The Lawns Care Home

My mother was in the care home for over two years before she died aged 100. During this time the care home were excellent in all aspects of care. The entertainment supplied was regular and of a good, varied and of a high quality. The food was top-class and catered for individual needs. The staff from the manager to the care staff could not be faulted for giving a top-class service. I would fully recommend this home to anyone considering it for a loved one.

I witnessed on many occasions many small acts of kindness that made Mum's last three years the best they could be, a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, a thoughtful compliment. I will always be grateful that Mum shared her last days with The Lawns staff.

The staff at The Lawns are fantastic. My mother who turned 106 years old yesterday was given a marvellous day. Thank you to you all.

The Lawns was perfect for my mum in her final few months it's not a typical care home and feels more like a nice hotel. There was always a welcoming happy atmosphere with plenty of activities going on. The food was delicious and plentiful. The level of care was outstanding and the staff were kind, helpful and respectful at all times. I highly recommend The Lawns.

I think the staff and the care are wonderful. Mum is well looked after.

Very caring staff and nothing is too much trouble. Lots of activities for those who want to take part. The rooms are kept clean and tidy. The food choice is excellent. Mum is often late to breakfast but she is never rushed. Medical staff excellent.

I use The Lawns for respite weekly every 2 weeks. I find it very good. The staff and management are very helpful and friendly. 10/10.

The Lawns Care Home proved to be the perfect place for my father when he was no longer able to cope independently. He was very happy here and everyone who spent time with him and helped him was caring, kind and respectful without exception. My sister and I are very grateful that we were able to leave him with such kind and caring people.

The care and compassion shown to my dad since he moved into the Lawns two months ago is outstanding. The Lawns feels safe and homely and I know my dad is being very well cared for. He is encouraged to join in activities and has already been on a boat trip, which he absolutely loved. His medical needs are taken care of with great professionalism and he is treated with great dignity. All the staff are so friendly, making him feel very at home.

A kind place where people are treated with respect and are looked after very well. The staff are always very helpful and professional and go the extra mile.

I accompanied my mum on a canal boat trip along with other residents, family members and staff. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The organising of it was excellent, plenty of very good food and beverages and the boat crews were lovely. My mum said she enjoyed it because it was such a different experience.

The choice of food and quality were exemplary and nothing is too much trouble when requested. The landscaping and gardens need some tender loving care but we understand that help is on the way.

On my visit this morning, I found, as always, the staff were extremely caring, considerate and efficient. They were welcoming and friendly and the home has a good, happy atmosphere.

The facilities available are excellent and well used. Meals (through personal experience) are first-class with service reminiscent of high-quality hotels. Every effort is made to attend to residents' needs, providing a stimulating and delightful ambience throughout the care home.

My Dad lived happily at the Lawns as a reasonably fit resident, for nearly 2½ years, but over recent months has become increasingly frail and bed-ridden. Throughout this difficult time, I have been impressed and reassured by the way that the care team have stepped up their provision to match his increased needs. Their excellent, compassionate care is delivered in a sensitive way and nothing is too much trouble. The chef has also matched Dad's changing needs by producing beautiful pureed meals that would not look out of place in a posh nouvelle-cuisine type of restaurant. Thank you to all of the Lawns team!

I would like to sincerely thank the staff at The Lawns for the care and help that they have been giving my mother over the last year or so. I recently asked The Lawns if they could help my mother to attend a family wedding and The Lawns went out of their way to help my mother to be able to attend the wedding safely and to meet other family members. We are very grateful that The Lawns was able to facilitate this for us.

My mother received wonderful care at The Lawns over a period of ten years. The staff are kind and respectful and they have coped amazingly well during Covid. As well as caring for residents' needs, they also work very hard to keep the residents entertained. My mother has recently passed away, aged 97, and I can't thank them enough for their end of life care.

I have a dear friend at The Lawns and have been thoroughly impressed with the care provided, particularly throughout lockdown. I was very concerned that I would have very limited contact with my good friend, but have found that thanks to our frequent phone calls and online communication, my concerns were totally unnecessary. The staff have helped teach my friend to use FaceTime so she can contact me whenever we choose.

My dear friend speaks very highly of all the carers there and simply adores the food.

The care my father gets is exceptional. I cannot say it is a home from home because it is so much better than that for Dad. He is very well cared for and the family have total peace of mind, regarding his safety and welfare. I am so grateful that we found this home for him before lockdown, it has made life so much easier for all of us.
