Paddock Hill is a residential care home situated in Gleadless and run by Sheffcare Limited; a not-for-profit provider of excellent care. The home has recently opened two new Dementia Units at Paddock Hill. Both units have received a full refurbishment and are specifically designed to help those suffering from Dementia.
This care home provides person-centred care through individual care plans; designed to meet each service-user’s needs and treat them with the upmost dignity and respect. The home uses a key-worker system so that each resident is assigned a dedicated member of staff.
Paddock Hill organises regular entertainment and therapeutic activities, alongside Sheffcare’s activity workers and external volunteers. Activities include baking, flower arranging and chair-obics. The home organises day trips and holds fundraising and themed events throughout the year, and residents visit the nearby social clubs periodically.
Residents may bring items of their own furniture for their rooms, which all have telephone and television points, and a carer-calling system. The communal areas are bright and friendly. There is a laundry service, and a hairdresser, doctor and chiropodist visit the homes regularly.

My mother went into Paddock Hill in January 2015. When she was at home, she had 5 falls over 5 days, after rehabilitation she went home, but was unable to cope. Since being at Paddock Hill she is secure, warm and cared for. The staff are friendly and very caring.
