with us to get Mum released from hospital and back to her home to spend her last few days with the family. I can't recommend it enough. A wonderful place if any of your loved ones are unfortunate enough to suffer from Dementia and need 24 hour care.

I have visited this home (Claybourne) many times over the last few years and without exception, I have been impressed by every aspect of this beautiful home. Residents all present so beautifully cared for, both in appearance and the way staff speak and listen to them.
Furnishings reflect dignity and
comfort and most importantly, the fatigue and frailty sometimes experienced is responded to with compassion.
This home proves that people with dementia do not need to look dishevelled; their home can still smell nice and their quality of life be good.
