Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.


Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

As a partial wheelchair user myself and after losing my dad 3 months ago, I looked at many care homes and Boultham Park stood out head & shoulders above the rest, and totally lived up to that for my mums stay it was a real "home from home" with staff treating my mum as if she were their own care wise.
It really was outstanding. The only comment or something to build on would be that rooms aren't huge an dont have their own toilet but none of this really matters when everything else is so special & caring. Thank you so much to all of the staff for their exceptional care xxxx

Mum arrived at BPH in April badly in need of respite care. She has a large bright room. She has experienced friendly, consistent and quality care which has helped her recovery such that she is looking forward to returning home next month.
Can't praise the team highly enough.

I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at Boultham Park House. They are very caring and friendly.
The whole atmosphere is a warm and welcoming one. Family are encouraged to join in with special events.
My mother is extremely happy there and loves all the activities on offer.

I can't praise Boultham Park House enough. They have cared for Mum with such kindness and love over the last three years. All the staff are amazing and treat the residents with such dignity and kindess.

From the start of my uncle's stay to the end, we found genuine care, patience and support.
First-class provision and motivated, well-trained staff who quickly became my uncle's friends.
Should we have need of a home from home again, we wouldn't go anywhere else!

My mum has been receiving respite care since November 2023, having previously spent 4 weeks in another home. She settled immediately, tells me she feels safe and secure and has taken part in lots of activities that put my social calendar to shame! The staff are friendly, engaging and genuinely caring.

Mum has been at Boultham Park House for 18 months she is happy most of the time. Always says how lovely all the staff are. The facilities are great. I feel happy as mum has settled well. GP service is good and always gets treated quickly. All in all very satisfied.

The home has a wonderful, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. All the staff and residents related to each other on first-name terms and with respect. The outside space is great, and so is the beautifully maintained garden. My wife enjoyed her time there.

Boultham Park House has been a godsend for my aunt. When she was discharged from hospital after a long stay in rehab, the home she was placed in was not ideal and we saw all her progress fade. Thankfully we found Boultham Park, where we feel she is treated with love, care and dignity. The staff and
nurses are simply wonderful. The home is cosy, clean and has such a happy atmosphere. Our experience over the last six months has been 100% positive. It really is a home-from-home. Thank you!

Mum went to Boultham Park House in July 2021. We didn't think she would be with them for more than about six weeks. Before going in, Mum didn't get out of bed, was hardly eating, and I had to take a wheelchair into her bedroom to take her to the bathroom for a shower. Though it was the hardest thing
I ever had to do leaving Mum there, as a family, we knew it was best for Mum. Mum has dementia and, at the time, didn't really believe there was anything wrong with her. Ever since then, Mum has had a wonderful time there. She has engaged in activities which we couldn't get her to do before. She was eating well and was more of her old self. The staff there cannot do enough for the residents, and nothing is too much trouble. In the beginning, I was ringing every day, but that was ok; the staff didn't mind. The staff are loving and caring and treat the residents like they are family.

I came Boultham Park House initially on a temporary basis.
I found the staff wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. I have a large family, my family are always welcomed when they visit me. I have decided to become a permanent resident now.

When the time comes for your parent to move from their home, you look for somewhere where they will be happy and safe. We found that place- Boultham Park House. Mum says that she is looked after like a queen. Nothing is too much trouble and she is able to live her life as she pleases. Our family have

My husband was in a very unsatisfactory care home. After much research, I was very impressed with all aspects of Boultham Care Home. He was finally moved there in September. He has settled well. The care is first class, the staff very caring and cheerful, plus activities and music. I feel more relaxed

Joanne

Joanne Johnson

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2003

Joanne Johnson is the Home Manager at The Orders of St John Care Home, Boultham Park in Lincoln.


Joanne has worked in the care industry for the last twenty-two years, the last fifteen being with The Orders of St John Care Trust. She began my career initially as a Carer, working both days & nights before then being promoted to Care Leader, which gave Joanne the necessary leadership skills to become Head of Care and more recently Home Manager.


As Joanne has developed personally in each role, that passion has never left her and now as the Home manager, she still gets a real satisfaction from engaging with the Residents and helping where she can.


Since working in the industry, Joanne has achieved NVQ Level 2&3 in Health and Social care, Level 3 in effective Management. Jo is a medication champion for the Trust, and an appointed First Aider, who is working towards her level 5 management award.


In 2016, Joanne was presented with a chairman’s commendation for meritorious service which she is extremely proud of.


Every day is different in the life of the care home, usually very busy, but managed effectively by prioritising tasks. Jo has a very approachable nature and has an open-door policy enabling all colleagues, residents and visitors to feel they are able to talk to her.


Joanne’s passion for care of the elderly developed at a young age, having a close relationship with her Grandparents and taking her Grandfather to visit his friends in a variety of care providers, she soon realised that she wanted to support individuals and make a difference where she could.


When not at work, I enjoy foreign travel, socialising, dining out, reading and spending quality time with my husband Richard and my much-loved dog Ollie.
