Faraday House is a residential service that provides support for two adults with learning disabilities. The service is located in the small town of Clydach within the city and country of Swansea. Faraday House provides person-centred support within a warm, friendly and homely environment. The service is committed to a philosophy of ‘doing with’ rather than ‘doing for’ while promoting the active support model.
The Active Support model is a tool which encourages each individual’s involvement in every aspect of their life through planning interventions and mentoring. This focuses on outcomes and allows monitoring of progress.
Staff are qualified, fully trained and experienced in putting the individual at the centre of their support while encouraging and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Faraday House is a two bedroom semi-detached Home situated on a quiet street. The service is walking distance from the main town. Located on the ground floor is a large shared lounge and dining room, a bathroom, a kitchen and laundry area. The first floor has a separate washroom and bedroom.
