Ruckland Court Care Home is located in the North of Lincoln on the Ermine West estate. The home provides long term residential care, specialist dementia care and short term respite care. Ruckland Court has a range of accommodation including self contained apartments, enabling residents to maintain their independence.

Accommodation includes bedrooms and en-suite facilities with the option of a kitchenette in some of the rooms. Residents are encouraged to personalise their space with their own furnishings and belongings. There are communal lounge and dining areas on each floor where residents can choose to socialise and take meals if they wish.

The Coffee Club is a lovely place to entertain family and friends or the in-house pub for social occasions. There is the cinema room for residents to enjoy regular movie nights and the hair salon for the residents to have their weekly set and blow-dry.

The garden is well maintained and secure with pleasant seating areas for residents and their families to enjoy. The home is adjacent to the Ermine playing fields and close to local shops and amenities. All areas of the home are wheelchair accessible and there is a lift to the first floor. Daily activities are provided for residents to join in if they choose, including gentle exercise, arts and crafts, gardening and games. The home is regularly visited by outside entertainers and local community groups.

Care staff are friendly, well-trained and provide round-the-clock professional assistance according to individual requirements. Residents are visited by a hairdresser, chiropodist and local health care professionals when required.

My mum was in Ruckland just over a year. She was quite a complex case to start with but with dedication from staff and occupational therapy, Mum was moving again. Mum was so happy living in the home. She loved the staff and they showed her so much love and care nothing was too much trouble, they did
up and beyond care for her and my entire family. In her last days, the care was outstanding for us all. Mum felt the love from everyone. I can't thank everyone enough.

We just wanted to say how good the staff are at Ruckland Court Care Home. Our Aunty came in for respite care and all the members of staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. She is now a permanent resident and their excellent care has continued, making the transition from home
to care home so much easier. We would recommend Ruckland Court to anyone wanting to go into care.

Very grateful for the kindness and support showed to mum during her recent trips to hospital and minor surgery. Staff at Ruckland Court arranged transport, and escort and liaised with hospital staff. This was so reassuring as the family live far away.

My Brother lives in Ruckland Court Care Home he is very well looked after. He loves being there. He goes to Dialysis every other day at 7am, he needs to be up 5.30am for this. He feels very confident that he is being looked after very well. The staff are brilliant to the residents.

I previously reviewed this wonderful Care Home when mum first went to stay there. To say they go over and above is an understatement. Nothing is too much for them, from the Management, Administration Team, and Front of House Team right through to the Care Team and Activities Team.
Mum is extremely
well looked after and happy. What more could a daughter ask for when somebody else is looking after somebody who is so precious to me and my family?

Ruckland Court Care Home staff are so welcoming and helpful with all aspects of their services. In any business to make it successful, you have to have wonderful people operating the business from top to bottom. All I have is praise for the caring approach Ruckland Court Care Home has. We couldn't have
chosen a better care home in Lincoln. The residents are treated to plenty of entertainment and trips out. When my wife and I visit we always have a chat not only with the staff but with lots of other residents. A wonderful care home and if I could give more stars I would.

I was very apprehensive for mum to go into a residential home, but circumstances warranted it. However, now mum is in Ruckland Curt, my worries disappeared. The staff are so caring and mindful of each individual needs, from the kitchen staff, the laundry ladies, the hairdresser, management, and last
but not least, the carers who feed, dress, wash, seeing to their personal needs. Nothing is any trouble for whatever the care is for each resident I have noticed. Well done, guys, and thank you.

The staff are really good, nothing is too much trouble for them to help the residents of Ruckland Court have a better quality of life. They are always pleased to help whilst giving the best care they can. When residents are low or struggling they take it in their stride.


Also very helpful to other

family members as well who can often feel a lot of pressure in difficult circumstances.

My aunt, in her 100th year, is treated with dignity, compassion and genuine warmth. The staff are friendly and helpful to visitors. They have a truly human touch. I cannot praise them highly enough for their support in all circumstances and want to praise their approachability.

I would like to thank everyone at Ruckland Court for the wonderful care that my mum has received. Mum took ill just before Covid began and stopped eating, drinking and became bedbound. During Covid, I have been able to keep in touch through regular video calls, I have watched her gain weight and she
is back to her usual smiling self. I have even seen her out of bed, which I didn't think would ever happen again. Everyone at Ruckland is so friendly, helpful and can't do enough for Mum and us as a family. I can ring anytime, and they always let me know if anything is happening with Mum. She has been at Ruckland Court for 3 years now and I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful care and friendship that you give to her.

My mum stopped at this care home for two weeks respite, previously we had a bad experience with a different care home and I said I would never put my mum through that again so it was such a big decision when she went this time. I was so nervous when I took her but from the minute we arrived the staff
made us feel instantly at ease. I visited my mum after she had been there a week and she looked so well and happy, I had not seen her like that in a long time. I truly cannot thank the staff enough for the amazing job they all do, you can see that they genuinely care and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

About 4 weeks ago, our dear mum became very ill and our family feared we would lose her. However, the wonderful team at Ruckland Court, through their loving care, nurtured mum back to her usual self. From being bedridden, only taking minimal diet and fluids to now eating and drinking well and back to
joining in with the amazing activities in the lounge area. Thank you so much to the amazing team at Ruckland Court!

Throughout the almost three years that my friend was a resident in Ruckland Court, we were always impressed by the standard of care, consideration and understanding shown by all staff of all levels towards both my friend and ourselves. Very welcoming and friendly care home. My uncle has been in the home since last June and all the staff we have had contact with have always been, helpful, polite and respectful to us and my uncle. Information is readily available regarding what is happening in the home (especially since covid) such
as visiting rules, how the residents are and the way the team are managing the virus. My uncle enjoys the meals and social interaction in the dining room and occasionally the lounge.

I am very impressed by the care provided by Ruckland Court. Throughout her residency, my mother was always treated with respect and professionalism. All the staff were so consistently friendly to both my mother and her friends and relatives alike. She had a very long and fulfilling life and Ruckland
Court provided a wonderful environment for her final years. I cannot speak too highly of the care workers - a dreadfully undervalued profession in my opinion. My mother was so appreciative of her care and expressed this to all her family. We are so grateful to you all.

My family member's flat is very nice, with some of their own belongings from home to make it more personal. The care and understanding is excellent, even when times can be challenging. I am always being told what good food choice there is each day and that activities take place daily with staff support
to join in.
Because of Covid-19, I have not seen my family member but they are able to phone at any time they wish. Staff phone to keep me informed and let me know what my family member needs.
They are always professional and friendly which is very reassuring at these hard times and I know my family member is in such good hands.

Adam is our Home Manager at Ruckland Court and is passionate about caring for older people. Adam has worked at Ruckland Court since 2018 in various roles and was promoted from Deputy Manager to Home Manager in 2022. He knows our residents and their families well and is dedicated to providing the highest standards of person centred care.

Melissa

Melissa Stothard

Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2019

Melissa is our home administrator at Ruckland Court. She has worked here since 2019, previously working in hospitality management. Melissa’s grandmother moved into Ruckland Court, and she was impressed, so she decided to apply for the role when it became available. She enjoys the homely and welcoming atmosphere and loves to support our home and get to know our residents and their families.

Sharon

Sharon Robinson

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2002

Sharon Robinson has been a carer and now progressed to Deputy Manager at Ruckland Court Care Home. She has been at Ruckland for over 20 years. To obtain a better understanding of her job she became the Dementia Champion for Ruckland Court.


Sharon helps residents take part in activities such as gardening and takes photos so they can enjoy talking about their experiences later. She also takes part in Dementia Cafes hosted at the home and enjoys supporting families and helping them to understand dementia better.

Stacy

Stacy Poucher

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2024

Stacy Poucher is our Deputy Manager at Ruckland Court. Stacy’s passion for caring started when she supported her nan growing up. She went on to study Health and Social Care at Lincoln University and began her career as a carer 8 years ago. Since then, she progressed to Senior and is now Deputy Manager. She is dedicated to providing person-centred care and supporting both residents and staff to create a warm and welcoming environment.

Michelle

Michelle Middleton

Job Title: Client Services Manager Joined: 2016

Michelle has worked at Ruckland Court since 2016.


Progressing to the role of Client Services Manager after being in the role of Head Housekeeper. Michelle supervises the day-to-day operations in the customer service department, particularly focusing on food and beverage service and helping to maintain the high standards in the Home.


She was recognised with a Country Court award for ‘Our Values’ for her dedication to our residents. Michelle is passionate about recognising the little things that matter to people and doing her best to ensure our residents lead fulfilled lives.

April Hardy

Job Title: Lead Well-being Coordinator Joined: 2024

April has been our Well-being Lead for a year and loves how varied each day is. She’s passionate about learning each resident’s life story to create meaningful, person-centred activities. With a background in nurseries and pre-schools, she brings her experience in engaging activities to all ages. Her goal is to enrich residents’ lives and make every day enjoyable here at Ruckland Court.

Denise

Denise Lawson

Job Title: Care Assistant

Denise has been a Care Assistant at Ruckland Court Care Home since 2012. As part of our care team she is responsible for providing five star care for our residents. She was recognised with a Country Court Care Hero award for putting residents at the heart of everything she does. Denise is passionate about dementia care and will always show compassion and put others before herself.
